24 La Liga de lo Sobrenatural

"Samantha, honey? Can you come inside now? I need a hand here!" Marielle shouted from the kitchen which snapped Samantha back to reality.

"I'm coming," Samantha answered back. She quickly ran back inside to house to help her mom on the kitchen.

"So did her mom agree?" asked Jake to Caleb.

"Yeah, she was pretty nice," Caleb answered.

"But hold on, you just said that Samantha is a white wolf right?" Klay suddenly spoke, "You do know what that means," he said.

"We can protect her from the hunter but not from our parents Caleb," Ravelo said.

Within the world of the supernatural, to keep the balance and peace among every supernatural being, a council was made which was called La Liga de lo Sobrenatural. They are the people who set the rules of the supernatural world to prevent chaos between the humans and them.

Caleb's, Jake's, Klay's and Ravelo and Raviel's adoptive parents are all part of the council.

If our parents finds out about Samantha, they will kill her," Ravelo said.

In order to keep the balance of their world, they have decided to kill each and every supernatural being that had elemental abilities, the white wolves included. They see them as a threat for they have stronger powers than them.

They worry that these powers will be used to create chaos.

The White Vampires, White Werewolves and the Holy Hunters, good or bad, all of them have to be killed for the council.

The White Vampires and the Holy Hunters are just like the White Werewolves, they also possess one of the elemental abilities.

These creatures were all made by the Lords of their own kind in the same reason of spreading righteousness and peace. Due to the Law of the Gods, the Lords of each kind cannot interfere with the problems of the human and supernatural world. Lycaon and the other Lords came up with the idea of creating the special creatures to maintain the tranquility of the world.

But the council didn't see them as peace makers but pioneers of madness. They preferred to handle peace themselves.

"What do we do now? The council will know this eventually," said Klay.

"Oh right! The hunter! What if he was sent by the council?" Jake suddenly exclaimed.

"Right!" Klay, Ravelo and Raviel said in unison.

Caleb stayed quiet for a few seconds to think. His hands were placed at the back of his neck, trying to figure something out.

Earlier, when Marielle told him about Samantha's true identity, he immediately became uneasy. The thought of the hunter immediately entered his mind the moment Samantha's mother spoke about her being the white wolf.

"I'm going to figure something out," Caleb responded.

Although one solution was on his mind, he didn't take it as an option. He knew that he was being selfish for this, but he didn't want to speak of it.

One way for them to escape the council is to escape, but Caleb didn't want to be away from Samantha. Not now that his feelings for her have grown deeper.

"What if we speak to Samantha's mother? She'll figure something out for sure," Jake suggested.

"Yeah, they have been escaping the council for a long time now. I guess that she knows what to do," Ravelo said.

Caleb remained silent once again.

Can he really risk Samantha's safety over his desires?

Raviel noticed Caleb's expression immediately. He placed his hand on Caleb's shoulder, "You know you can't be selfish Caleb. Samantha's safety is what we're talking about here," Raviel said.

Caleb heaved a heavy sigh, "I know man, but it's just…" he covered his face using his hands due to frustration.

"You know that we can't protect her from the council Caleb. I mean, we're just a pack of teenage werewolves. We're strong, sure, but the higher ups are stronger than us! We can get killed within minutes if we try to fight them," Jake said.

"Man you know we're with you on this, but we can't face the council. Maybe we can get a shot if Samantha knew about her powers and stuff but she's not yet 18 Caleb. We can't do anything for now," Klay said.

"Give me 2 weeks, just 2 weeks guys. I'll talk to her mom after that," Caleb said, "Go grab the tents now, Samantha's mom is going to cook dinner for us," he added then stood up to grab some stuff that they might need.

"Mom I don't understand why you have to invite those guys to dinner! I mean, what did Caleb even talk to you about?" Samantha asked her mom while she placed the lasagne inside the oven.

"Honey, you know, there are some things that you don't need to know. It's called 'privacy' and what we talked about is private okay?" Marielle tapped the tip of the nose of Samantha and continued what she was doing.

Samantha let out a groan, "Don't you consider me as your daughter anymore mom? Are we keeping secrets from each other now?" she asked.

"Honey you know making me feel guilty won't work right?" her mom said and smiled at her playfully.

"Ugh fine! Whatever," Samantha left the kitchen with heavy steps.

"I love you honey!" her mom shouted from the kitchen.

Samantha threw herself on the couch and grabbed the remote to watch the television, but as soon as she pressed the power button, the door of their house opened which made her jump in shock.

"Don't you know how to knock!?" Samantha scolded them.

Yo!" - Ravelo

"Good evening Sam!" – Klay

"What's up?" – Jake

"Lookin good Sam." – Raviel

"Boys! I finally get to meet all of you!" Marielle rushed out of the kitchen as soon as she heard voices from the living room.

"Thanks for having us Auntie," Caleb said.

"It's no biggie. I should be the one thanking all of you," Marielle said, "Dinner is nearly ready, why don't you guys watch the television first and I'll call you guys after it's ready?"

"That'd be great," Caleb smiled.

As soon as Marielle left, the boys sat on the couch comfortably but Samantha shot them a death glare.

"I don't know what you guys are plotting here again, but I'm telling you, I'm going to find out soon," she said in gritted teeth.
