32 ch 32 Space and Time

When I exited my mindscape, I saw Nana pouring tea and Naji is by her side perched on bird stand. She asked, "How's the contracted beasts ,Dear?"

"Hoo?" Naji also asked.

I waved my hands and let out Grace, Gavel, Reza and the newest addition, Long. The room filled with smell of incense and they all huddled together by my side.

Long floated to my hands and I present him to Nana and Naji. The owl flew form his perch and landed on my shoulder. I instantly reacted,"Naji, you know you're heavy, right?"

Ever since he saw a cartoon with a parrot perched on a pirates shoulder, he always try to imitate it.

"Hooo.hooo...hooo?" He didn't pay attention to what I said. Naji's focus on the little dragon in my hand.

"Gruu?..gruuu!...guu!" Avatar Long said hello and was not a bit intimidated by the owl. "Gruuuuuu!" Long just flew above us and playfully taunt Naji.

"Hooo!" Naji try to chase the dragon. It's all just fun and game. I see Grace and the other two shaking thier heads on the rowdy pair.

"Well, I can now control water, air and blast a stream of ice. I also have a bit of control on gravity and I think I can fly like a superhero if I practice it a bit." I enumerated the power that Long was able to show in my mindscape.

"Haah!" I try to punch in the air and surprisingly, I don't feel I gain any additional feedback in terms of strength and speed. Maybe unlike the others, Long needs to mature a bit before I see additional changes.

Nana asked,"Is that all, Dear?" While sipping her tea. She added, "Back in the era of the gods, the powerful dragons can create thier dens by manipulating space."

"Oh, that would be handy. Long, come down for a sec." I asked the dragon and he flew back to my hands followed by Naji who perched on my shoulder. 'Seriously!'

I asked," Long, can you manipulate space?"

"Gruuuu?...gu..gu..gruuu!" He motioned his front paws in the air like a conductor of an orchestra. In the next instance, there is a slit of smoke in front of me. The same smoke that appeared when my companions come in and out my mindscape.

The smoke became a vortex but there is no suction felt in the room. "Gruuu.gu..gruuuu...gu...gruuuu!" Long said that he made changes in the entrance to my mindscape.

"Huh? What change?" I asked. I can feel that something happened to my mindscape but there was no windchime sound.

Not saying anything further, Long entered the vortex. 20 sec passed, he came back holding an onion and a worm. He presented it to me, "Guuu!"

"What?! Isn't that the onion and worm I inserted in my beast space! They can now be taken out?!" I'm surprised it was my earliest frustration when I'm figuring the mechanics of the BeastSpace.

I tried to touch the vortex but I could not enter it physically. 'Well, can't be too greedy."

"Neighh!"Baaaa!"Uakkk!" The other three immediately entered my Beast Space. When they came back, they all brought something out. Grace brought a branch, Gavel has a flower with roots in his mouth and Reza has a wiggling fish between her beak.

Not wanting to be left out, Naji entered the vortex but met a wall of resistance. Long tap my hands and motioned to allow the owl in. I complied and mentally gave the owl permission.

Naji tried again and this time he successfully pass through. He came out not long after with an apple. It's probably from Long's area. "HOOO!"

"Yes! Yes!Yehey!!!!!" I'm jumping up and down. Now I have a sort of inventory. I said to Nana, "Nana, do you want to check my Beast Space?"

She put down her tea and approach the vortex. She extended her arm into the smoke and retract it back. Nana then appraise her hand. When she determined that theres no resistance, she walk through it.

I immediately entered my mindscape to see Nana, looking at the 4 areas. My four contracted beast entered as well, followed by Naji who is enjoying the wide open sky.

Nana then asked Long, "Is the entrance permanent or are there some restrictions?

"Gu..guu.guuuu.gu.gu.guu.guu." He said that for the 4 of them, there is no restriction. For anyone else, they need to be invited in by me.

Nana nodded with approval. I get her concern. Since I can't enter my mindscape physically, it would be troubling if anyone can enter in a moment of carelessness.

"Guuu..guu..guuuuu.gu!" Long also added, that I set the rule in the Beast Space. So basically, I'm a god here.

I just realized, the opening Long created is in front of his totem statue. I scoop a handful of the spring water and try to levitate it through the vortex but it hit a wall. 'Damn, the world is still a bitch when regarding the Spring water.

After satisfying her curiosity Nana exited my Beast Space. I was about to follow but quicly made a detour on Reza and Long's area. I caught a white salmon and picked some fruits and levitated them out. Thankfully theres no resistance.

"Guys, I'm going back. Naji, you're staying here, right?" I asked the owl. I know he's a bit frustrated because he mostly stay at the training area.

"Hooo!"😚😚😚😙😙 He said he's not coming out. I nodded and exited my mindscape.

When I opened my eyes, I try to mentally close the vortex which immediately vanished. I picked up the fruits and the jumping white salmon. "Let's see how you taste!"

Nana and I exited the training room. Thankfully, I don't need a new enchanted bracelet to control my strength.

We made our way to the kitchen where I started to fillet the fish. The meat is also white with a sweet smell. Nana is washing the fruits. The only one I can recognize is the apple. For the others, all I could say is they look 'out of this world'.

"Dear, you can visit Turtle at the vet after lunch." Nana broke the silence.

'Oh yeah! He's still at the vets.' I replied, "Thanks for reminding me, Nana. When Mary----"

"Stop Dear! Don't say his name. Specially in front of me and the Flamels" She immediately stop me from saying the hooked guy's name. She warned, "He is a good man but he also control the element of TIME. Saying his name would alert him and he might just come here out of a whim."

"Oh sorry, Nana." I apologize and asked, "But he said he's scared of you?"

She nodded with a smile, "He should be. But him being able to manipulate TIME without consequences is troubling. He try to live alone and don't interact with anyone. However, you being from another world and is originally not a part of this world's past, present and future is an exception. You can interact with him normally, but if He appears in front of us, He always leave informations about the future that can be misinterpreted."

"Is he also the reason why you don't want me to meddle in the conflict about the twins?" I asked.

Nana just answered with a nod.

I already have an inkling on who he is. I remember the magic that drew me in to open the door at the clinic and what color it was. It was bright red orange. It could easily pass for.....
