3 Magic it’s actually magic!

The summer months in my new body were hard, the heat exhausted it, and if I wasn't careful I'd collapse and be bed ridden again, I wanted to learn more about the world, or enjoy the summer sun, but instead I've been told to stay indoors and move as little as possible to avoid getting sick.

I wanted to scream and tell them that's wrong, and I'll only get weaker if I'm confined with no fresh air, but the me right now is really no match for this heat, it's best if I just rest inside like they've said.

Today is another day of lounging in my rooms drinking iced tea, my hairs been pulled into two high ponytails to get it off my neck so I don't sweat so much and..... IM BORED!

I get that I have to take care of myself but is there really nothing to do in my rooms, all the books are just picture books, pouring the drinks are even done by the maid. I can't take this anymore!

"Sophie if we're careful about our pace, can we please go to the library" I turn to her, as she's under strict instructions to monitor my health by my father, if I made a fuss I'm sure we could go, but I might get sick again so it's just best to ask.

"The library, why does the young miss wish to go there, you have plenty of books right here" she motioned to my bookshelf.

"But those are all picture books, I want books with words."

"You can read young Miss" she looked at me surprised.

"I...I don't know, but if I can't then I can get big brother to teach me." I hadn't thought about not being able to read, since I've had no trouble with words I figured books would be the same.

"Master Levi, should be in magic training right now so it's unlikely he'll be able to teach you." Sophie mused to herself.

"MAGIC TRAINING, I wanna go watch, please please please." I use all the cuteness I can muster to make Sophie give in.

"We have to go outside so you'll need a parasol, and if I decide it's to hot we're coming back inside."

"Yes, ok, let's go, let's go." I grab her hand and pull her from the rooms, my first chance at seeing real magic.

The court yard at the back of the house was reserved for training, it had all sorts of weird things, there was practice dummy's of different sizes and materials, a fountain without water. Logs tied to trees. But my big brother wasn't near any of them, in fact he was sitting in a lotus position on a muddy field with his magic instructor about two feet away from him.

"Concentrate Levi, you're surrounded by earth mana, feel it's flow and bring it into you." As we got closer I could hear his tutor giving instructions.

"Sophie, I think here is close enough if we get any closer we might disturb their practice." From this distance I can clearly see my brother but I won't get dirty from the muddy field.

After a few moments small amounts of mud started lifting into the air and joining to make small orbs, the orbs started spinning round my brothers head and changing shape, into long thick arrows

"Earth needles." Levi shouted as all the arrows stopped moving, they looked like they were about to shoot off into a near by tree... and then they lost all their shape completely falling back to the ground in a sloppy mess, it seems this was a failure.

I clap anyway after all I've never seen magic before.

"Big brothers amazing" I called out to him.

"Madi, what are you doing outside." He looked confused as he came over.

"I wanted to see your magic, it's so cool!" I'm sure my eyes are sparkling right now but it's real magic, how could I not be excited!

"I'm not all that great, I prefer studying the kingdom and laws to studying magic, I can't even execute a low level offensive spell properly yet." He seemed annoyed at himself. As expected of the bookish capture target.

"I think big brother is the coolest, can you do other magic." More show me more.

"Sure leave it to me, Mud wall." And with that a 5 foot tall wall of mud built from the ground, it as about 2 metres long and 30 centimetres thick.

"So cooooolll". I couldn't help myself from shouting.

"Defensive spells are my specialty." He blushed looking embarrassed at all the praise.

"Big brother, teach me magic too, please," I used cuteness overdrive for this one.

"Arh, earth magics Impossible for you Madi." I was denied.

"But why?" I could feel tears forming in my eyes, I really want to learn.

"Don't cry, don't cry, your bodies weak right now, plus you don't even know your element, so you definitely can't sit in cold mud absorbing earth mana." He looked like he wanted to pat me, but stopped himself when he realised he was covered in mud.

"Then how do I find out my element" I look up at him as big crocodile tears start to fall from my eyes.

"Erg, um, I know, my teach will be able to tell you, I'll go ask, but by the time I get back you have to have stopped crying."

He ran off to consult his teacher, and I furtively rubbed my eyes trying to remove the tears.

"So you want to find out your magic element, 4 maybe a bit to young." Tristan Wells, a lower nobles 3rd son and my brothers Magic instructor, at 20 years old he was considered quite the accomplishment Earth mage, and wishes to join the tower of magic when my brother starts the Mandatory Nobel schooling at age 14. With neatly kept brown hair and the same coloured eyes, he gives off a competent teacher vibe.

I nod in answer to his question.

"Discovering an element or Attribute is easy enough, all you have to do is take my hands, I'll pass my mana through to you, which will hopefully react to your mana, awakening it. Different things will happen depending on what your mana is most suited for, the most common are the 4 elements: Fire, Air, Earth, and Water, then by extension there is the 4 attributes: Holy, Lightning, Dark and Light. If your mana is suited for 1 of the first four nature will react.

Fire - we'll all feel hotter.

Air - the wind will pick up suddenly.

Earth - the solid ground beneath us will become boggy.

Water - the humidity surrounding us will increase ten folds.

Are you able to understand." He asked after explaining. I nodded again to show that I did.

"What about the other 4" since I'm a Villainess it's unlikely that I'll get a rare attribute, I don't remember the game Madison ever using magic to bully people either, but I'm still curious.

"If you mana is suited for attribute magic the aura surrounding you will change.

Holy - a light golden glow.

Lightning- it will crackle with electricity.

Darkness - it will become pitch black.

Light - it will become blindingly bright.

Are you ready to give it a try?" He held out both hands and I took them without hesitation. I started to feel a warm sensation travel from my palms up my body and into my chest were it swirled around prodding and poking, then another, warmer sensation seemed to wake up and mingle with it, it felt really comfortable.

"Oh congratulations Young Miss, it seem your Mana is most suited for the Holy Attribute." Sophie exclaimed, and looking at my aura a brilliant gold shine was forming around me.

A Villainess with Holy magic, what kind of game design is this developers, you were definitely laughing when you gave her this power.... but I'm so happy!
