Ivy

Meaning: Faithfulness, English for evergreen

"Oh my god, I'm running late" Ivy grumbled in annoyance as her car engine roared to life. She cursed the annoying patient that refused to be treated by her, solely because she didn't have a third leg.

She tried to swallow her anger and focus on the fact that her friend Seokjin, that she hasn't seen in 5 years, finally decided to visit her. Even though both had contrasting personalities, they instantly grew attached.

She was lost in her thoughts when the sound of her ringtone indicated that she was receiving a call from Jin.

"What's up?" Ivy said.

"What's up? What a way to greet your best friend that you haven't seen in years. You better give me the greeting I deserve" Jin's voice echoed through the car speaker. Ivy giggled at her sulking best friend.

"Hey World Wide Handsome, did you have a convenient flight?" she suppressed a laugh as she rephrased her words.

"That's the greeting I deserve. Anyways, to your question, my flight was terrible! This waitress kept hitting on me! I mean, I know I'm the whole package, but can't someone like me just sleep? To make things worse, my ass is numb from sitting on a hard seat for 15 hours straight!" he complained.

Ivy rolled her eyes, it was typically Jin to compliment his appearance whenever he opens his mouth.

"Don't worry, you'll be in your fancy hotel room soon," Ivy said trying to comfort him.

"About that…" Jin spoke. Ivy raised her eyebrows, waiting for her friend to finish his sentence.

"Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" Jin asked. Ivy rolled her eyes knowing exactly where this was going. Whenever Jin wanted something, he'd start the conversation by complimenting her looks.

"Out with it," Ivy demanded with a knowing smile. She heard him sigh softly before he said. "The address of the hotel we normally stay in was leaked to the public. We received a call saying that fans have camped outside, so I told my manager that I can stay with you." He blurted quickly.

"No." Ivy objected to his masterplan immediately.

"Come on, you have this huge ass penthouse and you can't share it with me? We'll get to spend a lot of time together" Jin tried to persuade her. He knew that Ivy preferred to spend her evenings alone watching her favourite show, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

"But-" her whining was cut off by Jin.

"I don't care what you think, send me your address or I won't give you the gifts I bought. You've got 10 seconds hoe" Jin threatened. Ivy groaned in protest and mumbled out some insults under her breath.

"I can hear you cursing me", Jin warned.

"Fine, I'll text you my address", Ivy gave up and sent him her address.

"I'll be there in half an hour. Don't forget that I love you." He ended the call with kissing sounds. Ivy chuckled, Jin and Ivy have been best friends for 6 years, but his actions still surprised her.

Ivy decided to drop by a supermarket to buy snacks and ingredients for dinner. When she was done she hopped back into her car and drove to her house which was a 20-minute drive from the store.

She parked her car and checked her reflection and noticed the soft black that circled her tired hazel green eyes, her long, brunette, curly hair was pulled up in a messy bun and the soft red colour she had applied on her lips, has faded. Dolling herself up was too much of a hassle, so she settled for a swipe of chapstick on her dry lips.

"It's not like I'm meeting the President, it's only Jin," she mumbled as she adjusted her grey rimmed glasses and stepped out of her car. The sound of her boots echoed through the garage as she jogged to the elevator. She punched the passcode when she reached the door and it opened with a soft melody, she entered her flat and a tired sigh escaped her lips. Ivy stepped into the shower and washed the exhaustion away. After drying herself up she walked out to the living room with a towel wrapped around her body, not noticing the body cuddled up on the sofa, his broad back facing her.

She changed into black leggings that hugged her lean legs and an oversized sweater that hid her curves. She walked out if her room and was suddenly pulled backwards by strong arms, she was pushed against the wall. She screamed as she widened her eyes in fear.

"Who are you?" a deep voice asked, his cold, brown eyes stared into her soul, she scanned his face, looking for anything that could help her identify the unknown man. His blue mane fell messily on his forehead and his long lashes rested on his lids. His angry eyes were guarded by thick dark eyebrows and his chapped lips were pressed into a thin line.

"I said, who are you?" the man repeated in a threatening tone as he clenched his sharp jaw, she could sense that he wasn't the patient type, she licked her dry lips and opened her mouth to answer.

"Ivy." She whispered, so quiet that he had to lean closer to hear her.

Her heart started beating faster and it was not because of his handsome features. He was invading her personal space and that sent off warning signs in her head. She felt her hands shake, sweat beads formed on her forehead. It was very hard for her to breathe, so hard that it felt like she just finished a marathon.

"Get off me." she croaked weakly. She tried to suppress the panic attack that was slowly showing itself.

"You're crazy. Following me all the way here, fan or not, you must have a death wish. " he hissed as he looked at her in utter disgust.

Ivy couldn't hear what he was saying as she was trying to fight the darkness that was invading her vision. Her heartbeat accelerated and she was just a second away from passing out. She gathered all the remaining strength in her weak body and kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. His grip on her shoulders loosened instantly as he collapsed groaning in pain. The pain he was in was indescribable, he couldn't speak as he rolled around trying to ease the burn he felt. Ivy, on the other hand, dropped on the floor after he released her. Her chest hurt intensely as she tried to calm her breathing.

She wobbled to her bag, her legs hardly carrying her as she used the wall for support, she reached for her medication and popped the pill into her mouth with shaky hands.

She'd normally fight the panic attack without the help of the pills, but she couldn't do that with the given circumstances, not with an unknown man in her flat.

"I told you to get off me, smurf head." she spat with anger as her breathing calmed down and the numbness spread through her body.

The unknown man towered over her in two strides. Ivy wasn't scared of him anymore, that was one of the side effects of the pill.

"I will sue you, maniac!" he flared as he hid his sensitive area with his hands.

"If I don't sue you for trespassing first." She pointed out with a blank face.

"Trespassing? This apartment was rented by my manager!" he barked back.

"Excuse me? Your apartment? In what universe is it yours, definitely not in the one I live in." she said in disbelief.

"Look, if you agree to leave, I will take a picture with you and send you off with a signature, deal?" He offered tiredly. His statement made Ivy furious. One thing she hated was being accused of something that she wasn't.

She laughed in disbelief. "A picture with your ugly smurf ass? No thanks, I'll pass."

The anger boiled into the young man's body, he couldn't take this sassy girl throwing insults in his face, so he did what he always does with obsessive fans. He fished his phone and snapped a picture of her and sent it into the members.

Everything happened too fast for Ivy to comprehend, one moment he was glaring at her and the next a flash blinded her eyes.

"Did you just take a picture of me you freak?" she shrieked.

____

"Shit, this is bad." Namjoon murmured as he turned around to face the remaining members.

"What happened?" Yoongi questioned.

"An anti-fan found our accommodation, Taehyung just sent a picture of her," Namjoon answered as he clicked on the picture of Ivy and showed it to the boys.

"Is Taehyung okay?" Jimin asked.

"Yeah, he said not to worry about him. He wants us to come as quick as possible." Namjoon ushered everyone into the car and drove. Five minutes later the van parked in the garage and the six boys ran up the stairs to the apartment. Jin punched the code in and burst the door open, panic running through his veins.

He was more worried about Ivy than Taehyung, he didn't even stop to check the picture that was sent. Jin didn't want Ivy to be thrown into a dangerous situation, the risk of the anti-fan exposing her identity was keeping him on edge. He just hoped that she was running late and not inside with the crazy fan. Jin opened the door, his eyes widened when he spotted his best friend and bandmate glaring at each other.

"Where is the anti-fan?" Jin's voice roared through the big apartment catching Taehyung and Ivy's attention, he walked up to them and pulled Ivy behind him.

"Watch out, that's the anti-fan!" Taehyung shrieked as he pointed at Ivy.

"Where?" Jin asked as he looked around the empty apartment.

"Why is this smurf head pointing at me?" Ivy asked Jin in confusion.

Jin wrapped his long arms around Ivy's petite waist.

Namjoon was about to point at Ivy but froze when he saw Jin's arms around her waist. The members glanced at each other, confusion written all over their faces.

"Why is Jin hugging the crazy fan?" Jungkook whispered to nobody in particular.

"It's her, she's the anti-fan in the picture", Hoseok told Jin as he walked up to him.

"What picture?" Jin asked.

Taehyung pulled Jin away from Ivy. "What the hell are you doing Jin, that's the crazy fan I texted you all about!" Taehyung said through clenched teeth as he glared at Ivy.

Ivy rolled her eyes at the ridiculous situation unfolding before her. "How many times do I have to tell you that I own this place? Now get the hell out of my apartment." she pointed at the door.

Normally, Jin could read situations quickly, but for some reason, he couldn't wrap his head around what was happening right now, he looked around the room and he could see that everyone was as confused as him.

A familiar figure walked into the apartment and grinned as soon as he saw Ivy. "Oh, how are you, Ivy? Long time no see, I see that you have met the boys" the members turned around to see their manager entering the apartment, he pushed through them and walked up to Ivy to ruffle her hair.

"Long time no see, Sejin." Ivy waved at the manager.

"Can someone explain what the fuck is going on because I'm confused and tired", Yoongi demanded.

"Trust me that's not a good combination", Jungkook whispered under his breath and Jimin giggled at the statement, but they were silenced with a slap on their heads by Jhope.

"This is my friend Ivy that I told you about and she was nice enough to offer her apartment to us since our hotel information was leaked", Jin explained.

"More like was threatened to offer." Ivy protested under her breath, but she shut up as soon as Jin sent her a threatening glare.

"What about the message Taehyung sent?" Jimin questioned.

"That's all a misunderstanding. Now, boys, you're going to stay here in her apartment until we find you another accommodation. Don't worry about your safety, this place is guarded and Ivy is trustworthy. Be nice, especially you Taehyung and call me if you need anything." The manager explained as his eyes lingered on Taehyung, then he walked out as fast as he came in.

Ivy turned to Jin in disbelief.

"The fuck Jin? Don't tell me that all of them are staying here?" Ivy screeched at Jin.

"Then I won't tell you." Jin shrugged.

"Okay, then where is my room, I have to work on some songs. " Suga asked.

"The room down the hall is Ivy's and the one next to hers is obviously mine, the remaining ones are for you guys. Make yourself at home." Jin pointed out.

Ivy narrowed her eyes at Jin, who was acting as if he was the owner of the apartment. The boys started assigning their rooms, everyone was busy moving around and checking the available rooms, except Taehyung, he stood still in the middle of all the chatter.

Taehyung's brain was trying to process the words that were thrown around.

It couldn't be, he thought. It was impossible, that the girl Jin talked about before was her. Taehyung knew Ivy through the stories that Jin told him. He always imagined her personality to be charming and nice, not a midget full of anger and sass.

"But she kicked my balls." Taehyung blurted in anger. It was silent, but that lasted only for a few seconds before everyone burst out laughing.

"Taehyung got his balls kicked by a girl." Jungkook teased as he bent over laughing.

Taehyung smacked the back of Jungkook's head as he mumbled some insults.

And that was how Ivy met the rest of BTS.
