14 Evolver Door

Key Stroke watched Skyla Betts, a 16-year-old girl who had been his second friend since middle school, rejoin the group of students trying to learn after discussing with her the final details that needed to be set in motion while he was gone.

Because of the first few days of chaos they experienced, her clothes had been torn and developed small patches of rips. And yet, it did nothing to hide the cuteness that came naturally for girls her age. Even the hazelnut hair flowing down to the middle of her back helped highlight her elegance in her every move.

It was a natural bearing she had but would lose when under extreme emotions like fear or anger. It was also because of this talent, he chose to let her act as tribe leader in his absence. As for the old man, he would be her adviser.

There was no point in letting the old man stay in a leadership position because he was already on his last legs. If he was given a more active role in the tribe, his death would affect the people too much with the current crisis.

Despite her being a female, as he had seen the hesitation the four tribesmen and the old man had when he suggested a woman be in command, she had the sharpest mind of the students being left behind. Nobody was a better fit than her.

Not planning to waste all his time watching the students learn to craft, he asked the old man and the rest to follow him. The direction he was headed to was the other side of the Divine Door. It was also the place the old man had informed them about during their travel to the Divine Door area.

This was a place where they could increase their strength quickly but experience high risks of danger. The old man had even explained in detail to them that becoming a titled Adapter wasn't possible in a short period of time.

The Divine Door had just introduced an energy they called ambition force into their bodies to raise their Adapter potential. Just trying to locate it and use it was already hard and took time.

Wanting to be a titled Adapter, was no different than a newborn trying to run after learning how to crawl. It was seeking to harm oneself.

Instead, they needed to increase their ambition force to a five-star ambition force first. As they walked, Key Stroke looked toward his hands. Resting in his them were items he asked to be made using the sample of Water of Stone he was studying.

They were garments made from grass stems in the shape of armor that would protect the chest, legs, and arms areas of the body. And he had to give credit to the four tribeswomen, they were very skilled at what they did.

As they finally circled around the Divine Door, they came to a scene of the same details as the other side but with one minor difference. There was a transparent door the size of an average door for their current size. Evolver Door as the old man called it.

It was stationed a small distance in front of the Divine Door as if to say, once one walked through the Divine Door, the next door to walk through was this Evolver Door. Its appearance was the sight of flowing water in the middle of the air that seemed like it wanted to draw in everything around it.

This was farther shown if looking at its outline when one could see that light had been absorbed from its edges and leaving them surrounded in darkness. Simply put, instead of a door, it was more like an open portal.

At this time, they all drew closer as they prepare to enter inside. "Tribe Leader from here, I think you should head back since only the four of us will continue ahead. And don't worry, I have remembered all you told me." Key Stroke reassured the old man.

"Okay but don't overdo it. It is normal to not be able to endure the suffering inside the Evolver Door." He spoke before making his way back to the tribespeople.

Once the people left, the one who couldn't take the silence and wait was the before delirious boy Ford Sterling. He was a short-tempered youth and prefer to place the blame on others before blaming himself.

Seeing the sight of him, was like looking at a mini moving tree since his clothes were brown and the armor wrapping around his torso, arms, and legs, were a green color to act like leaves growing out. "When are we going in? Don't tell me you became a chicken now?" He complained.

Key Stroke shook his head slightly at the older boy. "That's not it. I just wanted to remind everyone that if we fail, everyone will die. This is no game or joking matter. If you still plan on doing this, then you need to resolve yourself first. We will get strong enough to suppress the tribes coming, or will die here trying. There are no alternatives because failure is still death." He said, finishing his small speech of being serious.

Donn Kell who was on the side not speaking just snorted before making his move inside on his own. Black Bourne who saw this action gritted his teeth together before chasing after him to try install camaraderie in him.

Ford Sterling was confused for a second before voicing it. "Those two, what the fu..." He was about to say but was once again cut off from his swearing when Key Stroke pushed him inside the Evolver Door, having decided it was best to not let the others get too far ahead.

Upon stepping through the Evolver Door, they all experienced an experience they would never forget. The suffering and feeling was just to intense not too. The old man had tried to describe it when he gave the Evolver Door a try, but the old man's insight failed to prepare them for this type of thing.
