5 Be the big sister

I had no plan on becoming a pawn or fall prey to their traps. There were just a few days left until i met Him. So Veronica and her husband called me and told me that we were having a family meeting. And since i was now part of the family they wanted me to be part of it.

In the beggining they talked about my relationship with Aleyna. Saying that we were sisters. And we alwaus had to be there for each other.

And after that they mentioned the marriage. They said that there had been a proposal in which the heir of a big family had requested to marry their eldest daughter. Since at the time they only knew about Aleyna and not me they had chosen Aleyna. So they wanted to meet her. But Aleyna was still young and they turned to me .

''Joana we love you as our daughter. And we know that you love Aleyna as your sister can you go and meet him in her place. She does not know how to behave and also they might say that we were hiding the fact we actually have an elder child. So will you go instead of your sister?''

I barely kept myself from spitting them on the face and their charity. But by doing that i would only loose points.They planned on throwing me out as soon as i was refused by him. So if i was going to ruin them i had to do it calmly. So i answered:

''Mother please don't say that of course i will help my sis. She is younger than me and she has to have the right to choose the person she will marry. If you had not taken me in i would be on the steeets. It is the least i can do for you. ''

She felt touched and later came to tell me more about him. His name was Brent he was the heir of one of the biggest family of Arkania. He was known to be picky with the women whom he dates. Even if he would refuse me i wouldn't have to be worried cause they would wait me with open arms.

As if , what a big fat lie. Anyway i asked her to show me how to behave and told her to choose an outfit that would hide my wound which was still bandaged and not yet healed. She sweetly accepted my requests. She told me the meeting with him was in two days.

So i had very little time to prepare myself. But i was determined to make him interested in me. It was about time i showed my true skills.
