25 Anna’s Situation

Around the time Kameron was beginning his 1st evolution, in the Human Capital, A girl was stepping in front of a window as she looked out at the bustling streets outside.

"Miss?" A woman's voice resounded into the bedroom as a knock was heard from the direction of the door.

"Miss Anna, his highness the Third Prince requests your presence in the garden."

Issuing a sigh as she stood in front of a large window adorned with curtains draped to the side, allowing a large amount of sunlight to illuminate the otherwise dark room, the girl, Anna, unfolded the arms she had crossed against her modestly shaped breasts.

"This guy needs to give me a break…" She mumbled as she turned towards the clothes laying down on her bed, courtesy of the maid who had awoken herself and opened the curtains at the crack of dawn before laying out clothes for Anna to wear.

"I will be out soon, I am getting dressed," Anna said in response to the woman who she recognized as the maid from earlier this morning.

Stepping closer to the bottom of the queen size bed she had been sleeping in for the past week, Anna slowly put on the outfit she has sleepily picked out of the expanse of clothing left in the closet as the maid informed her about a few choices she saw.

Slowly slipping into the white dress that would serve as her outfit for the day, Anna stood before the mirror on the opposite side of the room. Admiring her figure within the mirror, Anna took notice of the slit that started from the middle of her thigh and traveled to the end of the dress.

"Well, that's… interesting…" She said before calling in the maid waiting outside of the room.

Upon entering the room, along with two maids looking almost as old as Anna, the oldest maid who has helped Anna every morning stepped forward while the other maids stood behind her. Physically she looked in her mid-twenties but understanding now that looks could be deceiving in this world, she did her best to not assume anyone's age.

"Yes, Miss?" The leading maid asked as she crossed her hands in front of her body.

"Have you asked around about my request?"

"Miss, I have not heard about this toothpaste item that you have been asking about. I have talked with some people and even went out into the city to ask the local merchant but they have all given me the same answer."

Furrowing her eyebrows, Anna clicked her teeth before looking back at the mirror. She hated the fact that she had to brush her teeth with soap, and it was not the soap of modern time, it was worse and less advanced compared to what she was used to.

Clenching her fists, Anna resisted the urge to yell at the maids but understanding that she would probably not be able to acquire the toothpaste she so desperately wanted, she chose to drop it. It had been a week since she had requested that the maid find some for her so understanding that even a maid of the royal castle was unable to find it, she realized that it simply didn't exist.

"Very well, help me finish getting ready please," She said with a smile as she looked in the mirror.

"Very well," the oldest maid said as she and the other maids stepped forward

Anna was aware of the fact that she had died beside Kameron in the flower shop. She remembers feeling deeply hurt that their friendship/relationship ended without getting the chance to progress further.

As she was coming to terms with her death within the expanse of darkness, she suddenly awoke within the middle of the city streets of the Ackerman Kingdom's Capital City. There were dozens of people staring at her but with no clue what was happening or why she was alive and living, she began looking around for Kameron.

Seeing that he wasn't around she quickly thought that he had not been given a second chance at life like her. This made her eyes moisten before they unleashed a torrent of tears as she wailed and rubbed her cheeks with her hands while yelling his name.

Normally people would have gone up to see if she was alright but with her attire being the clothes she had died in but bloodied, dirty and torn in multiple places, they assumed she was another street urchin looking for attention before robbing them when they least expected.

This was until she was found by the princess of the royal family, Amelia Ackerman, a few minutes later.

With the princess routinely strolling the streets of the city with her guard, she chose to approach Anna since she seemed genuinely lost, confused, and hurt. Upon getting close and in front of Anna she realized how beautiful Anna was, she wasn't into girls but she found her extremely gorgeous, even with the dirt in her hair and tears and snot on her face.

Seeing Anna was of an age close to her own, Amelia wanted to try speaking to her. This proved to be easier than expected since Anna stopped crying as she heard someone in front of her asking she needed help. Heading her say yes she started asking some basic questions which shocked her a bit.

Though there were many things that she really wanted to ask after that, she decided to wait until she had gotten them to a more private setting. This was primarily due to her forming an understanding that Anna had some form of Amnesia. Since Anna didn't know where she was, what day it was, or where she lived, Amelia decided to bring Anna to the royal palace, much to the disapproval of her guard as well as city folk watching from the sides.

Though she was skeptical of the girl, Anna eventually relented and followed her back to the luxurious carriage stopped in the distance. Before she could step into it though, she was searched for any hidden weapons or poisons as she could be an assassin from the Demon Kingdom or a faction that opposed the royal family.

When she finally sat down within the carriage across from Amelia and a figure draped in full white armor accented with gold, she was bombarded with questions about who she was, her past, any family, and her home. Anna answered as best as she could, while not answering the extremely sensitive questions about her other life, she didn't want to seem crazy after finding someone to help her in the bizarre situation she is in.

Deciding to tell her father about it, they went back to the castle where she eventually separated after nearly twenty minutes of questioning.

As they entered the palace, Anna was led to a guest room and allowed to stay there under the watch of maids and guards. Amelia, a girl with straight brown hair, and emerald green eyes, went to inform her father of the events happening outside of his throne room. She knew he was probably aware of the situation but with her bringing a random girl into the palace she needed to formally report it.

"Please wait here, I will return shortly," Anna said quietly to the maids beside her before stepping into the outdoor garden within the center of the castle. Sitting in a chair on the smoothed pebble path, a young man with short and shaggy brown hair sat while reading a book.

Beside him was a noticeably older male writhing full white and gold accented armor except for a helmet. He was a palace guard but with his nonchalance and also as his close proximity with a prince of the kingdom, the guard clearly had a high enough rank and power to be where he was.

"Your majesty…" Anna said as a greeting while stopping beside the table the prince was sitting at and performing a practiced curtsy.

"Miss Anna, I am glad you agreed to come to meet with me." He said as he stood up and placed down the book he had been reading before asking her to accompany him through the garden.

Ever since she had been found by him a nearly a week ago while she was being led around the castle, he has been attempting to meet her repeatedly but was given the cold shoulder as well as a stern warning from Amelia.

Anna, agreeing to his suggestion, as she was already enjoying the calm atmosphere of the garden, accompanied the prince on a stroll through the garden as they talked about random things, some about how she is doing so far as well if she remembered anything about her past.

Anna denied remembering her past ever since she had awoken in the street, this kept an air of mystery around her as her secret request for toothpaste was spread around the palace confusing many people.

After an hour or so of strolling, Anna stopped beside one of the many flower beds around the enormous garden.

"I'm sorry, I don't remember anything about my past before I was found by the princess," Anna said as she reanswered the same question for the third time since their stroll began. Leaning down and looked intensely at the white rose in front of her eyes, Anna briefly forgot there was a young man behind her. The flower seemed to draw her in for some reason but she was unable to formulate a reason why.

"I see…" The Third Prince said as he looked over at Anna as she was leaning over, stepping into a position that allowed him to almost see past the slit in her dress.

Averting his eyes as Anna stood back up, he took a look at the sky before sighing as he saw a guard walking towards them.

"It seems this will have to be continued another time, in a moment you will be escorted to me to meet my father, the king. He will most likely ask you what you plan to do in the future. Don't worry, he is an understanding man. Simply be straightforward with your thoughts and something will be worked out."

Smiling towards the guard as he arrived and began escorting Anna from the garden, he took a moment to think back to the multiple times he snuck peeks at Anna during their stroll.

Sighing, his smile dropped from his face as he combed his fingers through his hair.

"Bedding this girl is harder than expected… but none can resist me for long, I'll have her one way or another…"

Minutes later outside of the throne room, Anna was standing beside Amilia as they talked about what the procedure is for meeting a king. As they were, a man slowly opened the throne room door and announced Anna's name.

"That's me, I'll be rig-" she was saying as she suddenly felt tired, stumbling sideways and impacting the wall before collapsing on the floor.

She didn't know what came over her but feeling that she "needed" to sleep, she decided to close her eyes as the princess hurriedly grabbed Anna's cheeks trying to wake her up. The man who had opened the throne room door called for guards as the startled cries of Amelia sent the palace into high alert.

What nobody would have guessed, was what would happen moments later was the delayed result because of a certain individual growing far away from her...
