23 Selecting A Focus

A few hours after the initial meeting of the humans and silver apes, it was decided that starting the following day Munakata, with the help of Kameron, would divide tasks up for everyone to accomplish. Using some of the materials in his inventory, the focus would first be to build a defensive perimeter around the area with stone and wood.

The initial build will be with wood as a simple test before building with the stone. This way there would be less material wasted if there were mistakes to correct. In the meantime, Munakata will map out the defenses and station guard posts around the area to have some form of security established around the village.

At the same time, there will also be another group building more houses for the increase in villagers as well as creating an area for the silver apes to reside. Though the apes could stay in the forest by the village Kameron wanted them to try having an area where they could do whatever they liked.

With this taken care of, Kameron left the impromptu meeting as Munakata selected a place near the south side of the village for the apes to use.

Mikoto had long since left as he saw nothing he needed to do other than looking after the more troublesome children. Anna joined him as she liked to stay by his side. His red was still something she enjoyed looking at as much as possible.

Opening the door to a room, Kameron stepped inside followed by the little elementals. They had followed him back after finding him walking through the village.

Placing his mask into his inventory, he flopped down onto the bed as he thought about everything that has happened.

Replaying everything that has transpired in his mind, he sighed as he thought of everything that would need to be done to achieve his goal. Though he now realized the true scale of difficulty for completing it.

As he didn't want to run around anymore without a concrete plan set out for the future, he thought about everything he needed to do currently. The first thing he could do would be to place down the dungeon and begin farming it.

If he did this first, he would be able to help himself and his summons gain levels quickly, estimating a high rank 2 after clearing all of the floors.

He could also focus solely on building this town up with the help of the silver apes and even construct boats to begin trading by water.

There was even the goal of leveling himself and the others to high rank 2 so that he would be able to deal with the other two beast families in the forest.

"So much to do… I need to decide and focus on one thing at a time."

( I would suggest you focus on creating your dungeon first, as long as you get your strength increased as soon as possible then there will be less pressure from external forces as you build the village into a town and eventually into a city and kingdom.)

Thinking about it as he stared at the ceiling and outstretched his hand above his head, Kameron took the better part of an hour to decide what he wanted to accomplish in terms of importance.

"I need more power!" He said as he sat upright on the bed and looked out the window just behind the headboard. "With power, I will be able to do more without needing to worry as much. Thank you, Ina, you are helpful like always."

Though he didn't hear a response, Kameron felt that Ina would be smiling instead.

Looking out the window at the village residents walking the moonlit paths, Kameron really wanted them to experience something more than simply being villagers. He needed to truly begin his plans so he was not stalling for weeks on end without actually accomplishing something.

Seeing movement near the side of the room, Kameron turned to see the elementals walking around in circles before laying down together. They were sort of like puppies in this aspect.

"I should get some sleep soon…"

The following morning, a young man with lightly tanned skin and white hair was standing on the sand with a small cylinder-shaped item in his hand. As they continued to look at it, he scanned the area around himself before looking back at the item.

"100 meters… this place works right Ina?" Kameron asked as he looked ahead at the vast ocean ahead of himself.

(Yes it should, you should be able to place the dungeon down here if you want to, did you want to put it there?)

"Possibly, I did want to look more in the forest for a more discreet location but it might be good to have the dungeon in a more open area for adventurers to see it and come."

(Well the choice is your own in the end, Kam)

Nodding to himself, Kameron was tempted to simply hold onto the dungeon a bit more but he questioned what good the dungeon would do if it simply sat in his inventory any longer. Smacking his forehead with his fist, Kameron decided to be less indecisive about decisions in the future.

As he is now, he is simply thinking over and repeating the same thing multiple times without actually deciding something. If he was going to be a ruler of a kingdom he needs to get better at deciding something faster and accepting the possible outcomes.

There is no risk without reward.

This is what Kameron was thinking about as he selected the OK option in front of himself as the small dungeon floated out of his hand and few dozen meters over the water before it began together mana around the area and expand.

Watching the cylinder-shaped item grow from the size of his palm to the size of a large mansion, Kameron couldn't say he wasn't surprised. Observing as the bottom of it sank into the water, he felt it causing the ground to rumble for a few seconds before it came to a stop.

At the top, a large crescent-shaped opening formed on the surface of the dungeon while a large stone platform rose from the water and extended into the beachside. With the platform stopping just before him, Kameron continued to watch as nearly a dozen other platforms rose from the water on both sides of the original platform, effectively creating an open area before the entrance.

Looking across the stone-like area, he estimated that one platform rivaled the width of an 18-wheeler. With dozens of platforms of that size, it allowed a massive space to be created in front of the entrance to the dungeon.

"I guess this is where people will gather before venturing inside…" he said as he began stepping onto the surprisingly dry stones. Looking to the sides, he realized that there was nothing like railings to prevent people from falling off of the platforms.

"I might need to do something about that…."

Stepping up to the crescent dungeon entrance that seems almost 10 meters wide, Kameron stared at the veil of blue light covering it, preventing him from looking in the interior.

(The light acts as a barrier preventing people from entering inside, this does not apply to you as the owner and whoever you select as an administrator.) Ina stated happily, informing Kameron of the effects of the blue barrier of light.

Taking a breath, Kameron took a step into the barrier as he trusted what Ina said to him. Feeling no resistance whatsoever he passed through the surprisingly thick barrier as he entered a room of brown rock.

[Welcome Sir! Please name your Dungeon and information will be given to you about how to operate it] A mechanical voice said, seeming like an AI that Kameron would hear in movies on his original planet.

" A name…. How about…."
