Beasts of Balo

Blue Bellied Frog - A very common frog, but the gastric juices that make its stomach appear blue can be used as a minor first aid liquid for common toxins and open wounds.

Blue Beaked Ibis - Similar to Blue Bellied Frogs, these birds can be used for minor healing. But they are far more aggressive than the Blu Belied frog defeating the purpose.

Black-tip Falcon - This type of falcon isn't known for its aggressive and territorial nature. But rather, the toxins that reside in the tips of its wings. It spreads a toxic gas to disorientate its prey in order to catch it easier.

Carnivorous Stox - A deer-like creature that appears to be similar to a stag, but holds some attributes similar to that of a carnivore. Claws, fangs, and a tendency to actively hunt. But other than that, these creatures are relatively gentle.

Demonic Human Faced Millipede -

Flee.

Desert Wood Scorpion - Typically, scorpions live in caves and deep underground. But there is an exception. The Desert Wood Scorpion. This scorpion made its home in the once rare Knab. A type of desert tree, that can create its own water. Once scorpions started making this tree it's home, the dead bodies of these scorpions made creating water easier. Then more trees were made. Then more insects started populating these trees. Providing more food for the scorpions, leaving more scorpions. Leading to more water sources. Leading, you get the point.

(I've realized there are no deserts in Balo. But I like this idea. And no, the White Steppes is not a desert but a wasteland.)

Fire Winged Dragonfly - Most insects hate fire. As they should. Except for, The fire-winged Dragonfly. A now common sight near active volcanoes and the Chesbrough Highlands. As beautiful as they are, their dangerous creatures anywhere else.

Fog Walker - Refer to Sin Walkers, except they don't kill baby animals and children. And their diet consists of, Bone Parsnip, Bleak Rock Fern, and Dusk Sumac. And their incorporeal, THANK THE DIVINE AND THE GODS THEY DON'T EAT CHILDREN.

Gigantic Crane - Very few animals can reach a size that can eclipse some giants. This crane is one of them. This graceful creature never goes above a hundred in its numbers and will actively kill off its cubs of other groups.

Gigantic River Snake - This snake does not reside in rivers. IT IS THE RIVER. Its special scales give it a water-like reflective surface. In addition, this snake has the ability to liquefy its form leading to herd stragglers being swooped up in one bite. Though as long as you are careful, avoiding this water reptile is rather easy.

Hell Hound - This fire beast is another resident of the Chesbrough Highlands, known for feeding on the burnt carcasses of other residents who were unfortunate enough to die here. Hell Hounds are one of the few animals that are able to completely resist the high temperatures of a sub-area known as *

Hedonist Oval Faced Snake - A famous resident of the White Steppes, these creatures make thousands of new snakes a year. These snakes come in a variety of colors, but one thing that sets them apart from other snakes in the shape of its face. Thankfully, it is in a constant turf war with the oval-faced spider. Bringing the initial thousands of snakes every two seasons, to just a couple of hundred.

Kork Frog - One of a kind, this frog can physically twist itself in order to avoid its predators. A preliminary observation of the innards and the skeleton of this amphibian revealed a fascinating discovery.

Long Beaked Pheasant - Most Pheasants have a short beak. This pheasant has the opposite. The reason being in order to better catch insects. But not just any insect, but the Nether Vermin. It's unknown how or why this grounded bird is the predator of the vicious and evil Nether Vermin.

Oval Faced Spider - Another famous resident of the White Steppes. Unlike, the Oval Faced snake, these spiders only have a few hundred infants born a year. But each one is the size of a jungle cat at birth.

Razor-Back Wolf - Don't be fooled, the part that looks likes razors on its back are purely for defense. These wolves tend to live in small tight-knit communities and feed on animals that are smaller or equal in size.

Rose-Backed Turtle - Another resident of the Orobrook Shore, this beautiful shelled water reptile is known for the roses that grow on its back. These flowers have a higher water content than any other known rose. The reason, this particular turtle is on this list, is due to the effect of this rose upon ingestion. This rose can instantly relieve dehydration if one is suffering from it, if not, it will cause bloating. And that's from just one petal.

Red Faced Pheonix Peafowl -This descendant of the eternal Pheonix is just that a descendant. It's said that if you gather 10,000 of these creatures and then purify their blood, it is possible to get a drop of true Pheonix blood

Soft-Step Rabbit - Another popular pet of the ladies, this small rabbit is known for its excessively gentle nature. The only reason it is able to avoid extinction is due to its ability to avoid being spotted with its noiseless walking and small stature. Barely a snack for most if not all predators.

Spiked Ribbed Mountain Baboon - Now these red buttocked primates, are a treat for explorers. These animals can almost be considered a quasi-intelligent species, with its almost societal structure with social hierarchy unlike that of other animals that live in groups. These creatures can identify humans and their affiliations and even make tributes and trades with merchant groups.

Savant Quail - Just as intelligent as the Mountain Baboon, these small birds are able to actively breed and raise insects.

**Nether Vermin - This insect was accidentally summoned by a warlock from another plane. And since then, we've paid the price. Thankfully, the Long-Beaked Phesant found these hideously disgusting poisonous insects appetizing. This thing is easily recognizable, it lives in large groups and releases a bioluminescent light that is easily seen even in the day. It resembles worms with legs like millipedes and wings similar to dragonflies.

* I don't actually have names for areas inside these places.

** Obviously it wasn't summoned as it would mean that the Divine is not the ultimate power.
