7 Ji, who is this?

Jian had just finished talking to Miss Louras, she was grateful for the money inside the envelope. She just walked outside the office and looked at Johnny to see that he was still there.

Jian sighed and said, "Thanks for staying outside. I'm going now." She walked away towards the elevator while taking out her phone. She quickly called her mother and as soon as her mother answered Jian said, "Hey Mom, I will be a little late to the cafe. Are you ok, Mom?"

Jian was getting worried but then she heard her mother saying, "It's fine hun, anyways I am going to be at the cafe soon so I will wait for you." After hearing that her mom was fine she felt better and less worried.

"Alright bye, Mom." Jian hung up and entered the elevator. Johnny followed after her and asked, "Are you going somewhere? Do you want a lift?" Jian sighed, and said, "Johnny right. Johnny, why are you following me? Also, it sounds weird when you say that."

"I don't really know why I am following you, but I do know that you are interesting. I didn't mean to sound weird, I am just worried since you were running before and you sounded worried, so at the least let me drop you off in a taxi." Johnny said smiling as he waited for her response.

"Hey, let me get this through to you. It sounds weird to have a person imply to take you home after seeing them twice in your life." Jian sighed as she answered him and added, "I am not going anywhere far. If you want then you can walk with me. If that will help you worry less."

Johnny nodded and said, "It will, also thanks but still why didn't you text me yesterday."

Jian answered his question as they both got off the elevator, "Well that's simple it's because you were a stranger who gave me their number so ya that's weird. Now my turn, How old are you?"

"Wait, we aren't playing 20 questions so what's with the questioning?" Johnny asked as he held the door open for Jian to walk out with him behind her.

"Well, we are now," Jian said smiling as she added, "So how old are you?"

Johnny moved to her side and said, "I am 17. You?"

Jian nodded as she said, "I am 14."

"Okay, so favorite color? Mines Black" Johnny asked and added before Jian could answer.

"Mines red. So favorite hobby. Mines drawing"

"Photography..." The two teens continued to talk to each other until Jian noticed they were in front of the cafe. Jian stopped, smiled, and said, "Well sorry to spoil the fun, but we are here. Wait, Do you want some coffee? It'll be my treat from my first pay." Johnny chuckled and held the door for Jian as they both entered.

"John go on and order something. I will talk to my mother." Jian said she was about to take out some money to give to Johnny but he stopped her saying, "Jiji I am not broke you know. Also, what do you want I will get that and come find you."

Jian smiled and said, "You know what I like just get me that. Thanks." She turned around and walked towards the windows where her mother was sited.

Jian called out to her mom as she sat down, "Mom, how are you?"

"I am good. I don't want to ask, but how was your first day of work?" She asked smiling.

"It's hard, but I had fun when posing. Anyways did you call the apartment manager to ask about what happened at home?"

"Ya, I did. It was just a monthly check-up on the building and the workers forgot to lock the door before they left. Also, who is this?" She asked as she looked at Johnny. Jian followed her gaze and smiled waving towards Johnny to come over.

"Mom, this is Johnny Hoen, he is a friend from work, and Johnny this is my mother, Jessica Kim," Jian said as she pointed to both of them. Johnny put down the food and extended his hands. The two shook hands.

After a few minutes of talking, Jian's mother said, "Well it was nice to meet you, Johnny. Ji, I am going home, but I will be gone soon so don't stay out too late ok. Get home before dark."

"Alright Mom, don't forget to eat something before you leave." Jian smiled as she hugged her mother goodbye.
