Date

The skill cold-blooded was quite handy not only for making killing easier but even when he was taking his opponent seriously he still couldn't help but be casual and joke around. It was as if the skill completely erased the concept of fear from his head, whenever he was fighting.

"You surely don't work in an office, that's for sure." Suki's voice woke him off from his thought as he looked back at her,

"I read in a magazine once that chicks dig the whole mysterious vibe thing, so is it working?" Bruce said with a flirty smile,

"It surely is." Suki smiled walking closer, "So you free right now?"

"I surely am." Bruce said a bit taken back but still confidently replied, "So is this you inviting me to a date?"

"I was planning on going on a date after I take your car, but it seems now I owe you one after your whole deal with Vincent," Suki said as she signaled the other girls to leave and take her car with them.

Watching the girls giggle and leave looking at the both of them, Bruce chuckled, "Aren't you being a little bit too honest?"

"I like honesty. You're hot but your car is hotter," Suki said as she got inside his car, "I am driving."

"Somehow that was the most hurtful thing anyone has ever said to me," Bruce said with his lips twitching as he got on the passenger side of the car, "Hey, is it okay to leave all these guns here?"

-------------------------------

"So that's what I like mostly," Suki said speeding through the place with ease. It was clear to see, that she was much better at driving than him.

Bruce could easily guess, that she was likely in the advanced category in driving.

"So, you like the color pink, racing, cars, and designing cars." Bruce said with a teasing smile, "I guess sometimes you can definitely judge a book from its cover."

"I like to express myself." Suki shrugged, "What about you mystery man? We've been talking for an hour and all I know about you is that you're here for a job in Miami, your name is Bruce and you're definitely not someone normal. Are you an undercover cop or something?"

"I have an allergy to legal jobs," Bruce joked,

"That's exactly what an undercover cop would say," Suki made a suspicious expression as the both of them stared at each other until they couldn't hold them any longer as they began laughing, "You're cool, that's all that matters for a first date."

"Well, aren't you easygoing?"

"Can I ask you something?" Suki said as Bruce nodded her to continue, "Would you have killed Vincent if he had struggled further or his goons acted out?"

"I wouldn't go far as to kill them." Bruce said, "After all, the whole broad daylight thing is quite a problem."

It was the most honest answer he could give, back in New York most of the cops would look the other way as long as they knew he was from the continental, but it was hard to determine that here in Miami, where he wasn't sure if the cops here were completely under their control or not.

Bruce didn't mind showing his ability off, but he wasn't too fond of being on the wanted list.

Suki looked at him trying to read his face, but the constant casual expression he had made him hard to read, but a part of her was sure that the strange man in front of her would surely not hesitate to kill them.

The air he gave off at the time was what made everyone a bit afraid of him despite his funny antics. He's not giving a shit attitude wasn't able to mask the killing intent he had let out.

But since it was their first time meeting, she was smart enough to not ask anything further. After all, everyone had secrets.

"Now that I think about it, I definitely haven't eaten anything in a while." Bruce said turning to her, "So how about we make this date a little bit more official?"

"I know just the place." Suki smiled at his antics as they drove faster than before.

-----------------------

"We went on a long drive, ate and now we're watching the sunset together, I guess you can call this a successful date."

Bruce said as he looked at Suki, as both of them were sitting on the hood of his car. Suki turned her head towards him, "It was an average one, I guess."

"Just average, huh, you really do know how to break a man's heart," Bruce jokingly said as a certain moment of silence engulfed them. As if they were attracted by magnets, both of them slowly bought their faces closer to one another, and under the setting sun, they shared a short but sweet kiss.

"Then how about you make it a better date next time," Suki said as she looked away from him.,

"I'll make note of that," Bruce said with a slight smile.

This moment was something he began cherishing without even knowing. It was the first time ever since he came to this world, where he didn't feel on edge. There wasn't a need to fight or be on guard, it was peaceful. He was truly calm and relaxed. And it wasn't because of a skill.

Though fate and all that was bullshit to him, but meeting Suki was really quite an eye-opener for him. He was so indulged with the idea of surviving and growing stronger, he had forgotten about the pleasant normalities of the world.

Without even realizing it himself, Bruce had begun acting out a little. All his pent up emotions from being caged were being released in the littlest form. Like hitting on a girl, who was a complete stranger to him. Protecting someone and showing his strength in broad day light.

Normally, he wasn't the type to care about this sort of stuff. Death and unfairness was part of being a human and it happened everyday, and it wasn't his job to interfere because these things weren't part of his quest nor the mission he was given.

But things were changing now.

The moment he decided to let go of his past in the continental and try to accept this world that he had been avoiding ever since he came here, the shackle he had tied himself into was loosening up. The taste of freedom was addicting and he was wanting more and more of it.

It was his life, and his choices. The system that was supposed to be a helping guide was ruling his life for a year and a half now, and he wasn't going let it dictate his life forever.

It was his choice to do whatever he wanted to do, even if it went against the system or someone else, he wasn't going to stop now. The thing that he had been telling himself all this while, that the only choice was to move forward, applied to this very day.

'I guess my choice of leaving the continental was correct after all,' Bruce couldn't help but think as he looked at the setting sun, that was almost completely gone.

"Hey, do you wanna come to my race tomorrow night?" Suki asked, "You can finally see me in action, and I am sure you'll love it."

"Sure, what time?"

A/N:- Some might think that the romance is going a bit fast, but this is what I consider to be normal date stuff with minor flirting.

After all, this is a fic about movies and not anime. And as we all know, movie logic is basically where characters are so in love with each other after five minutes of them meeting one another that they are willing to kill and die for each other.

But obviously, I am not going to make it that cliche and non sensical, but things will move in a decent speed. Rather than doing the whole won't they will they stuff or just casually ignoring the female character. I want to take it like how a normal movie would go.

The important part of this arc, is change in character of the MC mostly emotionally than physically. So please try to focus on that part on whole than latching on to a single sentence. If there's a mistake here and there please let me know so I can edit it and word somethings better for easier understanding.

And though unexpected, this fic has gotten a lot of good responses so I am very thankful and I am working hard to release a lot of chapter for you guys. Thanks.
