1 Arrival

After spending a total of 3 years abroad, Lin Xiu returned home. She slowly walked towards the Mercedes Benz that was patiently waiting for her.

"Welcome Madam" Her chauffeur said as he opened the door for her. Lin Xiu smiled briefly and entered the car. It has been 3 years since she came home and nothing seemed to have changed at all. She looked at all the buildings as she passed them before closing her eyes

At Deluxe headquarters, reporters were flooding in. Last week, Deluxe had announced the coming of their CEO and also the date for the annual Deluxe fashion gala.

Mr Cheng followed by Miss Jane Song and Mr Si were almost blinded by the cameras.

"Settle down everyone and listen attentively" Mr Cheng said as she sat beside Miss Jane Song while sat I the middle.

"The annual Delxue fashion gala will be held on Friday which is two days from now" Mr Si said to the reporters who who focused all their attention on him.

"We have sent all the invitations to the guests and everything is almost ready for the gala" Mr Si continued.

"What about the CEO....is he going to attend the gala?" a reporter asked. Nobody knew the CEO of Delexue. They didn't even know the gender of the CEO because her identity was very confidential.

"Yes.... the CEO will be attending the gala....in fact she just arrived" Miss Jane Song said as she casually threw a hint at the reporters.

"The CEO is a woman?!!.... is she married? "

"Where has she been all these years?"

"Does she have children?...how old is she? " the reporters started clamouring for answers.

"All we can say for now is that she is here and will definitely be attending the gala and when you see her maybe she will answer all your questions....Thank you" Mr Cheng said as the three of them left.

Lin Xiu arrived safely at her mansion in the Golden Gates estate. She was the actual owner of the estate but no body knew.

"Hello Madam" Li Jing, Lin Xiu's assistant greeted. "I have prepared everything for you". Lin Xiu walked into her mansion as Li Jing followed her. It was painted with a dark colour and had less furniture.

"If you want we can change it" Li Jing said unable to read the expression on her boss's face.

"No need.... it's fine" Lin Xiu said sharply and walked over and sat down.

"In case you are hungry I've already...."Li Jing stopped when Lin Xiu cut in.

"Don't worry Li Jing.... I'll befine.... why don't you go home and take the rest of the day off. Besides we will be very busy tomorrow so just go home and rest" Lin Xiu suggested. Li Jing thought about it for a while

"Yes Madam....thank you" Li Jing said and left. Lin Xiu walked towards the bar and took a glass of red wine before going up to her bedroom.
