Chapter 13: massacre

Finding a Skaven patrol wasn't that hard or should I say hunting party. The group was similar to the one I followed to the museum a while back and all were equipped with spears and armor something I feel will soon prove useless.

But first I wanted to test my [Scrutinize: Lv1]

This seemed to be the typical status of the rats in the group of 15 Skaven, which I greatly appreciated. Without wasting any time, I launched my attack using my newly acquired skill.

'[Frost Strike: Lv1]'

With just a simple motion, a cold mist-like energy enveloped my hand as I struck one of the Skaven from behind. The blow immediately shattered through its armor, my fist piercing cleanly through its back and causing blood to splatter upon its comrades in front. Simultaneously, everything around the point of impact froze instantly, while the body of the Ratman went stiff.

'Wow, that's a surprise,' I muttered to myself, acknowledging the extent of my newfound strength. Using it against an enemy truly put things into perspective. However, I didn't allow myself to dwell on that revelation for long. Without hesitation, I raised my arm and lifted the corpse of the Skaven. In one fluid motion, I hurled the body towards the nearest Skaven, prompting the group to snap into action as they moved to attack me.

Sadly for the Skaven, they were overwhelmingly outmatched. With minimal effort, I dodged their stabbing attacks, performing acrobatic feats that would be impossible for a normal human. However, I wasn't human, a fact that became increasingly evident as I allowed a spear to stab through my hollow rib cage. Seizing this opportunity, I closed in on a Skaven attempting to flee, panic evident in its eyes. Ignoring its struggles, I grabbed its snout and immediately activated [Frost Strike: Lv1]. A layer of ice formed over the Skaven's mouth as I tightened my grip, then swung the unfortunate creature into two quickly approaching Skaven. The resulting crunch was satisfying as the two struck Skaven were sent flying, while the one in my grasp now had a broken neck.

'9 left' Thats was the last thought as I had as I looked at the shivering bunch of skaven, It was at this point that A weird feeling rose in my chest. a sadistic glee at there fear, the fear of the living but I could not relish this moment as I quickly noticed they were preparing to run something I would not allow as I moved with a sharp and focused gate delivering kicks to some as I found punching the skaven with there short stature was kinda of inconvient.

Sadly for the Skaven, their fate was sealed. Not even a minute later, I stood over the last remaining Skaven, its armor tougher than the others but ultimately futile against me. With a stomp or two, I ended its life as well.

'That was fun,' I thought to myself, wasting no time as I immediately set out to find another group of Skaven to repeat the process, I not noticing the shift in my personality at this time.
