1 chapter 1

Jennifer was walking towards her home from her college when she suddenly saw Leo there.

Jennifer was an ... interesting girl. She loves cricket and soccer more than she loves her dresses. In fact, she doesn't like dressing and dolling up.

Leo saw a girl on the basketball court. Well, not only a girl but also a dozen boys. All the boys are the players of his team and he is the captain. He sees how she dribbles the basketball skillfully and scores baskets over baskets till his players accept their defeat. She smirks at them and starts leaving for home. Leo felt incomplete, as if his soul is leaving him.

"Wait," he shouts at her to stop her, adding further, "Wanna play a match with me?"

Without saying anything, she takes the basketball and goes to the starting position. He just looks at her. When she doesn't reply anything, he looks at his players who signal them that she is dumb and deaf. He is surprised to see such a beautiful girl who doesn't even have a voice. He suddenly starts to feel pity on her.

He was lost in his own thoughts when there was a collision between his head and the ball. He looked near the source, only to find that it was her way of telling him to get ready.

He used all his energy in this match, but still he lost to the girl who won effortlessly. After all, why not? She had a good height. She was made for basketball...

Lunch break was over and the following three lectures were as interesting for him as a fly is interesting to a lion, note the sarcasm. It was just two minutes and this stupid history professor was teaching all about the American war of independence. Come on old man! Everyone knows about it...

Much to his relief, the bell rang and he was the first one to make a run for the door. Just when he was passing by a cricket court of his college, he heard a beautiful sound. It was the sound of someone giggling. He looked at the direction and once again saw the basketball girl. She was giggling at the way a boy was holding his bat.

"First, show me how to do it. If you yourself don't know about it, you have no right to giggle at me."

She took the bat and positioned himself at the crease, standing in a perfect position. The boy took the ball and bowled it, delivering a spin. Leo didn't expect this but the ball was a six. He looked at the girl carefully. He never saw a girl like her. Apparently, she is made for every sport. He doesn't know anything else, but he can't live without her.

So, here he is, with a handkerchief in his hand which contained chloroform...
