1 Chapter 1

"Until you stop crying, I will not stop crying."

A male voice in deep affection, instilling emotions.

He kills mercilessly, smokes carelessly and dates heartlessly. This is how he has lived his life until when a natural warrior called love penetrated his locked heart doors.

"Yes, I accept whatever the society nicknames me I don't care," he says in deep heart pain. "What matters to me now is how you in particular make me get down on my knees and say, please!" infront of a closed door he yells, "you, if you really hear me I mean, only you redeems my inner mind to realize that I am just a normal human being with nothing at all in this short life if I don't have you." "It is relief to me that I made a conscious decision of marrying you" contentedly he laughs on saying, " some action I will never regret." "You have seen me doing thing without considering my status, a status you have come to discover now" he says with emphasis, "I've never ever expected to do."

"Hope it is satisfying enough to see a person of my caliber breaking rules because I fall in love." Skipping a bit on a sigh he continues to say, "I am ready to go to war with myself, break more rules, just to make sure you are physically and emotionally in paradise."

"Maybe all these words can prove why I kept lying to you even after all the convincing promises I made to myself," in a very affectionate voice he cries, "I love you so much Lala."

As tears sweep off her eyes' make up while rolling down, sniffing and whipping her face like a two years old baby, in a course of listening to each and every statement of love the husband has made infront of a closed door outside her apartment on the second floor, "I am just an ordinary poor orphan," Lala screams, opening the door. "Can you please leave?!" Asking in a caring but confounded voice.

Looking at each other with passionate eyes for almost a minute without a word coming out of their mouths except their breathe and tears, "I am just a button on any of your favorite reaped jeans, fully controlled by the love I have for you Lala" he says, "don't leave me hanging, Please!"

The breathe of tension coming from him on a seriously sorry handsome face, she finds herself blinded in the moment and all the negatives washed off her thoughts.

He slowly lifts up his hand to touch her chin, draws his face closer to a zero distance with hers and softly pokes her lips with his lips three times in a row.

Lala gets carried away by the magic in the moment. In her eyes it is obvious she deeply loves her husband no matter the issues at hand. Besides, his is a very handsome good looking young man.

Lala drowns. She steps closest and crosses her hands around his neck fueling the moment. Their lips play for almost one full minute, forgetting she is one and a half steps outside her apartment in a corridor.

"I don't want to loose my new family," Lala says sorrowfully facing down and taking a step back wards after sharing a moment. "You know that I can give you a life beyond your imagination," he speaks confidently trying to fatch her hand back. "You don't understand," she worriedly responds pushing his hand off her arm.

"Your initial fiancée is a kind woman" she compliments dodo, "an angel above all angels." "A Virgin Mary if I may relate we both know this," complimenting more laughing jealously. "You know how much she loves you with all her million eggs entrusted in one basket and she has proved it beyond reasonable doubt," she enlightens.

"Come-on" he tries to cut her statements off, "you worry too much."

"You've really put me in a very delicate situation Mr Yang, sorry 'Don' thats your name," she says nodding her head. "Betraying sister Dodo is equal to hanging my beloved, don't you see?!" on a scream she asks. "I am just a low life sinner who steals from others" Lala crying out loud, she blames it all on herself, "am a disaster."

"She has done a lot for me and my young brother" she starts to narrate sorrowfully, "I was looking miserable, lousy and dirty that night on that bridge without destination, No job and neither did I have a roof over my head. Just a wandering stray dog on streets." Putting the lower lip between the teeth, nodding the head in grief, Lala busts in tears on remembering her life at its lowest peak. Don closes the space and puts her head into his chest with his palm. "Am so sorry," he says in a comforting voice.

"It happened for seven good years that is from when I was thirteen," whipping, she further more says spacing herself out of his chest."Was Dodo, a person I didn't know, who reversing the car after noticing through the driving mirrior that someone actually needed help." "She picked my poor life off those cold streets late that night. " Lala says, " and told her I was sterving." "Like a prisoner who has lost his way into the desert after a prison break if you may relate, that is how," she adds sniffing her nose. "My voice couldn't even come out properly. She took off her expensive gown and covered me. I was dead shivering. Dodo put me inside her expensive car and drove her fuel upto a five star hotel that late night" explaining on sighs. "I ate the whole hotel," she jokes on a smile. "I mean Dodo paid for everything that crossed her mind in my favour. I ate a very good meal and slept in a very warm bed for three nights. She did it for a stranger she knew nothing about," Lala narrates more to him.

"The third morning, I heard a knock on my hotel room" narrating further, "quickly I got the door." "On this beautiful kind lady I landed my eyes. She was my age mate on noticing, with a smile centered with care all over her face. She wondered how I was doing as she slowly entered inside. A very beautiful elegant woman continued her way inside as I respectfully closed the door behind her but even couldn't look at her straight in the face. She sat on the sofa and then asked me not to worry, assuring me that everything was going to be okay after a short conversation we shared," sighs Lala.

"This apartment where I stay" Lala continues to say, "she got it for me and my young brother." "She settled a full year of rent with her own money as if it wasn't enough, she brought my young brother back to me. Jack was in the ophanage where he was kept after separating us six years ago," she sorrowfully explains this.

"Truth be told, I am in light because of Dodo's kindness," She exclaims delightedly but pityful in expression.

"The family needed someone to look after mother, following her discharge from the hospital as you know," she says, "this is how I started appearing at the mansion and got a loving family." Don's attention is beyond reasonable doubt. "Dodo asked me if I can take this job opportunity which I excitedly accepted with no hesitation" she continues speaking, "she gave me a job." "I got a destination every single day of my life, a home and a job Don!" she busts loud mentioning his name. "Am not different from a monster if I can eat my master," cries Lala.

Holding her two hands with comfort, Don comes up with a touching story about that one evening his bodyguards entered inside the mansion for a feast. "That night of the lanterns!" Lala seems to acknowledge as she wonders. Am happy you can remember, " he smiles then takes a deep breath. "Standing at the living room balcony at nine pm that night" he narrates calmly and romantically, "the sky was filled with very beautiful bright stars, the breeze was so fresh, holding a glass of whisky in my left hand, I turned my head," he poses a bit impacting more curiosity in Lala's conscious. "Looking behind over my shoulder on hearing loud ," wow!, passionately he says, "the movement of her lips going through those lines from the book she was reading for her, how she arranged her own hair backwards every moment it fell out of position with just one finger, and the prettiest smile which was raining from the prettiest face on earth." Lala," he mentions, "your compose and gesture from that moment on washed away the CEO, Mafia and Billionaire elements which existed inside me." He says, "I was born again." Lala gives a smile of excitement. "I will take that as a compliment, she says.

Straight into her glowing eyes, "Nothing will ever stop my love for you Lala," he speaks.

Speechless and confounded like a trapped rat, Lala releases herself off his hands and lifts her arm to read a watch. "It is 20 minutes to midday, you know I have to be at the mansion for mother," she talks in panic pretence, walking slowly with back steps inside her apartment. She goes on with a shy smile and slowly she closes the door infront of him.

30 minutes later, Lala walks down the stairs in a rush towards the packing lot, ready to catch up with 'Jiang', her taxi driver who is waiting as usual to drops her at the mansion where she conducts her duties every afternoon.

Two steps away to complete the stairs down towards the park rot, surprisingly in a distance is Cobra on the left hand side and Python on the right hand side of this dark, long wheel base executive monster ride known as a phantom of the famous Rolls-Royce. Both huge men fitted in black suits and their eyes locked behind dark shades. Lala recognises the car and these two marked dangerous men with a reputation of being merciless killing machines, remembering to have seen them at the mansion on security of a well-known Mafia, 'Don'.

Lala continues walking towards in confidence putting aside the worry. As she approaches, Python opens the rear suicide door of the phantom where he is standing. "Boss has been waiting for you miss," he says in a very deep voice stretching his hand to direct her inside in a cooperate way.

"Am not going anywhere with you" says Lala immediately she sits inside the luxurious beautiful ride,"you know it is not a good idea." She takes off her shades making sure he notices the seriousness written on her eyes.

"GGRrrrrrrrr GGRrrrrrrrr" Lala's phone vibrates, displaying 'Jiang calling' on the her android screen. "The cab driver is calling me" she says, "Just opposite in that blue cab, I need to get going."

A glass of champagne in his hands, leaning his back together with the head and posing comfortably on a white cushion while crossing his legs in a wide leg space of the rear seat, Don raises and grabs Lala's hand. turns his head to look at her and he smiles. With just a click of fingers, the suicide door on Lala's side closes and locks automatically. The car starts to roll out of the parking lot, briefly onto the main road followed by a Cadillac Escalade and takes off with Lala inside.

Mother in her wheel chair, sitting next to an open window inside her room up on the third floor to the right wing of the mansion, holding a yellow hard cover book in a hand on her laps and another hand supporting her lower jaw from one side and reading calmly as it is her hobby, she notices her son In-law's convoy approaching from a distance towards the mansion when the wind blows on the light white cloth curtain from her beautiful aerial view through the window. She moves her hand off the jaw, using it with the other hand to cover the book off her laps and puts the it on the lower table next to her. Slowly she combines efforts to push her wheelchair, drawing it closer to the window to have a more clear view as the in-law's convoy approaches.

Bodyguards jumping out of the Cadillac Escalade from both sides quickly as a routine. Mother is watching, waiting to see her in-law coming out but he doesn't for a full minute. A door opens afterwards and for more fifteen seconds, still no one is coming out. Mother becomes anxiously more curious. "Lala" she wonders on a folded face. It is true Lala is the person she notices standing out of her son In-law's car.

Quickly as Lala walks to the main entrance of the house, Rolls-Royce door closes, Cobra and Python jump in the escort and the convoy departs. Mother has not even set her eyes on the expected in-law Don.

Walking up the stairs in a hurry is Lala with her red hand bag, dressed in a pure white top blouse, full grey skirt and red high hills for shoes, simply a very beautiful young woman.

knocking as she opens mother's bedroom door, "Good afternoon mom," she greets. "What was that all about?" Angry mother in a wheelchair chair asks toughy. Silenced in guilt, Lala senses trouble boiling her way.

"Mom, it's not what you think," she politely answers worriedly. "Do you think am a fool?" questions annoyed mother. "Loosing my back didn't mean I lost my brains too!" She explodes more rudely at her. "He has never allowed anyone to sit in his car" looking straight into Lala's face mother states, "everyone know this." "If am not mistaken, his fiancée Dodo has never at one time sat in his car," she gives a shameful laugh on a fading rude tone.

"Mom" Lala mentions her title in a worried voice, "am sorry for not being careful." Infront of a worried looking mother, Lala kneels an holds on her hand. "I....I... I was waiting for a taxi by the roadside, his car stopped on me and I had no choice, that's is why....." "I won't be this careless again mom," she pleads stuttering in fear on her statements.

Intelligent mother notices poor Lala doesn't know how to lie.

"Stop lying! Lala," calmly mother asks, "listen to me Lala." Mother draws the wheelchair more closer to her and says, "you're naturally a very beautiful young woman, so attractive in every single type of way. It is very hard for a man of any kind to resist your physical powers". Worried about the future, mother compliments her.

"Don is my son. I raised him from the age of 11" she narrates, "he has grown up into a vibrant handsome young man." "He is wealthy, good looking and respected as you can also see," she says. "No woman can risk a chance of having him by her side when it is given," as a grown up mother visualise ahead.

Turning the wheelchair and pushing it towards the window, she looks through far beyond. "His mother died after giving birth to him in the hospital," going back in memories, mother begins to narrate. "His father was the leader of the famous cult from the EastCoast which was known as 'The Sixth Figure'. He was Billionaire who lost his life to intestinal cancer." "On his sick bed" she says, "he asked me and my lovely husband Jemes to take care of his son as our own. Don was only eleven years old by then. He also wished for what he called 'one last important thing', which he really took very serious. He urged us to ensure that his son Don marries our daughter Dodo." Mother says upto now she doesn't know why Don's father badly wished for it.

After giving it a thought, me and my husband agreed on the same decision. Every time we saw Don and Dodo going to school together and playing in compounds, they seemed so much compatible. Besides, Don's father was our childhood dearest friend," narrating these memories, mother gives a sad smiles. "Don became more ruthless than his father as he grew up, especially after inheriting his father's Billion dollar empire at a very young age," mother says, "the road has been tough for him and that is destiny."

"Lala", mother calls as she rotates her wheelchair to face her again. "Please sit down," kindly she asks. Lala takes a seat on an armless chair next to the lower table where mother placed the yellow book. Mother draws the wheelchair closest to her, picks up her hands holding them loosely with care in her two hands, she takes a deep breath and says, "Don and Dodo are engaged." "very soon they are going to be husband and wife. Getting to this point was not an easy task to accomplish," she explains, "Dodo has already been through a lot." "Right now their relationship doesn't need any distractions. Please don't hurt her," sorrowfully mother begs on a worriedly looking face which leaves Lala uncomfortable.

Inside her minds a lot of pending questions flow. "How did I not see this coming?! Why on earth did heavens give me this kind of challenge?! How comes it is this hard to convince my heart to break up with him?!" Tears drop, "What can I do right now that the worst has already happened? Where do I go to hide away from this shame? Who can I talk to for guidance?" All these questions rapidly flow within her minds and tears drop out of her eyes seated infront of Dodo's mother.

"Am already married to my best friend's fiancée" deep inside her she speaks, "Darn."
