8 The rise of Mahaba Ratbu tower!

After I opened my eyes what I saw before me is a clearing in the middle of a forest that has trees that grow more than 10 feet around us. The sun is just above our heads so it seems that's the time now is noon. After few more seconds the 2 golems followed right behind us. "Uhm could you give me 5 minutes to finalized my design? Now that I actually saw the place that we will build my tower I suddenly got a new idea regarding the tower designs." "Sure and by the way will you build it all the way to the 10th floor? Or you will be build it floor by floor? If you build it floor by floor it will take a day to finish by these 2 golems beside that it will cost you more that way since building floor by floor will cost credits. If you somehow choose to build the tower straight away to the 10th floor, this will be shouldered by our section." She explained it to me but I was shocked to learn that it will cost credits to build the tower floor by floor as I originally planned. "What!? I didn't read the need of credits to build additional floor in the pamphlet regarding the tower." I asked her.

"To tell you the truth it was intended that way so you will be enticed to build it straight away to the 10th floor and with that you will be easily spotted hence you could immediately curb the population of humans within the vicinity. And from the looks of it, it didn't work as I hoped you'd take in the bait." I was shocked on how honest she was with me and also a bit angry that they would devise such cruel scheme to get immediate results of what we have agreed on.

"Before you get mad just remember they've been conquering kingdom of other race for more than 2 decades now and we need immediate action for that! We need someone to do the dirty job for the greater good, yes it won't leave a good taste in the mouth but who will do it? Sometimes the hardest decisions need the strongest will. We don't want you necessarily wage war on the human empires what we want is to tie them down with your tower and monster." She explained it to me so much conviction that it made me remember someone purple dude that have a gauntlet. "Okay I get it, but why did you have to try and scheme it? Can't you just ask me? If you have asked I'd probably agree to it" She then suddenly smiled at me. "Well since your now under me I have to give you subtle hints right? And this is not the only world and reality that faces the same scenario, some have bigger problems than this and need employees who will take the initiative on their own." She looks valiant when she said those words but I'm a lazy person who rarely takes the initiative hehehehe.

"Since you've explain it that way how could I not take the initiative to make a great impression since my senior is so great at boosting my morale and explaining things to a new comer like me. I will build my tower up to the 10th floor on the 1st try! I can't miss out this offer although I don't know how much I saved with this I'm still happy about saving money." I smiled at her awkwardly. "Well to add a floor from 1st floor up to the 10th floor is 10,000 per floor then from 20th up till the 30th it will 20,000. So basically you saved up 70,000 credits since the 1st three floors are given free from the starter pack. By the way let me see your design of your very own tower." She then gestured me to walk towards her.

"Uhhh not yet just give me more time at least 5 more minutes then I will be confident in showing it to you." I tried to smile as sincerely possible at her. She reciprocated that smile of mine with disdain though. "Okay 5 more minutes but you need to hurry up since we're burning time and time is money. As my last few advice for you, before you finalize the tower you can buy some things from the store app in the tablet, such as traps and security features like camera and so forth just check it out yourself since you are already included in our system, you have the basic clearance to purchase them. Once you purchase things from the store they will be sent to the teleportation array in which we came from. Aside from that while the tower is being built if there's any invader that will attack, your golem will automatically attack them and defend the tower in case that they're overwhelm from the invaders they will send a message through the tablet from then you could show up yourself and defend the tower." She then motioned to walk near the golems. "All you need to do is scan the golems after that they will show up within tablet app. Ow yeah since the monster management app is not yet installed you can't check their stats yet. Do remind me later when we go to the shared mall reality to go to a union authorized kiosk and update everything from them. You should also have the app called monster compendium it has the most comprehensive monster details that have been learned both by the research department and explorers team." As she said that I made a mental note of those what she said because just the explanation from her made it sound great. She then walked to a nearby tree to get shade from the rays of the sun.

As I was checking the store app I immediately check the traps and was not expecting that it will have so much selection to choose from; pitfalls, spear wall, poisoned arrow wall, fire breathing statues, fake doors that will release poison gas, one way doors and so much more. After buying traps from the store from 10,000 credits what is left is measly 3,000 credits to my name. After waiting for 2 minutes the teleportation array the where we came from suddenly lit up and a small hill of items showed up.

"Hey Kim I'm done designing my tower take a look" I wave my hand at her. She then suddenly lift up her head and walk towards me. "Okay let me take a look and evaluate your tower." She then grabs my tablet and check my tower design. "Hmm your 1st three floors are somewhat predictable since you currently have 3 monster spawners; maze filled with pitfall traps for the 1st floor then the 2nd floor is filled with poison traps then same maze but in reverse after that is the 3rd floor which is filled with the Giant Stag Beetles. This will repeat the same process 4th and 5th floor are traps, 6th are the ants, 7th and 8th floor is traps the 9th floor will be goblins. Kind of repetitive don't you think? What I don't get is why does it seems that the dungeon is so easy from the start?"

"I purposely made it that way, since they are going up so easily they will have false sense of accomplishment hence they will lower their guards which will make them susceptible to the more complex and well-hidden traps." I explain it to her with a devious smile. "Hmmm not bad. You do know that this kind deviousness will kill them right? Are you sure that you can do this?"

"Of course! I can't go back to where I came from and the only way is forward, if I turn back now there is nothing to be gained" I explained my determination to her. She then smiled back at me. "Nice! You are already adapting to your new work John. Let me scan it for you and let the golems do the work. They will give you a message once they're done building the tower, let me also save my contacts here in your tablet."

"Now that we're done and it will take a week for the tower to be built let us go to the shared mall reality and update everything in your tablet." We then walk back to the teleportation circle as the golems begin their work. All I have to do now is wait a week at most to see the rise of Mahaba Ratbu tower.
