4 Chapter 4 - Uhh….Where did you come from?

"Inside this storage ring is your cultivation materials for one whole year. There are cultivation classes you can take. Just run for 20 minutes to the north to reach the academy building.

From today on, I declare you, Long Ren, as an Inner Disciple of the Star Sect. May the star force be with you!" Xing Lao declared, rather excitedly

Long Ren, hearing the familiar phrase kind of felt weird, as this is supposed to be a cultivation world, why did it appear here, and so fast at that!

Xing Lao then proceeded to teach Long Ren the formalities that he should know and do after seeing Long Ren just blankly staring at him. He just got a new status, react properly!

After helping Long Ren get accustomed to his new home, Xing Lao brought Long Ren into his new bedroom/cultivation room.

Xing Lao then proceeds to teach Long Ren slowly about the basics of how to cultivate.

Fell some qi or energy in the air, transfer it into meridian one, and onto meridian two, to unblock his innate vein blood block mumbo jumbos or whatever.

After a few hours, Xing Lao felt very satisfied with Long Ren's progress.

In just this short amount of time, Long Ren had mastered how to guide the qi in the air into his body.

This fact surprised him greatly as his cultivation talent seemed to be higher than he initially thought!

These cases do happen, but very rarely, where the magical ball calculates a person's talents wrongly.

Usually, the talent was counted too high, but this, this is a nice surprise.

Xing Lao's speed when he started out was not that much faster than Long Ren's, only around 10%, but that was because Xing Lao did not have any teacher to guide him then.

'This boy's talent is just a bit lower than mine… Looks like he is the perfect successor for me… hopefully, he works just as hard as I did'

Long Ren was still oblivious to Xing Lao's thoughts, He didn't know that his standing in Xing Lao's mind was increasing by the second.

But, he couldn't care less about that for now, as the feeling of qi invading and strengthening his body, albeit slowly, is very addicting!

If Long Ren made a list of what he likes to do, Sleeping would definitely be number one, followed by this newly found addicting activity, Cultivating!!!

Xing Lao then said his goodbyes to Long Ren while dropping a few hints on him. Xing Lao wanted Long Ren to be his personal disciple.

Long Ren did catch on to those, but he felt weird being essentially courted by a geezer who is a beard fanatic

'Well, at least he's a good geezer.' Long Ren thought to himself.

He felt Xing Lao had treated him very nicely since the time they got to know each other, so, he wouldn't really mind becoming Xing Lao's personal disciple

Of course, they both need time to carefully decide, so their official relationship won't start immediately.

"Remember, Inside your storage ring is our sect's staple Star Energy cultivation method, you will use that for now while I try to find a more suitable one for you.

Your talent is only so-so as compared to other Inner disciples, not to mention you started at 12 while they started at the tender age of 7, so you have to work hard to catch up!"

Xing Lao said as he prepared to leave, saying it in a serious and commanding tone. He doesn't want to tell Long Ren of his real talent just yet.

Most of what he said was true though, as Long Ren did start a bit late, and him getting high on his supreme talent is the last thing Xing Lao wanted to happen.

Long Ren nodded at Xing Lao's remark. Long Ren still thought he only had medium-level talent and the reason He got accepted into the Inner disciple role this easily, coupled with the good treatment he received, is only due to his unique Spatial attribute, which is true to a certain degree.

Seeing his nod, Xing Lao nodded as well, feeling content with Long Ren's response.

Xing Lao then left Long Ren's home and went towards the Sect's library, hoping to find some suitable cultivation technique candidates for his new and only disciple

Since Long Ren is his first disciple, He is willing to go all out. The primary cultivation technique he is using is of Spatial attribute as well, as Xing Lao himself is a Spatial attribute cultivator, but, having other options is always better than having none.

Seeing Xing Lao's fleeting back, a smile appeared on Long Ren's face. This is the first time in two years' worth of memories that he was treated this nicely, since, in the village, Burly kept everyone away from him.

Though Long Ren does not know if Xing Lao's care is genuine or not, he still feels gratitude for all the things Xing Lao had done for him, and Long Ren made a promise to himself to pay Xing Lao back later whenever he could, but for now, Long Ren only wanted to indulge in that addicting feeling of cultivation once more!

Long Ren came back to his bed/cultivation room and just now realized that his bed is….how to say, a better wooden plank.

Sure it is an upgrade from the broken-down wooden plank from his old home, but…a plank is still a plank!

He who had lived in pure comfort and bliss, who had experienced nirvana through the comfy sheets of his beds, is now subjected to this…inhumane torture!

All he had to help him cope is this one sorry excuse of a pillow…AND IT'S FILLED WITH HAY!!!!! HAY!!!!

Long Ren sighed very loudly, as loud as he could to let his frustrations out. He decided to just cultivate as that brings about the same amount of comfort as if he slept on that torture device.

From Xing Lao's explanation, Cultivating could act as a replacement for sleeping, but, with a 4 to 1 ratio. Meaning, 4 hours of cultivation brings about 1 hour of sleep benefits.

As he was only gonna get barely 2 hours of sleep anyway, Long Ren decided to just cultivate all day all night. Or at least until Xing Lao came back to his home.

3 days later, after following the Star Energy cultivation technique, Long Ren felt something different was happening inside his body. He felt extremely strong as power surged into his body.

'Is this….the famous breakthrough?!' Long Ren exclaimed in his heart, very excitedly as he was about to get rid of his breakthrough virginity!

Not long after, his virginity was indeed, broken.

Long Ren felt happy about his achievement, though he did not have any other sample to compare with, he felt his speed to be pretty fast.

And then, all of a sudden, a mechanical voice rang through Long Ren's head
