6 Chapter 6 - Have eyes but failed to see Mount Tai!....Maybe
These next few days have been some of the best days Long Ren has ever had.
The [Demon (Human) Princess "Cloth Demon" Sleeping set (Futon + Pillow) (Cannot Be Destroyed)] Long Ren received a few days ago could be said to be his now most prized possession, maybe even more than the precious necklace he is currently wearing.
He had been using it practically 24/7, as he does literally everything on it. For one, it is extremely comfortable, to the point where he does not ever want to leave its side ever, which he followed through.
The comfiness of the futon is unbelievably heavenly.
He had been a fan of the princess ever since he read her manga and dreamt of trying her creations, and now that he did, it was immaculate.
The silkiness of the futon as it covers your skin felt too nice, way too nice. The softness of the pillow as he rests his head upon it is too embracing.
Maybe he's exaggerating it a bit, maybe, but he felt that this sleeping set is about 10x better than his previous world's. Amazing how a demon (human) princess can make such a godly artifact. Yep, Long Ren is now regarding this set as a god's artifact.
And for two, it somehow increases his cultivation speed.
He could not determine whether it was because he had just broken through that his cultivation speed increased, because the Futon really has speed-enhancing capabilities, or even just because his mood is always perfect when he cultivates on top of it.
Either way, it is a good thing.
He now divides his day-to-day time schedule like this.
12 hours of sleep divided into two 6 hours shifts.
8 hours of cultivating, which, when added with the 12 hours of sleeping, means Long Ren essentially slept for 14 out of 24 hours per day
For the rest 4 hours? It is used to eat, drink, and work his body out, just so it doesn't deteriorate. Food and drinks are already provided by Xing Lao, it is stored inside the ring.
Exercising equipment is also provided, which surprised Long Ren a lot to see these pieces of equipment in a cultivation world.
But, Long Ren still needed to get some sunlight and touch grass so he went out every once in a while to run. He avoided most crowded places though as he feels interacting with anyone will only cut his precious cuddling time with his futon.
He is using 26 hours out of the 24 hours available to him every single day to its full capacity. How efficient!
Xing Lao had told Long Ren before that when one ascends above rank 10, they would not need to bother to take care of their body anymore, in the sense that eating and drinking are no longer essential as their body will be capable of surviving through the absorbed qi alone.
Therefore, an ascended (above rank 10) cultivators can eat anything they want to, or even eat nothing at all, and their body can still stay at peak perfect condition. Granted, the cultivators still need to cultivate diligently, or else they can still turn fat or become very skinny.
Hence why there are practically no "ugly" ascended cultivators, in a sense.
But Long Ren digress, he had just started his cultivation journey and is currently only rank 1. Ascending is a long-term goal for him, as that would take years to achieve.
'I have been practicing the Star Energy cultivation manual Xing Lao gave me a while back. It does increase my cultivation speed by quite a bit as compared to just directly absorbing the qi around me.'
'I guess I'll keep practicing this until Xing Lao provides me with a better one like he said he would.' Long Ren thought to himself and continued his daily routine.
Long Ren felt that he had forgotten something though, but if he had forgotten it, then surely it will not be of any importance.
'Meh, it's time for my 1st sleep shift, Good Day!' Long Ren thought to himself while jumping into the sweet embrace of his futon.

Meanwhile, in the academy…
An ascended rank cultivator is currently standing in front of the class, saying his goodbyes to the leaving students with a fierce expression.
After everyone had left the room, He sat down on his chair while looking at a certain document that had a certain picture on it. Guess whose picture was it.
"Long Ren...A New student yet has not even shown his face once to greet any teacher in the academy. How impudent! Does he not have any respect at all for his elders?!" He madly harrumphed like a gorilla as his eyes turned bloodshot at the disrespect he thinks he was given.
"Have eyes but failed to see Mount Tai! Wait until I teach you some manners!!!" He proudly declared, as If he's doing a noble thing by wanting to beat a rank 1 cultivator up
As he starts plotting how he will confront Long Ren, he read the notes written on the bottom
"Extra note: Brought in personally by Grand Elder Xing Lao, Candidate for Grand Elder Xing Lao's personal disciple."
'...'
The ascended rank cultivator suddenly changes his expression.
"Haha, well, I guess new students need a break as well, He must be tired from the long journey after all, Ha ha ha, yes Indeed…" He softly said while stroking his pathetic excuse of a beard and left the classroom slowly, deciding to not mess with Long Ren.
