24 A house

it was like any other day, he was about the head to Nanahoshi's room to test out a few of her summoning circles, when a new set of footsteps ware heard.

looking over he saw Rudeus and a Dragon behind him.

Ace was bigger now, as tall as Alex when he is walking on all fours, a good thing he can still walk in corridors, but soon, a house would have to be bought.

"he grew up fast huh? it's only been a year since we have arrived here and he needs his room".

Chuckled Alex, scratching Ace's chin.

"so you're going to test the Circles with Nanahoshi?".

asked Rudeus, taking off his coat, but Alex shook his head.

"I'll grab Eris first, she's practicing her ice magic right now, we need mana, and she had a decent amount".

his brother just nodded to this, as he walked into the room.

Alex headed off to the training rooms and walked into the correct door.

only to see Eris, holding her sword and trying to infuse Lightning into it.

walking up to her silently, he wrapped his arms around her waist and picked her up, getting a slight yelp of surprise.

"what did I tell you about doing that?".

he asked in her ear, to which he only let out a huff indignantly, and crossed her arms.

"I wanted to try it out, you can't blame me for being curious about how you do it".

she said, straightening her skirt when He placed her down and crossed her arms.

He only chuckled at her reaction, motioned to the door.

"come on, it's time to test more summoning circles".

she nodded and they began walking to the testing area Alex dubbed "NSCTG".

short for " Nanahoshi's Summoning Circle Testing Grounds".

it wasn't much, only a room large enough to draw a large circle on the ground.

ad he walked inside the room, he saw Rudeus pouring mana into a circle, and it summoning a feather.

"... I wonder how the bird felt when one of its feathers disappeared?".

he remarked offhandedly letting Eris in and following a second later.

"Why don't we layer the circles? sure it's going to take a lot of mana powering a few circles at once but not like we cant".

Alex suggested, looking over to the black-haired girl.

"that might actually work".

she exclaimed and started drawing up a new circle, and Alex got closer to take a look.

"fix that part there and connect those two parts".

he pointed out in the opposite corners and Nanahoshi did what he said.

a few more mistakes later a few layered magic circle was placed on the floor.

with a shrug, he channeled holy power into it and stared blankly at the results... it was a camera.

"can I keep this, I need it for a very important event".

he said in full seriousness, not even waiting for a reply as he stashed the camera away.

they remained in the room for a few more hours and they managed to summon a tire.

who knew dragons could mature in a year and a half time... not Alex that's for sure.

"so... uh, you need to buy a house... and a big one".

said Rudeus looking very amused as he tried to hold in his laugh.

(I will have my revenge, just you wait).

with a sigh, he decided to do be sensible... and ask someone who knew where to buy a house.

so here I am, in front of the princess, who looked very, very amused.

"oh, does the fifth worldly power doesn't know how to buy private property?".

"you know I can kill everyone here and leave right? and no one can stop me...".

the house was two stories high, white, and had a giant yard, with a few trees.

with a shrug, he walked inside the house... it was empty.

he still needed to buy furniture.

in the middle of the room, two sets of stairs led to the second floor, to the left side of the house there was a kitchen, he decided that he would design that himself.

on the second floor ware all the rooms, later one would be made into a library, one into a study room.

(that leaves the other four rooms... More bedrooms).

with that decision, he waited until Eris returned, which took two hours.

he opened the letter and read through it.

then did it again, and then again.

and then the holy power flared like never before.

I wonder how Nanahoshi is doing, the incident that brought her here was very interesting, though I still don't know who or what did it, might have been the man-god.

as I turn to the direction of Magic university, where it was coming from I tried to come up with theories to explain what was happening.

but the only thing I could come up with was Nanahoshi succeeding and going back to her world.

and I dearly hoped that I was right.

the expression on his face when he realized that he didn't know where to buy a house was hilarious.

but not like I know where to buy one ether.

I still need to check it out later, there is going to be a giant yard since he has a dragon to keep but I want to see the house, it will have to be decorated but im sure Eris will take care of that, I'll have to help with the library that he will build in one of the rooms.

but now it was time to research with Fitts-senpai.

the sudden feeling of power that washed over me like a wave brought me to my knees, and I wasn't the only one, every student was on their knees or knocked out.

I knew what it was, my brother used to flare his mana to prove a point if he didn't want to argue with anyone, mostly used it on Soldat and his party.

but this is insane, the only reason that im even conscious is because of my large mana reserve which he made very clear when explaining a few points of how he flared it.

the only thing that can resist it is Toki or potent mana.
