17 Cold Ruthless Humans.

Later in the day, at the Old city guard house, more then fifty Old city guards, and about seven garrison members along with the head of the guards gathered in a large room. Before them was a table where Isabella sat with two young girls flanking her. To the left of the blond beauty stood a short but surprisingly well developed young teen with brown hair in two short braids. To the right a hooded mysterious woman who's robe hid her face but couldn't hide her graceful figure.

The guard captain approached the table glancing at the girl to the left, his eyes glancing at the gods stone she wore, or her chest, and announced. "The evening guards are here and they all have selected an item."

Isabella nodded to him, "Good work, bring forward their items one at a time and we'll check for their safety."

The captain and his men seemed uneasy. The garrison members stood to the side looking relaxed with their rifles hanging on their backs looking at ease.

The first guard came up and layed a large key on the table.

Lissa placed her hand over it and then glanced up, "Your assignment will be safe tonight."

He seemed greatly relieved, taking his Item and returning to the ranks.

Several more Old city guards came forward and she relieved all their worries.

One guardsman became worried when Lissa seemed concerned for a moment, Lissa turned to the captain of the guard. "Send an extra guard with him tonight, they will have to deal with a belligerent drunk from a bar, together they'll be able to handle things."

The captain nodded calling out a different name and Instructing him to share the route with the previous soldier.

Several more guards came forward and found they would have problem free assignments.

Then one burly looking man came forward his face full of contempt he put a bracelet on the table.

For a moment Lissa just stared at the bracelet on the table as the color drained from her face.

At first her voice was just a whisper, "You filthy beast." Then rose to practically a scream,

"YOU'RE WORSE THEN A DEMON!!!!" Lissa collapsed against Isabella hanging onto her arm for dear life tears streaming down her face. "YOU HAVE TO KILL HIM!! YOU HAVE TO!!!"

The burly man took a step back a trace of concern on his face.

The men of the garrison drew their rifles and aimed them at the guard.

The captain of the guard called out. "Wait! Rattan? What have you done now?"

"I ain't done nothing, this stupid witch is crazy!" Rattan said

Isabella looked at him coldly, "What has he done before?"

Rattan stepped back and several Old city guards surrounded him drawing their own swords and glaring at the garrison guards.

None of the ones around him had had their routes appraised yet.

"Wait! don't shoot the bullets will hit those who've done nothing!" Lissa shouted to the garrison members.

A pleased expression spread on Rattans face, his lackeys sneered at the garrison guards who had been roughly drilling them for the past few months.

The Captain of the Old guards sighed and turned to Isabella. "Rattan was a priest who helped during the invasion, his parties with his slave girls are well known, but he's a pretty good Old city guard."

A gravely voice was heard, that pierced the silence like a sword dragging on street cobble.

"Oh Good. Lets have a party now!" Pear pulled off her hood and stared at the group of men.

Pear's face was very attractive matching her stunning body curves, but the patched grey hair, eyes, and her terrifying scowl made her seem like a ghost seeking Vengeance.

Lissa still hanging onto Isabella snatched Isabella's hands off the table.

"Pear! use the table to crush them! Then the guard at his right!"

Rattan and his men looked at Pear with contempt certain they had the upper hand here.

So their minds could not comprehend the sight of the girl snatching up the table with one hand as if it was loaf of bread then shattering it over their heads faster than they could blink.

Most of them including Rattan collapsed from the head trauma, at once the guard to rattan's right moved to slash with his sword but the jagged remains of the table in her hands swung at his unprotected face sending it to hit the wall like an overripe tomato. The headless guard's perfectly unharmed armored body fell to the floor in an avalanche.

The rest of the old guard stared stunned at the painted wall.

Lissa Whispered into Isabella's Ear. "Please.. finish them!"

Isabella looked at the stunned garrison, "Garrison! finish them at close range!"

The garrison's men rushed over to the groaning men on the ground, and fired down at their heads and bodies.

A few moments after peoples ears stopped ringing Lissa spoke again.

"There are at least five women in Rattans house that need to be brought to the cloister, One of them is a missing orphan named Tara."

The captain of the Old city guard had a face covered in sweat, He called out four names to quickly break into Rattan's house and rescue the girls to the cloister.

While a few guards dragged off the corpses, two others had thoughtfully brought another table.

Lissa finally released Isabella and returned to standing next to her. Isabella returned her hands to the table as if nothing had happened. "Next? " she said her voice serene. But inside she was full of pride for her girls.
