1 Day 1 at the Canteen:

It was a sunny day when I was just sitting idle in the office canteen waiting to recieve a client. I saw a long face, who is almost 6 feet in height with crew cut well built young man , he wore a light green checks shirt with shirt sleeves rolled up just below the elbow. He was asking the receptionist about meeting that was scheduled, then I realised that he was the client whom I need to recieve. I quickly jumped into the conversation, greeting that handsome hunk 'Hi sir, I'm Aruhi. Welcome to the Qisar space ! He smiled and we shook hands. I have started the conversation in a pleasent voice, please follow me, I'll take you to the conference room. He introduced himself as 'Vihaan' co director of 'Spanx' which is a popular animated company in Germany. His fruity voice grabbed everyone's attention. We slowly walked into the conference room which was surrounded by stained glasses , as sun rays are trying to break through the glass, the optical designs on the glass spread all over the room giving the room a spectacular look. After everyone settled down, Vihaan started his speech which has mesmerised everyone, he explained about his gaming designs how they can attract today's youth which will engage them as well as provide a positive message. Our company delegates were impressed with his concept and signed a deal with him. It appeared to be a destinies design, I was assigned a task to assist him on the new project.

It was 3, in the afternoon by the time we finished our meeting. I showed Vihaan, the entire office and introduced him to all the collegues on the floor. I showed him his personal cabin from where he needs to operate the daily work routines. He was a very talkative person, in a single day he managed to gel up with all his project team mates Srikanth, Prathim and Sruthi. After the formal introductions, we all went to canteen for a coffee break.

The canteen was so big enough to accommodate 200 people at a time, the walls of the canteen were painted in black and white checks, even the marble floor designed in white and black checks which looks like we just stepped into a gaint chess board. The ceiling was painted sky blue with cloud effect, there were multiple chandeliers mounted on ceilings. The Chandelier were made of sparkling cut glass emmenced with dazzling blue Crystal's which gave an elegant look to the entire hall. The center one was arranged in zig zag pattern with tiny silver birds hanging to every edge of the Crystal's. It was the master piece of the canteen. The chairs were red and yellow in color. The round tables were decorated with a thin plastic golden sheets with a tiny opaque spiral glass flower vase in the center with a fresh red roses inside it.

We ordered for 5 cappuccino's with wipped cream toping with dark chocolate sauce and some spicy nachos. Out of the entire team, Prathim was the smartest of all and my best friend at office, he topped college in VFX 3D gaming design and awarded as best employee of the quarter. He belong to a rich family, however he decided to do something of his own so he choose to get separated from his family and started living in a double bedroom rented flat in Bandra. As Vihaan was new to Mumbai, Prathim offered Vihaan to stay with him till he finds a best place. While we were exchanging words, we received our order. The cappuccino was decorated with a chocolate sauce on the top in the shape of heart. As we all ran into our personal conversations, Vihaan who was sitting exact opposite to me, looked straight into my eyes, I felt a simple small act of intemacy when he took a sip of coffee it's like he took me. Together we spent the entire afternoon in the Canteen while others were back to their work stations. He loves coffee so much that we finished around 5 cups while getting to know each other. We exchanged phone numbers and after hours of conversation he told me that I'm the first person with whom he felt comfortable with, he opened up himself to me like an open book, about how he started his journey towards his goals. He was raised by a single parent while his parents got separated when he was in his 7th grade of school. He was living with his mother and started working since early teenage where he had to struggle for their daily needs. He explained how he used to teach tutions to the neighborhood kids and saved few bucks for his own education. Later with the help of the scholarship, he went to Germany and finished his higher studies and able to established his own firm. While we were in deep conversation, I got an emergency phone call from my brother and it was almost evening hours near to our logout from office, while I'm in a rush to get home, I asked Prathim to take care of Vihaan and he took him to his flat.

After few hours, around 9pm, my phone rang, I see it's a call from Vihaan. I couldn't believe that he called me up. I quickly attended his call. I answered the call in a low moderate voice, holding on my excitement, Hello Vihaan , how is the new place! Is Prathim taking care of you well?

He replied, Hi Aruhi, hearing my name in his fruity voice made me cold like ice. He continued.. yes, the place is awesome and ya ya Prathim gave me a good hospitality, he is very entertaining. He fumbled over the call, I .. I called you up to ask you if you were alright as you left suddenly today, it worried me. I just wanted to make sure that everything is okay with you.

I was literally surprised that Vihaan was too caring and sweet, I was blushing over the phone which he can't see. I holded on my excitement and replied in a normal voice, yes, yes everything is fine with me. Thank you so much for checking on me, that was so sweet of you.

He continued to ask, what happened at home, I replied, it was my brother's daughter birthday and they have arranged a sudden party at home for 'Krutika'. As the event was suddenly planned, I'm unaware of it and my brother informed me at the nick of the moment, I had to leave on priority. I started describing him about 'Krutika', she is 5years old, an apple of our eye. She won't do anything without me that's how we both are attached.

He replied, oh that's so sweet, Huff [Sighs], I'm so glad that everything was okay with you. We continued talking for hours without checking the time, I see the clock ticking 12:12 in the night and said, so Vihaan, as it's late, I have to go, see you at office tommorow!

He replied, ya ya sure, you have a Good night. See you soon! His voice sounded like he doesn't wanted to hang up the phone, however he had to as I insisted on it.
