5 Chapter 5 - Gacha Here, Gacha There, You can’t ever escape the Gacha

'Uhhh…where did you come from?!?!'

After hearing the ever-so mechanical and monotone voice in his head, Long Ren immediately felt surreal.

But then again, as Long Ren thinks this through, it has only been a couple of days since he transmigrated, and most importantly, started his cultivation journey.

Whether his transmigration brought his system here as well, or it was already in this body in the first place, it doesn't matter.

What matters right now, is that He, Long Ren, have a dream…

He meant he has a system now.

Back to the main point, Long Ren now has an actual cheat with him. He hopes that his system would bring him many benefits like those he saw in some ridiculously overpowered fanfic systems.

The Gacha system sounds very gimmicky and, for him personally, annoying. The amount of salt he had procured from his previous experiences could most likely scare the scariest evil ghosts away.

It's that much.

Thankfully, in this world, He has no one to compare his luck to (Hopefully he is the only one who has this system), and the amount of salt he gains will be minimal.

'Time to get to know it, I suppose.' Long Ren thought to himself, then starts asking his newly acquired system what it's capable of

'System, show me everything you can do, locked and unlocked.' Long Ren inquired

[Yes, I am the Gacha System, Therefore you Only have 1 feature and 2 sub-feature, the Gacha, the Gacha Inventory stash, and The daily log-in]

Isn't that too minimal?

Long Ren knew its name, The Gacha System, so it should have gacha as its main feature but, really? Nothing else?

'Are you sure that's all you do?' Long Ren asks

[Yes indeed only these three functions are available for Master. Though, upgrades may appear as Master grows.]

'So System grows along with me, that's something. But gacha though, it can be really overpowered, or severely underpowered, just depends on my luck…which is questionable at best, shit at worst.'

Long Ren can more or less guess how this simple System would work, but, just to be sure, He asks his system to explain more in detail

[The Gacha - Odds are not shown, Odds can be changed if Master [Redacted], no 10+1 roll bonus, no pity system] (A/N: Even FGO's pity sucks, so MC needs to suffer as well, >:'( Imagine pity-ing castoria, not me surely)

[Gacha Inventory Stash (Inventory) - All rewards rolled from Gacha will be awarded here and stays in perfect condition until taken out. Items cannot go back in once taken, Items from the Outside world cannot go in]

[Daily Log-In - Each day, a default amount of 1 Devil Quartz (A/N: 1 roll is 1 quartz, not 3, dunno where you get that info from) will be rewarded. Under extreme special conditions, the amount may be both decreased and or increased.]

'...'

'Why do I feel like this system is too familiar with a certain game I've played before….Must be a coincidence, surely,'

All in all, Long Ren felt that this system is really simple. Other than the redacted things, all he needs to do is Log in every day, roll, and take out the items when needed. Long Ren guessed that he would only have little to no interaction with the system.

All he needs to do to get stronger faster is just to get lucky….

'If only it was that easy haha…'

All in all, Long Ren felt his luck was already good to get a system, so he can't really complain now, can he.

Before, all Long Ren wanted to do was to train peacefully for a while under Xing Lao's tutelage and grow stronger steadily until he reached a bottleneck.

But now, well, he's still aiming to do those things but faster, with a little bit, or maybe, a lot of help, depending on his luck.

With all that out of the way, there's only one thing left to do for the day. The time right now is just about before midnight, meaning he can do 2 consecutive rolls.

'Log-in'

[Successfully Logged-in, 1x Devil Quartz]

Long Ren then immediately commanded inside his mind to roll and a familiar screen appeared in his mindscape

'What a ripoff!' He immediately thought.

As the orbs spun faster and faster, they stretched into one line, and finally, it exploded, its shape then turned into a book.

[Space body cultivation technique Part 1 (Incomplete 1/2) acquired]

Looking at the rewards of his first-ever roll, Long Ren didn't know if its good or not

Space, the element he apparently has the most affinity with, is in the book's title, so it's the perfect cultivation technique for him, but whether it is a strong one or not, He didn't know.

He willed the book to appear in his hand and it did. Looking at the clean and polished book, enveloped in a hard and sturdy cover, Long Ren felt cheated

'Aren't cultivation books supposed to be all dusty and ancient-like, made out of paper or bamboo and such, why does this one come in a hardcover, Is this just a novel haha…' Long Ren joked to himself

He already guessed that the system most likely just copied the contents and placed it into a medium he was more comfortable with.

Long Ren had read a lot of novels in his past life, and hardcovers are always welcome, though they are usually expensive.

Long Ren read through the book briefly and he understood….nothing.

This means one of two things, either this is a complete scam and doo doo reward, or a high-leveled complicated technique he is currently unable to comprehend.

Long Ren is leaning more towards the latter conclusion. As the book is only the first part, he finds it hard to believe the system would divide a sham into two parts.

That was just his hypothesis though, and only time will tell whether he was right or wrong.

[Daily reset] The mechanical voice resounded in his mind once again, indicating that the day had passed

'System, log me in and roll again' Long Ren willed in his mind, and the familiar summoning mechanic appeared once again

This time, the orbs spun and divided into three lines. And as it explodes, its shape morphed into something he is quite familiar with.

[Demon (Human) Princess "Cloth Demon" Sleeping set (Futon + Pillow) (Cannot Be Destroyed) acquired]

'...'

'System.'

[Yes Master?]

" I'LL LOVE YOU TILL DEATH DO US APART!!!"

Was his last words before he quickly took his prized possession out of his inventory and plunged into the sweet sweet embrace of the cloth demon's soft and silky skin.
