Chapter 1. The Slumber Party Ends

In the confines of a dark, hot coffin is a woman that's meant to be long gone and decomposed to organic matter or even crude oil; her body still intact, even to her fingernails. Like that isn't bizarre enough… She moved.

Her eyeballs moved within her closed eyes. She seems to be in a half-conscious state, dreaming or reminiscing about an episode that happened. She was on the run, sprinting like her life depended on it, her life did depend on it.

"You can finally go to meet your pregnant sister and her unborn child."

An eerie baritone voice rumbled from behind her, making her panic hit the roof as she tried to run faster. Her warlock armor and dress, which always remained impeccable even in the deadliest battle, was now ruined, tattered, and fully drenched in blood, her blood.

She had cuts in every visible part of her body and a glaring large stab on her lower stomach with the black as night dagger still buried deep within her viscera.

It's a great surprise she can even lift herself, yet she's running. Very surprising, or maybe not.

On the snow-painted ground, her weak but dogged feet crumpled the pure white snow, the crunching of snow particles sounding at the impact, allowing her pursuer to keep alert of her location.

He was very close; she could feel his bloodlust aura. Not in her wildest dreams would she think this day would come, not that's it's so farfetched to be true, it was their reality all along.

She looked back to see the face of the man that she used to love, that she still loves; his face was void of the usual warmth, it was now replaced with a sinister and ruthless expression. As she turned back, a branch caught her helmet and yanked it off her head. A thick and long mass flowed down from her head.

She cried out in horror, not stopping. She knew that she couldn't hide from him anymore, not with her glowing mass of 2ft long hair. The glow of her hair could light up a 3km radius, but now it's just faint, like a hive of fireflies. The glow of her hair flickered as her breath became even more labored, she was on her last breath.

The man chasing her would have caught up with her if not for the fact that he was equally as mortally wounded as her, though without a stab wound.

Also, unlike her, he was a human. He was just a meter close to her, and his obsidian sword, her sole Achilles heel, flew through the wing like a dogged arrow, moving steadily towards Nurna ribcage, where the priciest thing in the land of Lestka, her heart, was situated.

The unconscious woman screamed in the coffin, and her hair suddenly lit up like a light bulb. Her breath came shortly afterwards. The coffin became silent once more. The insides of the spacious coffin was now illuminated. It was a casket made of pure gold.

In the brightly lit casket, the woman clothed in pure white glowing garment and a crown of flowers on her head woke up. Her eyelids flickered open at lightning speed, revealing her shiny golden eyes. The Nurna is awoken!

Nurna tried to sit up, still feeling quite groggy. It would take anyone a while to get their bearing straight after sleeping for close to a millennium.

"Sss," she hissed as she bumped her head while trying to get up. Her face was getting flushed from the heat in the confined space; her clear eyes that looked like a clear pond of milk studded with golden stars watered, her lungs failing the moment she gained consciousness.

She had to keep her confusion and worry aside for a while; she has to survive first. The only clear memory, which may even just be a figment of her imagination, was the dream she had earlier. She had no idea on what she was or what to do.

Thankfully, her body instincts took over. Just as she closed her eyes, she felt the earth shake around her. The earth rumbled from within, causing a tremor on the surface.

It took a violent turn as the ground started to split open. It was an earthquake; the ground split deep, to where Nurna's coffin was, about 100km into the earth.

An antigravity force slowly but steadily lifted Nurna's coffin deep from the earth to the crust. The golden coffin was standing straight. It was a cuboidal box in something that looked like a barred cylindrical cage made of embers like glowing burning iron.

The cage creaked open, and the coffin sprung open naturally, making the unsuspecting Nurna fall out of the coffin unceremoniously.

She stayed crumpled on the ground, her heart thumping loudly. Someone was approaching her. The thought of the entity cautiously walking towards her being the man in her dream made her rise her head up swiftly in panic.

It was not the scary man; it was a woman. The woman stood there before her, her fair face now pale as sheets.

Thankfully, her eyes were being held by her eye muscles; if not, they would have fallen out of their sockets with how widened her eyes were, her pupils were stretched beyond dilation, and her small mouth hung open as she stood there in what looked like horror and fascination.

Nurna didn't squint her eyes despite the harsh rays of the sun hitting her eyes as she scanned the plump cute lady in front of her.

It soon turned to a showdown of the dumb as both women stood still where they were, not saying a word, Nurna on the ground, sitting there blankly as a little fragment of her memory started trickling slowly into her mind and Filo above her, wondering whether to run away or call someone to assist in saving the living doll on the ground.

She scanned her hair that made the atmosphere look like the sun was shining from the ground, under the tree branches, to her body her priestly white attire and her little bare feet.

Her porcelain skin seemed to glow with an otherworldly luminescence. Her golden eyes were wide and captivating, fringed by impossibly long lashes that cast delicate shadows on her cheeks. She also had moles right beneath the eyelid of her left eye.

Her hair, a cascade flowing down her back like a river of liquid gold, each strand catching the light with an ethereal shine. The simple robe draped flawlessly on her slender form, making her look like a living goddess who had somehow stumbled into the mortal world.

"What are you?" she sputtered.

Nurna furrowed her eyebrows. Though she didn't understand the strange woman's language, she had the same question in mind.

Filo took out a kite-shaped transparent object and put it beneath her, above Nurna's face before saying something.

"Who is this?" she seemed to be talking to the object in her hand.

The object made some weird sounds before displaying related pictures of Nurna found on the cybernet. Filo scrolled sideways to see what was written about the lady on the ground. She gasped loudly, the kite-shaped object falling off her hand as she subconsciously took three steps backwards, away from the woman.
