20 Chapter 20 - The Void

I am surrounded in pitch black. It was all just a huge, empty void filled with nothingness. Everything was still, everything was silent. It was so dark. I haven't felt or seen light for a very long time. I have been like this for so long, it has almost become familiar to me.

Almost.

It still felt strange, to be trapped in what seemed like an endless void of emptiness. I looked around and saw a girl in a lilac dress with long, black hair, she could not see me. I couldn't recognise her but for some reason she seems so familiar... the girl appears to be distraught and she starts running on air, away from me. Wait... i-is that my sister!? I-it is, it's Yuuki! I yell after her and start to run after her, reaching my hand out to grab her. All of a sudden, she is pulled down and she drops, but not before she turns around and has a horrified expression of recognition on her face as she looks at me. My hands grab nothingness as I fail to save her, she then falls into the void and I am alone once again.

The black hole began to bleed red. Everything is a violent, scarlet red. Something is incredibly wrong with Yuuki. Something happened... but I can't save her like last time... I can feel it in my soul that she's not okay. But I-I can't save her. All I can see is red now. It surrounds me, slowly but surely trapping me even more than I already was. And then the red fades. Then I see a hand reach out to me, emitting a soft light I recognise instantly. It's the same light that's always around Yuuki. This time, I can reach her. I grab her hand and hold it. As I do this, my eyes open as light floods my vision for the first time in ages. I awake to a coarse voice that I soon realise is my own saying,

"Yuuki."
