11 Chapter 11 - Immense Guilt

The following day in school, Jimin had been waiting for a chance to talk to Yuuki. What made him feel worse was how when she walked into class she had deep bags around her eyes and her classmates, who had since forgotten about how Jimin publicly yelled at her, were constantly asking her what happened and why she seemed so tired. She politely brushed them off and insisted she was fine, smiling as sweetly as always, however Jimin knew that there was deep sorrow hidden behind the dolllike smile she always wore around others.

"Please, I'm really fine. I just stayed up too late watching movies and didn't get enough sleep." She said airily, trying to change the topic with the people crowding her. She escaped them and began walking to her seat next to Jimin, she then stiffened but continued walking to her seat and she said down, ignoring Jimins attempts to make eye contact. Jimin noticed a dark shadow of pain briefly pass onto her face but it vanished just as quickly as it appeared.

At the end of the school day, Jimin was searching for Yuuki and he went onto the roof of the school, the last place he would check before he would give up and go home. To his surprise and relief, he saw Yuuki sitting on the floor. He approached her slowly and put his hand on her shoulder gently.

"Hey Yuuki." He said softly, Yuuki was startled and jumped, then when she saw Jimin she frowned and shrugged his hand off, standing up and avoiding looking at him.

"So... come here to yell at me again? Or maybe you would like another chance to tell me how horrible I am and how disgusting I am for k-... causing my brother to die." She said quietly, refusing to say the word 'killing' because the word would cause her more pain.

"No, that isn't why I'm here.." Jimin replied defensively. He felt immensely guilty for his actions and desperately wanted to reconcile with Yuuki, or at least be civil with her.

"Yuuki... I am so, so, SO sorry for the way I treated you. I-I was wrong. You aren't a murderer, you are as sweet and nice and you seem. I found out the truth. The REAL truth and... I know there is nothing I can say to excuse my actions or make hem better but, I would like to be there for you as I should have been from the very start. So please, give me another chance. I don't even care if we have to spar again and you beat me again, I just want to be by your side. So please... think about it." Jimin says, his voice full of regret and guilt.

"... I-i guess I'll give you another chance..." Yuuki mumbled uncertainly.

"If we're going to trust each other then... I may as well tell you the true story."
