Leaving the dining room behind, I navigated through the labyrinthine corridors of Marceline's home with ease and speed, a skill honed from the numerous tours Marceline and her dad had given me over the years. Eventually, I reached the room I sought—a pair of imposing double doors. I paused to knock respectfully before pushing them open and stepping inside.

"Ah, Brook! I sensed someone enter the Nightosphere. It's good to see you, how are you? but guessing from your injuries not the best" Abadeer greeted warmly from behind his desk in his office, the crackling fire in the fireplace casting flickering shadows across the room Abadeer's sharp teeth poked out slightly as he smiled, adding a touch of eeriness to his already unsettling appearance. Nonetheless, I remained unfazed as I approached him, ready to make my request.

*Abadeer, I plan to stay here for the next few months, so please give me all the extermination missions you can,* I declared firmly. My words seemed to catch Abadeer off guard, but without asking questions, he swiftly gathered dozens of papers and handed them to me as he spoke.

"I placed them in order of which ones I will soon go complete myself. Hurry and get them done, then return back here, and I will reward you like last time," Abadeer explained. I nodded eagerly, already feeling a sense of anticipation for the reward. Last time, he had shown me how to create a summoning circle, enabling anyone I allowed or knew to summon me by drawing the symbol and sacrificing some blood. With a sense of determination, I turned around and swiftly left, eager to complete the missions assigned to me.

The first extermination took four days, as I was tasked with eliminating a nest of crystalline spiders capable of shooting lasers. Surprisingly, despite my injuries, the task proved relatively straightforward. Fortunately, signs of healing were evident as my missing parts began to regenerate. After completing the job, I noticed my ribs had grown back, along with half of my arms and a portion of my skull, which was missing.

The next mission only took a day, but it was grueling. I had to face off against a giant, skinless bird towering at a horrifying 40 meters. Despite its imposing size, I managed to dispatch it swiftly, earning decent experience. It wasn't as much as the colony of spiders, but I knew every bit of experience counted. With my skull now fully healed and only needing to regenerate my arm's fingers, I wasted no time and moved on to my next assignment.

Four missions later, I found myself closing in on a level up, needing only 80k exp. However, I soon discovered that the next few assignments wouldn't be as straightforward. Unlike the beasts I had previously faced, I now had to contend with the unruly residents of the Nightosphere. Despite their chaotic nature, they were cunning and intelligent beyond belief, presenting a new and challenging obstacle.

The missions were essentially bounties, but locating the target proved to be nearly impossible, as they always relied on sending their minions instead. However, loyalty in the Nightosphere had its limits, and after a bit of interrogation with the weaker minions, I managed to extract the information I needed and swiftly eliminated the targets. It took two of these challenging jobs to earn my first level. With the end of the first month approaching, I established a rhythm for the next six months, gaining levels at a rapid pace. Occasionally, Marceline joined me, wielding her axe skillfully, although it often turned into more of a babysitting task than actual combat.
