1 Chapter 1 Waking Up

In the dense jungle stood ruins of a building camouflaged in thick vines. Overgrown weeds grew on the dilapidated and broken walls. Its roof seemed to have collapsed and rubble littered the ground. The ruins looked to be ancient and thousands of years old. If one did not know it was there they would not see it.

Jin felt as if he had been floating in darkness for so long, no matter what he did he could not find the light. It felt worse than when he had been experimented on by those mad scientists. Despite all the torture he had been through at least at that time he had his friends - no brothers with him to bear with it together.

The darkness was different, in the darkness he was alone, he could not see, could not feel, could not hear, he felt hopeless.

He was still floating in the darkness when he felt a sudden weight on him. Wait, I felt that, Jin thought. Sudden hope filled him. He began to feel his body in the first time in years. His eyelashes fluttered as his eyelids slowly opened.

He did not get the sunlight he hoped for, instead it was still darkness. He tried to move his hands however he found it slightly difficult as if something was holding him down. He pushed himself up trying to fight against the weight.

"Clack, clack, clack". The piles of rubble covering Jin fell off his body as he sat up. He slowly squinted his eyes as he finally saw the light. Slowly he stood up covered in dust.

He felt utterly shocked by what he saw. The clean white walls were no longer there, instead it was a pile of broken walls surrounded by dense vegetation that he saw. Jin quickly calmed himself down, he knew he had to remain calm panicking solved nothing.

First he had to determine the situation.

He began to explore the ruins. After exploring he concluded that the ruins was the same building they were in before the explosion.

The war had spread far and wide at a fast rate, it had even reached them. What he could not understand was how he had survived and how the building had become its current state.

He was buried under rubble yet when he checked his body he found no injuries not even a scratch, except being a little stiff there were no other problems with his body. As for the building, even if it had collapsed it should not have been this dilapidated and vines that thick would take years to grow on the walls.
