8 Joining the White Lotus Guild
Hu Joon extended his arm forward with a smile plastered on his face towards Yu Jin-Ho indicating a friendly handshake.
"Don't worry guild master...I'm just here to welcome the guy."
Not wanting to cause any ruckus...Yu Jin-Ho responded on Hu Joon's greeting and the both of them shook hands.
"Nice to meet you...Hunter Yu Jin-Ho..."
"Likewise..."
Hu Joon deliberately tried to squeeze Jin-Ho's hand to make him cry in pain and make an embarassment of himself around all the guild members present. Being a brawler type Fighter...Hu Joon is confident that he can break a bone or two on Yu Jin-Ho's seemingly delicate hand.
Even though Hu Joon is famed for his incredible physical strength...Jin-Ho's hand just won't budge. Hu Joon put in more strength in his grip after that but Yu Jin-Ho's hand still won't dislodge.
With the gripping strength Hu Joon is displaying in their handshake...Yu Jin-Ho immediately knew what he is scheming.
'If this is the game you want to play...I'll play along then..."
Yu Jin-Ho also applied a bit of strength on his hand and Hu Joon felt it greatly. Hu Joon's hand is slowly getting squeezed out and he can't get it out.
'This bastard...why the hell is this D-rank so strong?!'
Being prideful as he is...Hu Joon tried his best to keep a cool look even though his hand is almost crushed. His hands were about to become a goner when Dam Min-Jee tried to stop Yu Jin-Ho.
Dam Min-Jee whispered to Jin-Ho as she held his arm.
"Let this go Yu Jin-Ho...let's not make a scene here..."
Upon having contact with his arm...Yu Jin-Ho gave a piercing glare on where Dam Min-Jee had put her hands on and an irritated feeling quickly enveloped him.
For a moment there...Dam Min-Jee completely forgot the Yu Jin-Ho doesn't like being touched by women. Jin-Ho now look like he's about to go on a rampage. Min-Jee knew she seriously messed up.
'Oh crap..."
CRACK!
At that point...Yu Jin-Ho already tightened his grip immediately breaking all the bones in Hu Joon's poor hand.
Hu Joon screamed in extreme pain as tears came swelling from his eyes. His hand got completely crushed by the D-rank Hunter that he belittled and mocked. Hu Joon's cry of agony enveloped the whole area as it caught the attention of the many Hunters present.
To not make the situation even more problematic than it already is...Dam Min-Jee called out to a Healer to help tend on Hu Joon's injured hand.
After Min-Jee called for someone to aid the helpless A-rank Hunter...she quickly pulled on Yu Jin-Ho's shirt and the both of them ran towards her office.
Jin-Ho at full tilt spurned Dam Min-Jee's hold on his shirt.
"Clothes are also off limits..."
"You caused a scene right after you stepped foot at my guild..."
Dam Min-Jee's frustration was clearly stated in her voice.
"If you don't want that to happen again...don't touch me."
With Yu Jin-Ho's unrelenting comebacks...Dam Min-Jee now has the urge to just gobble him up whole but she still composed herself as to not lose the whole reason she invited Jin-Ho over.
The both of them went back to track with Dam Min-Jee stating the operations they do in the guild and the many benefits that Yu Jin-Ho will receive if he ever joins.
If Yu Jin-Ho were to ever join the guild...the benefits and privileges he will have are very enticing if Jin-Ho has to say so himself. What he can get in the association cannot even begin to compete with what he will get from the guild.
Yu Jin-Ho's pay as compared to working in the association will be tripled or even more...that is enough to make him consider joining but there are still more offers just as good. Dam Min-Jee will give Jin-Ho authorization to participate in raids with dungeons higher than the rank of C. This is a good offer for Yu Jin-Ho as the association only manages dungeons that are C-ranked at most since only the powerful guilds get to access dungeons of much higher rank.
Moreover...Yu Jin-Ho's activities will be kept confidential by the guild and will not be leaked outside. This is an advantage for Yu Jin-Ho as he doesn't want much attention and likes to keep a low profile.
With those terms being laid out in front of him...Yu Jin-Ho didn't pass off the opportunity.
"I accept...I'll join your guild."
"You won't regret it..."
Yu Jin-Ho then signed the contract Dam Min-Jee had given him.
This of course not only benefitted Yu Jin-Ho but also Dam Min-Jee herself. Behind all those overly excessive gains she gave lies her main intention. Min-Jee only have one purpose and that is to ascend her guild as the no.1 guild in Korea...dethroning the Vermillion Guild. In order to do that...Dam Min-Jee needs Yu Jin-Ho's help in order to make her objective come to fruition.
With the completion of the signing of the contract...Yu Jin-Ho is now a certified member of the White Lotus Guild.
Dam Min-Jee stretched out her arms to welcome Jin-Ho to her guild with a handshake.
"It a pleasure working with you..."
Yu Jin-Ho just stared at her wide opened hand for a brief moment then turned his back against Dam Min-Jee and began walking out of the office.
"I will come back here tomorrow to start on my first day...goodbye."
With all that said and done...Yu Jin-Ho didn't waste any more time as he sprinted out leaving Dam Min-Jee still with her arm leaned forward like an idiot.
Violent angry screams were heard from Dam Min-Jee's office soon after.

On Yu Jin-Ho's first day...he already got assigned for a raid on a B-rank dungeon. Not that he didn't like it...in fact Jin-Ho was fortunate enough to participate in raiding such a higher ranked dungeon.
Though...Yu Jin-Ho really would have preferred if he could solo this raid as well but he just have to put up with it for now.
Maybe Jin-Ho can be lucky enough get a hold of a mana stone from the monsters in the higher ranked dungeons since he had no luck in the F-rank dungeons at all. He concluded that mana stones can only be found on a monster that of a higher level.
Things are going well for Yu Jin-Ho except for one thing...the one who is going to lead the group is none other than Hu Joon, the guy he unintentionally embarrassed in front of many people yesterday. It seems Hu Joon's hand is all healed up now thanks to a healer that quickly came to his aid that time.
On their way inside the dungeon...Yu Jin-Ho got many stares of uneasiness from his team. Whispers and murmurs started.
"Why is there a D-rank newbie here?"
"Is the guild master out of her mind...why would she assign such an amateur in a very dangerous raid?!"
"He's just going to be extra baggage..."
It should be expected as it still hasn't been long since Yu Jin-Ho registered as a Hunter. Moreover...he's low ranked so it's obvious he will be looked down on. Jin-Ho also got no equipment on him whatsoever...not even a piece of cheap armor for protection. All Yu Jin-Ho ever had in hand is a poorly made dagger.
