1 "READY? LET'S GO THEN!"

The wild music blasted through the loudspeaker. The red, yellow, green, and blue lights were reflected all around by the hanging mirror ball in the centre.

Everyone was in a wild state of mind. The pool was full of crazy people. Boys and girls, high in their adrenalin drive...all they craved at the moment for was their dosage of dopamine.

They would get it from each other tonight. What came after the night, in the daylight, nobody cared about it.

Her hands involuntarily rubbed her flat belly. Her heart was beating so fast. Parties were never her thing.

The crude eyes staring at her made her want to run away and hide inside the rabbit hole.

But she mustered up her courage and moved forward. So many people...where could she find him?

She looked around from the bottom to the top and then caught a glimpse of him. As usual, hanging out with the Elite group of their school.

What a foolish girl, she was to think she could ever be a part of that group!

Breathing high, she walked past and up to the stairs, moving towards them. He was sitting the other way around, and could not see her.

The laughter that was music to her ears, it now reminded her of the cruel past. It pierced deep through her weeping soul to discover how happy he was when she was suffering in the deepest pit of hell.

Unfortunately, one of them spotted her and signalled him. It happened so quick that she did not get the time to compose herself.

"Look up guys, school's whore is here!"

He said and the rest turned around. She could not go through this again...she knew it but she had to do it one last time...one last time for the sake of their love...if not his for her.

He flipped around and the moment his ocean blue orbs with her brown ones, she could remember why she fell for him...so hard, so fast.

As they had said, how could you not stare into those pair of ocean blue eyes and not get lost in it...

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The noise of the alarm clock resonated around the room. Her hand was quick to tap it shut.

Later, she heard the falling sound and the breaking noise that followed after. She must have pushed the alarm clock out of the nightstand.

"Shit!"

She cursed, her eyes still closed.

"Shit!"

And it made her open them quickly. Right in her face, her smiling daughter was looking at her.

"Emily...how long have you been here?"

She asked, pulling her small body to her. Her five-year-old was one energetic child that always woke up earlier than her and would run to her room, waiting patiently for her mother to wake up.

It was the best way to start her morning...the very first sight being that of her daughter.

"Aiden is up too..."

Emily spoke out, laying under her mother's chest. She tickled her sides and her little giggles erupted out.

"We going to shopping right, mommy?"

Emily questioned. It was Sunday and it was their thing to take her children grocery shopping in the nearby city store.

"Of course...but first you need to brush those teeth of yours and I have to clean your little brother's butt..."

Her mother tapped on her button nose, saying it. Emily rose up, excited and stormed to the bathroom to do exactly what her mother said.

Taking a deep breath, she sat up too. The red, green, yellow and blue light still reflected inside her head but the sunlight in the room made her know that it was just a dream...a reflection of her past...long bygone past.

Before she could ponder more...those blue eyes, her eight-month-old wailed out. She stood out of the bed right away.

"Coming Aiden..."

She voiced out, walking towards the wooden crib to the left corner of the room.

"My baby...your poop cleaner is up, Sir!"

She spoke out in a baby voice and flipped her baby boy around. Cleaning their butts had become a part of her life...those cute small butts.

After changing him into a new diaper and a brand new onesie, she stormed out of the bedroom, holding Aiden in her arms.

"Emily did you finish brushing your teeth??"

She implored, walking to the living room and straight to the kitchen. She dropped Aiden in his baby high chair and then opened the fridge to heat up his bottled milk.

Five minutes later, her daughter appeared and took her place at the dining table.

She had made pancakes with chocolate syrup and bought it up to her. She then picked Aiden up to feed him.

"When will Aiden start doing his own work, mommy?"

Emily intervened, cutting her pancake and trying to eat like an adult. Even though she was failing miserably, her mother did not stop her and let her do it herself.

"He is still too small to eat himself.. He will grow up soon though just like you and eat his own breakfast."

Emily giggled. Aiden was sucking the milk off from the bottle. After feeding her children, she stormed inside the bathroom to get herself ready for the day.

Within ten minutes, she got out. Only a mother would know that you could not spare more than that much amount of time for yourself once you become a mother. Forget about self-care...all you could care for was them.

Dressing in simple denim and a white t-shirt. She let her hair down and thought of applying the lipgloss that she had bought yesterday, staring at her reflection in the mirror.

"You think you are beautiful?"

"You think you deserve me?"

"Did you look at yourself in the mirror for once?"

She dropped the lipgloss on the dressing table. What was the use of trying to be beautiful when you were not?

She came out and saw her daughter and baby ready to head out. She had dressed them before going to the bathroom.

"Ready Em? Let's go shopping then!"
