1 School to something else

As the day goes on at piloting school. I couldn't stop smiling, because if they see it slip even once, my life will be in the hands of darkness. I get in trouble with the teachers because of how I act, if I didn't it will hurt more when rumors go around about me from others in the academy. I have two friends and teammates Pidge and Hunk. Pidge, I meet here. He loves tec stuff, but I think he finds me annoying. probably, because I don't allow my mask fall with her. Hunk, I knew him since we were little kids. I can rely on him for anything and he is the only person, I let a little bit of mask slip.

I get teased, called names, bullied, and beaten. I act like this is because I'm the only woman in this academy, they don't allow women to join. I was only allowed to join because of my father used to be one of the best pilots, but he died when I was a kid. I took it really hard, but I had my family and Hunk it was nice to have them, but it still hurts so much.

Seeing my family happy, it makes me happy. Wish that I can be like that now. But now, I don't see them any more, because I have to live in the academy. But seeing how my friends are always so happy, it makes me happy for them. When we are all together hurts a lot for some reason.. Smiling hurts the most. I just want to break down and cry, because it hurts so much. Though, I feel some relief, when I cut my tanned wrist. Watching the crimson red blood drip down my arm and it makes me sigh of relief with a small smile, like when I would watch space on the rooftop with my dad again..

As class was done, I wave bye to my friend with that cheesy smile as I turn to the way to my room. When I got far enough my face dropped the act and turned into a grim frown. As I walked down people started whispering while taking peeks at me, while some laughed at me as I got to my room.

When I got there the door opened. I walked in and the door closed behind me. I clench my fists in rage and punched the wall. I turned my back to the wall, I leaned against the wall as tears start pouring from my eyes with me saying over and over. 'I'm sorry' and 'It hurts so bad'

As the tears start coming down faster. She gripped her head, because it started pounding with pain shooting up in her head. Which made her have flashbacks of her life.

Like when, she was with her father looking at the stars. Hanging with her family without her dad, when she told her family that she was joining the academy to become a pilot, which they didn't except or accept. Which hurt her, deeply.. As she walks down the halls, people are saying mean things about her and laughing. The hall was dim, but her and the people wear noticeable. Her getting beat up by people, since she was female..

She sat there crying grabbing her chocolate brown long curly-ish hair, crouched down against the wall with her head against her legs.

The door soon opened to Hunk, when he saw her, he ran over to her and brought her into a big hug as she cried into chest. She keeps saying 'sorry' over and over again. "Shhh~.. It is ok, Lorance. It is ok, you did nothing wrong.." Hunk said, rubbing circles on her back. She looked up at the boy with a small smile with tears still streaming from her eyes. He moves his hands from her back to her cheeks rubbing away the tears. "Come on, Pidge is waiting for us. She wants to try our her new invention." That made me smile. I got up off of Hunk and smiled as I ran to the bathroom quickly. I grabbed a knife and put the knife between my boobs. When I got back Hunk was waiting for me. "Ready?" Hunk asked, I shook yes.

We snuck out to Pidge. Hunk was getting nervous, I can see it in his face. As we saw him, he whispered, "What took you guys so long?" He asked, a little angry. "Sorry.." I whisper to him. "Come on." He whispered to us moving his hand for us to follow. We made it outside and went a little bit far away for the academy. We sat down on top of a hill. Pidge starts pulling her tec stuff out. "What is that stuff?" Hunk asked. "I can hear radio calls from outer space from fast things like ships," he says, smiling.

I look at him like he is amazing. I wish I can be useful like that. Pidge starts getting excited, because he starts getting something on there. "It keeps repeating 'Voltron', I wonder what it means?" Pidge said, looking at us. We both shrugged. Then we heard yelling and a few bangs we look at our school it was going on lock down. Which it means it is covered in metal. Oh great!

Where is that yelling coming from? "Look over there!" Hunk said, pointing at people and a big white tent with lots of guards. "What is happening?" I asked, loud enough they can hear me. Pidge went on to his computer and started typing really fast. "What are you doing?" Hunk asked, looking over. "Hacking inside that tents video camera." She said, like it was nothing. My eyes widen a little, but Hunks reaction was a different. "HACKING!" He yelled, which made me giggle a little, which made him blush. "Got it!" Pidge cheered. We look at the screen it was Takashi Shirogane. He was strapped on a table with people in full white head to toe suits asking him questions. Well trying, he keeps saying over and over.. 'There coming we need to leave.' This making us all gasp.

I run down the sand hill. "Lorance, where are you going!!??" They yelled, following me, than a whole bunch of booms star went off. Then a guy went inside. "Keith..." I whisper, then he comes out holding a passed out shiro. I ran over to him with my friends who caught up partly out of breath. "Is he okay?" I asked him, "I don't know." He said, nonchalantly that made me crack. "What do you mean you don't know.." He pulled my arm to his motorcycle with my friends. Hunk got in the back with Shiro. There were people after us. Keith was driving as I was behind him, and Pidge was behind me.

"Hey pidge, hold my hips. I need to put my hair up, so it doesn't keep hitting you in the face." pidge grabs my hips with a blush. I let go of Keith and put my hair in a bun. "Good." I grad back onto Keith's stomach tightly, making him blush like a madman. Weirdo.

As we lose them we started going with ease, then we arrived at a little place. Keith stopped, me and my friends got off first. I let go of keith and hopped off. "Thanks for a ride." I said with a cheesy smile, making him smirk. "No problem." He says as he picks up Takashi Shirogane. We went into the house where he starts to wake up.

He looked nervous at first then relaxed, once he saw Keith. "What happened?" Keith asks him, "All I remember is that.. I got taken by aliens with my teammates and that's all.. It hurts to try to remember.." He muttered, rubbing his head. "Well, we will relax for a bit then we'll head out. I got something that can help us get some information." Keith said, walking to sit on the couch putting Takashi Shirogane beside him. "Well, my name is Takashi Shirogane, but call me Shiro." He said looking at us. "I'm Hunk, nice to meet you." Hunk said, smiling and waving. "I'm pidge, I like tec stuff." He says, fixing his glasses. "I'm Lorance, nice to meet you." I say with a grin as I took my hair out of the bun putting the hair elastic on my wrist. "I'm keith." keith said in an annoyed tone, I wonder why. Then everyone started talking to each other, I just stood silent. I didn't really know what to say.

"I'm going to go outside for a bit." I said, smiling. "Is something wrong?" Hunk asked. "No, it is just nice out. That's all." I said, smiling as I walk out of there. I walked away from the place. Once, I was a good distance away, I let my smile fade off my face. I laid the ground on my back, looking up at the sky. I was smiling, a general smile.. at the sky. Then, I hear footsteps coming over. "Come on, Lorance. We're going now." I smile at Pidge with that stupid smile. "Got it!" I said, getting up and walked over to the group.
