89 Epilogue

He invited us inside, and the girl was busy setting our dinner on the table. She grew even happier when she saw me and I hugged her tight. I gave her a rather large package that Arthur had begged me to get for her, and she was pleased by it. She greeted the others when they came in and soon dinner was served.

George remarked how difficult it must have been for Zephyr to raise a mute girl all on his own, but he says that she's a big help around the house and field. I asked him if he had given her name any thought, and he stared at her for a little while before saying that she reminded him of someone he couldn't remember. He said that she looked like her name could be Aaliyah, and so it was.

Aaliyah loved the name, and expressed her happiness through a large embrace, and before I knew it, she was giving everyone hugs. Nathaniel asked if he still couldn't remember anything, and he said that he could recognise names, but he doesn't remember who they belong to. Leonardo mentioned how brave he was when he managed to corner Paul and drain his energy, so that he could be captured.

Zephyr then reached and touched his head and said that he's just lucky that I found him and helped him out so much. I replied that Kevin had asked me to take care of his lover while he was gone, and Zephyr then began crying out of nowhere as he held his head. I worriedly reached over and asked him what was wrong, and he said that he remembered.

I carefully asked him what he remembered, and he said "Why you help me." I put my hand on my sword as a I asked him why, and he said that we were siblings. Everyone else was confused, and I confirmed it. Turns out that he only remembered Aaliyah being our mother and Kevin. I told him that I didn't want to spring it on him, but he was more excited than upset.

He held me in his arms for a while until he got dizzy again and fell over. I caught before he could hurt himself, and George and Leonardo took him to bed. I went into the kitchen and helped Aaliyah with the dishes. Aaliyah kept on glancing at me, and I said that I wasn't happy taking the easy way out, but this way saved more lives. She nuzzled me and I mentioned how only me, her, and Arthur know the truth so it would be fine.

A little while later, we brought out tea and cake for George and Leonardo who were sitting at the table. I finally noticed that Nathaniel was missing, and George said that he was picking flowers behind the house, so I went to find him. He was standing in the field, staring up at the stars, and looked a little depressed.

I jokingly said "Not you, too." to get his attention, and he apologized for having feelings. I walked over to him and we talked about how fast time flies. His coronation was in a month, how Donatello will walk him down the aisle, and not his father. He felt like his parents died only a few months prior. Nathaniel told me how losing his parents made him never want to take anything for granted anymore.

I turned to him to comfort him, and I found him on one knee with a ring out. He said, "I don't want to take anything or anyone for granted anymore. I love you and I want to marry you." I said yes, and I didn't think twice about it either. He put the ring on me and picked me up as he kissed me, and it was pretty romantic. If I do say so myself. As we were walking back to the house, I asked him what took him so long to ask.

He turned to me and was a little confused as to how I knew that he was planning to propose. He mentions how he started courting me only two months prior, and how he was going a bit fast too. I laughed a bit at his confusion before telling him that it was my gift, but this is just a story. Right?
