14 Oh Bella

LIA

Nothing substantial had happened since Alex had shown up or rather since the both of them had suddenly risen from the dead. Other than nosey journalists playing catch with them, nothing needed to be looked out for.

Lia had been having the time of her life, with everything okay between her and Alex and even her and her family. Her siblings had resumed their lives and gone back to their houses. Initially, there was a suggestion of one of the brothers to stay with her, but she wouldn't let them.

If someone had to do that, then nick would stay with her. Still, occasionally since he was the only person Alex knew, besides, if Alex saw Lia with anyone other than Nick, he would grow suspicious. Suspicion was not something they could afford right now.

Jill had gone back to the almanac, and Alex was still her right-hand man.

Lexi was at the company with Ryan as her COO while Mia was at tahina, which jenny worked. There was a chance they had bumped into each other or even had discussions, and those would be dangerous, but jenny played the girl who didn't know anybody.

She and Mia were colleagues; that was the only relationship they had. If anything, she was a chief nurse while Mia was just a surgical doctor. There was nothing that could literally force them in the same room other than board meetings.

Carl had gone back to his parents before going to his house and continued being the Spanish bastard.

As for Lia, she had been moody lately, and Alex couldn't stand it. Despite the tries, the woman wouldn't talk to him and today was another attempt of his to determine what was wrong with her. He had taken her on his lap, and she couldn't help but internally smile at her stubbornness.

She wanted to tell Alex something, but how was she to do that when she was so comfortable being here in his arms? She had missed him, and she wasn't going to lie about it.

She had wanted his attention so bad, and he had been busy all that while, and the only way she would get it was if she tricked her way into it.

"You." She responded to Alex's question, not caring about anything else other than the feeling of being in the arms of the man she loved most.

Alex had promised to kill the person who made her cry, but would he kill himself now that he knew it?

"Me? What did I do baby, tell me," the caveman tried getting her to talk, and she didn't even hesitate?

"you left me here. Always busy with your work, always attending to everyone else but me. You always come home late and leave early. Why can't I even have your time, I barely see you later, and I can't be doing that. I miss you, love, and I just want us to spend more time together," Lia said to him, making herself even more comfortable.

She hadn't lied when she believed her boyfriend gave the best hugs. He was literally the only person who could make everything better. Alex, on the other hand, looked at her like he was missing something.

Was she serious, or was she joking because it was hard to know that with her beautiful pout that called onto him to kiss the senses out of her? This woman was truly his undoing, but he was okay with that.

He was okay with being the only guy for her.

"you could've said something, malyshka…" Alex tried to reason with her.

No wonder everyone else laughed at him for not understanding what was wrong with Lia. Maybe they already knew that she was craving his attention.

Lia was supposed to go back to work, but then she couldn't be anybody's secretary, but at the same time, she couldn't leave the company. The company gave her access to everything she needed.

All the information she needed.

Maybe she would be Ryan's secretary because there was no way she would be Lexi's secretary. That was not only a blow to her ego but also a downgrade. People would peg her for being a gold digger or something, and she didn't want that.

She would ask Alex about it later, but for now, she was focused on milking her agony until she couldn't milk it anymore.

Alex was always going to take care of her anyway.

It wasn't that Alex hadn't been giving her the attention she needed; he always tried, especially with whatever he was doing trying to make up for the moment she lost while playing dead, but he never forgot to bring home a rose or to leave sweet messages for her.

He always tried, but Lia wanted more; besides, if she made him feel like she was comfortable with whatever he was doing with her, then he wouldn't try harder. Men always needed the push to make their women feel better, and while the same applied to women, being in his home was more than enough for Alex.

He had practically begged the woman to move in with him. His reason was that he didn't want to lose her again.

He didn't want any harm done to her, but what he didn't understand was that five humans would die before they let anything happen to her, not to mention the armies that had behind them. This woman was a precious gem, and she deserved all the love she was getting.

"I didn't want to worry you," she pouted, and that was the last straw for Alex.

As much as he wanted to make her understand that she was the most important person in his life, he needed to punish her differently for being naughty.

He wanted to tell her that he would always have time for her, but his hands were busy exploring her body through the fabric that was separating their skins.

He wanted to tell her he would be home more often and take better care of her, but his lips were busy exploring every inch of her while his hands did away with all the clothing on them.

He didn't mind that the tv was on or that there was a chance they were scarring the characters, but that wasn't his fault.

So with his hands on her body and her lips on his, they danced the night away, hoping that the next day would be different or better; however, by tomorrow, the roses would have probably died of shock.
