3 Lilac [Hetero with former BL]

When he made the decision to be with her, he knew that one day he would see her return to earth. But knowing and accepting are two different things.

Dressed in a black suit, he looked no older than 20 as he watched the funeral procession. A child holds onto his hand as they walked to the cemetery. The child looked at him as he placed a lily atop of her coffin. "Grandfather, Hiyo-chan loves Dandelion."

It comes out as a choked laugh. It is hard to breathe. It hurts to breathe. Grief squeezes his chest and chokes the air out of him. Tears of pain escapes him, gently resting on his eyelashes. Love is painful. The more you love, the harder it is when you lose it.

He wrapped his arms around the child and silently cries into the child's tiny shoulders. "Hiyo-chan say that Grandfather is a crybaby so I have to be your friend." The child's innocent words are causing cracks in the dam and tears just overflows.

He was sitting by the window, ignoring the burn of the sun on his neck and ear. He stares at the man in front of him. "Okaeri nashi. (Welcome back)" Hearing his voice, the man smiled sadly. Because he knows that even though 1000 years have passed, his heart still belongs to her. What he once had with him was something that is never to be.

"Tadaima.(I am back)" The man replied but he did not move from his spot at the door. A brilliant smile was gifted to the man. He is at the end of his life but he was blessed to the chance to see the man one last time. Engraving his image in his mind, he took his last breath.

"A bouquet of lilacs from Grandfather."
