18 Epilogue

The sun painted the sky with a bright yellow-orange, piercing through the darkness of the sky, bringing the morning in its wake.

The forest was alive with the sounds of waking animals. Birds singing their good mornings, the hairs coming out of their burrows to find food, a mother fox bringing her cubs out and other animals further up the food chain beginning to hunt for their breakfast.

In the corner of the forest, a deer was drinking water from a pond. It had unknowingly become the prey of a predator that was at the top of the food chain.

Hidden in the trees, camouflaged by the luscious tree leaves. Drops of dew hung on the edges of the leaves, a few drops slid onto and down his face. His black hair and beautiful face hidden by the leaves. His sharp eyes were locked on his target. Silently, he grabbed an arrow from his quiver, placing it on the bow he drew it to its full width. He did it with such ease, as if he had done countless times before. Then he let go of the arrow. Flying at a fast speed, carrying with it unimaginable power it shot straight through the deer's head and into the ground.

Lithely, the predator jumped down from the tree and onto the ground, not making a sound during the entire process. He walked over to his prey grabbing it by its foreleg, he threw it over his shoulder and grabbed his arrow buried to the hilt in the ground. He pulled it out easily, as if it wasn't buried deep in the ground.

He was happy, he had found good game today. He felt his mouth water as he thought of what Ho Seok could cook with the game he caught. Ho Seok was the best cook out of all of them.

Agilely, he ran towards camp. He was like a ghost flying through the forest, so silent and yet so fast.

He came to a stop right outside the camp boundaries. Cautiously he walked towards camp, avoiding the traps they had covered the ground with.

After staying a week in the forest they had learnt to set up traps whenever they would camp. In the past month they had faced countless monsters, not all of them were the giants they had faced when they first woke up.

The monsters came in different shapes and sizes with different abilities. Some of them were as small as a cat but had stealth abilities and could turn invisible. It had razor sharp teeth and liked to bite out hunks of flesh. It had caused them a lot of injuries when they first fought against them. Later they learned to set traps and alarms to warn against them.

Another type was the size of a hippo, it was armed with a thick, spiky armour, sharp teeth, agility and strength. What was most troublesome was its thick armour. It was not until Nam Joon learned to extract metal from stones and shoot them did they start having the upper hand.

After they had killed the giants a lot more giants started chasing them. from the giants they found out that there were human villages near them. Those villages also had superhumans but they were far weaker than them. They also learned that the giants were planning an attack on the human villages. The giants wanted to commit genocide.

That's why they were here, at the corner of the forest. They were heading to the human village near them. Before the headed for the village, they had raided the giant's layer killing tens of giants. After learning how to control their powers they had become deadlier.

The more they practiced the stronger they became, some of their abilities even evolving. Yoon Gi and himself were the only ones that did not realize their abilities yet, but it they would eventually. According to Ji Min, they both had abilities but they just hadn't matured yet. Ji Min's ability had also evolved, he now could see the abilities of people. Nam Joon's ability had evolved, he was now able to extract metals, shape them and shoot them. There was also another one from camp whose abilities had evolved.

He smiled when he thought of that person.

"Jungkook what are you smiling at? People will think you're mental, walking there and smiling about nothing." The voice did not come from somewhere around him, it came from his mind. "I'm smiling because I'm happy. And if you call me mental again I won't let Ho Seok give you any of what I caught." ".........."

Jungkook laughed. He remembered the time when Jin almost died. At that time his spirit was about to leave his body when Ho Seok called it back. Ho Seok did not know what he was doing at that time. When he heard Jin breathing he had burst into tears. He realized that it was his ability, not knowing how to use it he began to panic. They had to calm him down before he could start healing Jin. It was like a miracle, the colour had returned to his skin, all his injuries healed at a rate visible to the eye. And then Jin opened his eyes. They were all overjoyed.

Jin's ability ha later on evolved. He could now enter people's minds. He had started using his ability on the trees around camp, acting as a look out. He would see if anything was approaching camp. At first he could only enter two trees, now he could enter hundreds. It was also thnks to his ability that we could get information from the giants.

As he entered the camp grounds he was greeted by the smiling faces of his brothers.

"Ooh, you got deer Jungkook. That's great we'll have a feast." Yoon Gi said.

Handing over the deer to Ho Seok, he surveyed his family.

Ho Seok was preparing their breakfast, Yoon Gi was pestering Ho Seok to cook certain dishes for them. Jin was sitting at the bottom of a tree in peacefully smiling at him. Ji Min and Tae Hyung were still curled up and asleep. Nam Joon was busy making swords out of metal.

He had been working on making steel swords for them to prepare for their upcoming battle with the giants. They may have raided the giant's layer, but that did not mean they had destroyed the giants' plans, they had only delayed it. Now they had more time to prepare. They had already made their plans. They would set up a base right between the human village and the giants. Here they would stop all the giants' advances and attack from.

Whatever happened they would fight together, for their own happiness and to protect the human race.
