12 Chapter 12: Night

Kaida's pov.

I sighed and just washed myself off, I then looked at the scars from what happened and frowned, "So this is what I get for praising the kingdom and calling it my home...?" I asked myself and walked back to land and got myself dried off, "This'll be a long night..." I said to myself and dried my tail off and wore my pants. I perked up hearing some sticks break, "Who's there!" I exclaimed while covering myself with my shirt, "W-Wait! I-Its just me!" A voice said. I growled having my guard up high but it was just Raven, I sighed and turned around as my face started to turn red, "A-Are you spying on me...While bathing...?" I asked her.

She blushed at my question and started to stutter saying, "U-Uh...What?! No! W-Why would I? Pfft, I w-would n-never do that!". I cleared my throat, "Then why are you here?" I asked her, "I-I was just looking for something to eat...l-like uhh a-a m-mushroom!" She said nervously and picked one up and shoved it in her mouth like she was in a hurry, "Uhh that's not good to eat..." I shared as the mushroom was the one we call an 'Alette-shroom' meaning truth-shroom. I snickered and turned my back behind her so I can get myself fully dressed, I turned back around and she was starting to get the effects, "Rainbow letters!" She said with an intoxicated tone. I giggled and caught her hand before she fell on her back.

I blushed a little bit and placed her arm over my shoulder so I can help her walk back to camp, "C-Come on...Let's head back..." I said and she flung herself a little bit backward and her wings appeared but she seemed drunk and out of control from the mushroom, "Y'know I drink milk and go CRAW CRAW when I'm bored alone at home!" She said like she was drunk. I snickered and laughed out loud and she passes out on the ground, "Alright alright enough fun! Let's get you back to camp before you hurt yourself you big bird!" I said and picked her up and walked back to camp.

I looked at her while walking back, 'Wow...She's very pretty...' I said to myself. I shook my head and just focused on tending to her. We arrived back at the camp, "Woah! Is she okay? What happened?" Jason asked me, "Oh, she just ate a bad mushroom." I informed him and laid her down in my little tent for the night. Since I was raised as a farm girl I knew how to tend to this type of situation. I sighed and sat down next to her, "Jees, be careful." I said to her while cleaning her up since she fell to the ground earlier. While I was cleaning her up, She turned her head to me and groaned silently, "Mmrh..." She groaned but I just didn't mind it, "Hm?" I hummed.

Out of nowhere she turned and pulled my shirt to her...and kissed me...I widened my eyes and my face started to heat up, 'W-What the?!' I panicked in my head. She then pulled away and giggled, "I like you..." she whispered before she passed out and just slept. I was frozen in place, "D-Did she just...kiss me?!" I yelled in my head and held my lips, "She just kissed me!" I said in shock while my head was trying to process what happened exactly. I shook my head and looked at her and sighed, "I-Its nothing, Kay...It's nothing..." I said but apart of me is celebrating like heck.

I snickered while holding my head. There it is, My giddy side on the situation. I blushed madly and held my lips again, "W-Well that mushroom does bring out the deepest secrets..." I whispered to myself and sighed shaking my head again, "That's enough, Kay...You have bigger things to think about...like where to live now..." My conscience said to me. I sighed and just laid down next to her with my back turned for the night. But it wasn't such a bad move...A part of me, in fact, is pretty glad she did that. I do not know why.

The next day.

I opened my eyes but it was dark, "Mmm...What in-" I said not seeing a thing, I felt around my face and held something pretty smooth and soft. I lifted it up to see what it was, "Hm...?" I hummed curiously. It was a jet black feather, I tilted my head and looked behind me and saw her all sat up and...topless but her wings were covering most of her back and apparently...half of my body. I sat up in haste, "W-What the heck?!" I panicked and my face turned red again. She tensed and slowly looked back at me. For a few seconds, we locked in eye contact. I've never been so awkward, shocked, and frozen. We both screamed at what we were seeing and boom, "AH! GET OUT!" She exclaimed and accidentally strikes at me causing me to fly out and hit a tree. I was knocked out.

I groaned and slid down to the ground while Jason and Ignatius freeze and stare at me then looked at Raven slowly, "It's six in the morning..." Ignatius said. Jason was just frozen in place and he drops the fish he was eating from shock, "P-Please don't do that to me." He pleaded. Raven had a bright red tint on her face while rushing to cover up. She ran to me, "Kay! Oh my gosh! I-I'm so sorry! I was just grooming my wings and I got startled!" She tried to explain to me. But I was pretty much knocked out cold.

Raven's pov.

I was shocked while I was minding my own business and tending to my wings for the morning when she woke up and startled me. I don't know my own strength apparently...I ran up to her and tapped her cheek, "Hey! Oh jeez I-I'm really sorry I-I just got startled too much!" I said to her but she seemed unresponsive...clearly.

After a few hours. [Five hours to be exact]

Kaida's pov.

I groaned feeling a slight pain in my head while I was trying to get up, "Mm..Ah...Jeez, what the heck my head's killing me..." I complained and sat up and Ignatius was sitting beside me, "Extraordinary...From the impact you took, I was guessing you'd probably be out completely...but you took the hit." He said. I rolled my eyes, "Yeah jee thanks I'm okay thanks for asking." I sarcastically groaned and tried to get up but I winced at the pain by my stomach but I didn't mind it that much. I walked out holding the spot that stung and yawned, "Oh! You're awake! I-I made you some food." Raven said and smiled at me. I smiled back and sat down next to her, "Thanks." I said and ate my food. She made some fried fish and some greens, pretty good for breakfast in the woods eh?

She then sighed, "Hey um...Sorry about earlier and...last night." She apologized. I snickered silently, "Bahh its okay! and..." I paused remembering about last night, "O-oh it's okay..." I said and covered my red face from her. I was embarrassed because I mostly liked it...I just continued on my breakfast. She cleared her throat, "Y-Yeah..I'm guessing you remembered...I-I'm really sorry you must think I'm weird now..." She said and looked away. I sighed and turned to her, "It's okay...Don't worry...I-I kind of feel the same." I shared and smiled with the bright red tint on my face. I confessed to her.

Her eyes lit up and she slightly smiled and lowered her head and just hugged me. I winced and snickered and patted her back, "You know...From the day I met you...which was probably like yesterday...? but i-it's just..." I paused and sighed while trying to compose myself, "I-I...i-it's like..." I paused when she followed with, "Love at first sight...?" She completed my sentence that I couldn't spit out. I blushed madly and covered my face, "Y-Yeah...B-But if it's too soon then I'll wait for you." I said to her while cupping her cheek with a smile.

Little did we know Jason was watching while holding my favorite kind of fish he caught for me but we really didn't know he was there. I then smiled at her and leaned my forehead on her's so show some love, "I-Is this weird?" I asked her, "No. Why would it?" She said with a smile on her pretty face. I was pretty amazed at how brave she was to spill out to me even if we're both girls and how she risked being rejected herself, "You seem comfortable with telling me about you liking me even if we're both the same gender..." I shared. She snickered, "Well...Female, Male, or both why wouldn't I be? I'm proud to be like this you know...It's me and I would never let anyone change that..." She said.

It made me smile brightly at how strong of a person she is, well...both physical and mental...but you get the point.
