7 Chapter 7 - Comparing **** sizes (Full title at the bottom)

A few days later.

It had been 15 days since Long Ren arrived at his new home in Star Sect. He had been living very comfortably all these days, just doing his daily routine as always.

If there is anything that Long Ren wanted to complain about, no, improve upon rather, is his food quality. All he was provided with for consumption are some tasteless bread and meat jerky.

He missed his usual taste of breakfast such as milk and cereal, maybe some oatmeal or porridge, heck, even sometimes fried rice!

All the food he had on him is tasteless and bland, eew.

But then again, beggars can't be choosers. He didn't have any money on him, nor did Xing Lao give him any, so, he was stuck with this. At least until Xing Lao came back, as Long Ren will ask to borrow some money.

Sure, he could work on some tasks that He found on the previously visited 5-story pagoda such as weed pulling, garden hoeing, etc. BUT!

He will not compromise any of his sleeping hours for any sort of reason whatsoever, therefore, if Xing Lao won't lend him some money to buy more tasty foods, He will just suck it up and eat what he was given.

Sleep hours > Food

Anyways, today, while Long Ren was sleepi….Cultivating, he heard a knock on the door. He got up and rubbed his half-closed eyes and opened the door, to see someone he knew. Of course, it is Xing Lao

"Boy, How was your progress these past few days." Xing Lao asks as he squinted his eyes at Long Ren's unkempt appearance.

Mind you, currently, it is still 3 pm in the evening, therefore, Xing Lao thought Long Ren had been slacking on his cultivation and was lazing around all day every day. Which is a reasonable guess.

But, after checking Long Ren's body (A/N: in a non-sexual way you creepos), He is happy that Long Ren had reached rank 1, and from the fluctuations of his qi, he had reached it for quite some time.

'Good thing he is not slacking on his cultivation and just lazing around, that would be disappointing if he did.' Xing Lao thought to himself, feeling content with Long Ren's progress

Though, he is still confused as to why Long Ren was sleeping at 3 pm,

'He won't be able to grow a magnificent beard such as mine if he kept sleeping in weird times. Un, Un…A disciple of mine needs to have a beard at least half as good as mine.'

If Long Ren knew what Xing Lao was thinking about, He would shudder as he had an absolutely big fat ZERO percent chance of growing out his beard, even if it meant betraying his future master!

Long Ren quickly let Xing Lao in and brought him to his bedroom. Long Ren had put back his godly artifact (futon) into his storage ring as he is sure anyone who laid eyes on his artifact would covet it.

He wants to take absolutely zero chance of compromising his futon.

As they both sat down, Long Ren and Xing Lao each brought out a cup from their storage ring.

Long Ren's cup is just a normal plain-looking glass cup while Xing Lao's has a precious-looking cup with dozens of beautiful stars carved onto its exterior.

This is a weird culture that Long Ren had learned from Xing Lao. Apparently, in this world, or at least in this continent, every time people meet with each other, they will bring a cup, their own personal cup to the meeting.

They would then proceed to sit down at the meeting place, bring their respective cups out, and compare them to each other.

This culture essentially boils down to one phrase

"My d*** is bigger than yours."

People in this world literally whip their cups (d***) out and the one with the better-looking (bigger) cup (d***) has the mental upper hand in the meeting. A gigachad move, one might say.

Anyways, after whipping their cups out and not filling them with anything, Xing Lao brought out six cultivation manuals and placed them on the table, letting Long Ren read their titles.

'Space Trinity cultivation manual,'

'Introduction to Spatial attribute, Cultivation done Easy! Follow these simple steps and even Apes can reach Rank 10 in 20 years! Earth Realm in 30, and Sky Realm in 75!!!'

'Extreme Spatial cultivation manual,'

'...'

'One of them is really not like the others HUH!' Long Ren exclaimed loudly in his mind, completely baffled by the clickbait elements he is seeing in this supposed cultivation world!

'There has got to be something seriously wrong with this world! Am I not the only reincarnated person here?! If so, that may explain the stupid amount of pop-culture references and potentially modern items here!' Long Ren silently thought, he genuinely believed now that he is most likely not the first and only reincarnated person here!

Xing Lao looked at the baffled and confused look on Long Ren's face, so he proceeds to explain.

"There are several options in front of you. The "Space Trinity" manual is good to train your body, mind, and soul and integrating spatial attributes into them evenly. It encompasses many subjects but because of that, It will be extremely long for you to cultivate it to perfection." Xing Lao explained as He points at the "Space Trinity" manual

Xing Lao then points at the second book.

"The "Extreme Spatial" manual is to solely focus on developing your spatial affinity skills, It is very useful to enhance your spatial attacks but your body will be left uncultivated, essentially making you a glass cannon."

'Another popular term in the modern world…or maybe I'm just thinking too much..' Long Ren thought to himself but quickly discarded these useless thoughts as he needs to concentrate right now.

"Next, this third manual has a rather weird name, but it is the best out of all six. It is a manual I found on one of my tomb explorations years ago. I have read through all of the book and was very surprised at its contents. I would have trained with this manual as my primary cultivation method had my age not reached the hundreds." Xing Lao said, sighing loudly at the end.

Long Ren could hear the regret in Xing Lao's words as he explains the cultivation manual. But then, his expression turned into a happy and expectant one.

"I sincerely believe you, as my potential student to learn this manual even if I could guide you better on "Space Trinity" as that's what I'm cultivating, but, You can choose by yourself. I will come back tomorrow and hear your decision."

Xing Lao then proceeds to explain the rest of the manuals he had pulled out, but Long Ren felt that the rest are not even on the same level as the first three, meaning, a straight-up No.

Xing Lao then got up and leave after doing some small talks and courtesy farewells, leaving little room for discussion.

Xing Lao wanted Long Ren to think everything through alone and weigh the pros and cons by himself.

Seeing Xing Lao's fleeing back for the second time, he felt another wave of gratefulness towards his potential teacher. He then thinks about what Xing Lao had explained to him.

'Is there even a need to think about, like really? I can hear your regret, Of course, I will choose the third manual, even if it sounds so sketchy.' Long Ren decided at that spot

He felt his teacher's regret, and also his expectations toward him. Long Ren had now regarded Xing Lao as his teacher fully, and He is not planning on letting his first cultivation world teacher down. He will not repeat what he did in middle school!

Long Ren then went back into his bedroom, took out his precious artifact, and lay down on its soft fluffy surface, but as he was just about to sleep, he remembered something.

'Ah, I forgot to ask for allowances to buy food….Oh well, I can ask teacher tomorrow.'

Was his last thoughts as he fell asleep on the deep embrace of his heavenly partner (futon).
