25 Identity Known

Calcifer stared at Roland wide-eyed.

"That's actually your name? I only guessed it after seeing that you remind me of the Calcifer I read about in a story..."

Calcifer was dumbfounded but he got over the initial shock after hearing that his name was mentioned in a story.

'A story?' it thought to itself 'Are people finally noticing how great I am?'

It smiled and went into a daze completely forgetting about Roland.

As he was about to knock Calcifer out of his daze, a voice boomed into his ear.

"Little Chen Yu"

'Chen Yu?' Roland was shocked after hearing that name.

'Someone knows of my identity?' he didn't know whether or not that was a good thing.

"Little Chen Yu" the voice called out once more.

"Who?" confused, Roland asked.

'I am behind you".

Roland turned around but the only thing in sight was an altar.

"The altar?" he questioned.

"Yes, come forward".

Roland was stunned for a moment but it went as quick as it came.

'I transmigrated as a prince, met a horny priest, met a witch, saw the priest go down on the witch, got my behind wrecked by tentacles (almost), met a demi-god, a fictional character, and now a talking altar. Totally normal'

As he stood before the altar he spotted several ancient symbols lined around it as though a seal.

"Stop looking at me like that. I feel violated".

Roland's eyes bulged out upon hearing the altar's remark.

'You're just a piece of rock. What's there to feel violated about?'

He felt wronged.

"So little Chen, a lot has transpired since you transmigrated. Things that people from your time would deem as fictional....."

Hearing the altar's words, Roland's ears perked up.

'Am I finally getting the answers I need?'

"I know that you need answers and you're going to get them"

The ground shook causing Roland to lose his balance and stumble.

'Woah! What's happening?'

He looked towards the altar and saw an opening appear in the center of it.

"Place the book in there".

'Book? What book?' he thought to himself before it clicked.

He reached into his close and removed the book that he had in his possession.

'Trafford's Trading Club'

He placed the book into the opening and to his surprise; it had fit into the space as though it was made for it.

Another tremor occurred and the book lit up.

"Take it up"

Roland went forward and took up the book and analysed it.

'It looks no different than when I had put it down'

"Open it"

He placed his hand on the cover and flipped it over.

His eyes lit up.
