1 Chapter 1: A Menacing Bull?

"We all woke up..."

That is what the history books say at least. This planet used to be "civil" as some say. We could wake up in the morning and think about our future. Then one day "We all woke up.". "We" in this sentence is not humanity, but the entire planet. We had been living a lie for thousands of years while mother earth fixed herself, and suddenly, a switch was flipped, we were no longer human… well not entirely. Humanity, as we called ourselves back then, was living a lie. No one was entirely human. For some reason we did not know at the time, we all awoke to a [Bloodline]. A [Bloodline] is a cluster of energy and memories passed down from our ancient ancestors. These ancestors lived millions of years ago, far beyond what those twenty-first century people called recorded history. Before the Aztecs, before the Babylonians, or the oldest civilizations they knew, there was a great war. A war so great and so destructive Mother Earth was injured and decided she needed a rest and a vacation. So, she blocked the memories of our [Bloodline] and retreated into solitude and peace. She did not expect, however, for the people of the time to rely so heavily on their genetic memories to store all their memory that we all forgot everything. Thus, cavemen were born, this answered the long unanswered of the time of the missing link. Where did humanity come from, we now know it was mother earth, of sorts. The day humanity awoke we dubbed "The awakening".

All though we were tossed into a world that we did not know, we were not lost. The genetic memories inside of us helped us to get a firm grasp of what we needed to do. As well Mother Earth sent 1 of her inquisitors to each nation on the map. So, we had guides. And though we were weak we persevered and lived on until our society flourished and we became a world of fighters and strong-willed people. Or so I thought

It has been over 500 years since then, we are on earth, the year on the Gregorian calendar is 5th of September 2555. Tomorrow is my first day at Sostyx Academy. It is officially the start on my journey to godhood.

Book 1: Taking a step in the right direction

The sun shone into the single-roomed bachelor apartment.

And although a boy lived here, it was kept clean. The floors were not dirty, the counter and surfaces were all wiped clean, the dishes were done, and the bed made.

It was not even 7:00 am yet the house was empty. The front door opened to a young disheveled young man. His name is Tobias "Toby" Silver. He had medium length hair that he let hang down in front of his face. He was sixteen years old in a month, but just because he was young did not mean he was not mature.

He stood at 5 foot 10 inches and behind his baggy clothes he had a hard-corded body made of muscle. He was by no means small and by no means large. He fit well into his tall stature. Every day he was up with the sun to follow a daily regime of running and exercising. The government gave every citizen the right to view and practice basic combat martial arts. Which he practiced every morning without fail He had broad shoulders that, if used correctly, can give him an intimidating look. However, in the looks department, he did not get the cream of the crop. He was very normal, some may say he is cute, but in no way is he considered an extremely attractive person. The only defining feature on his face were his grey-blue eyes, eyes that were piercing and vivid. And in the right sunlight, some say they shone like polished steel.

Toby entered his apartment and had a shower, to wash away his grime and sweat. After the shower feeling refreshed, he changed into a casual outfit, He wore black combat boots, a clean but worn pair of blue jeans, and a black t-shirt. He proceeded to put on a grey-blue beanie to hold his hair back and keep his head cool.

Today was the day he started at the Sostyx Academy, a well-known school in the city of Iron Hills. This place is where all the potential warriors, magicians, and artisans studied. Within those walls, the chances of awakening his [bloodline] were greater than anywhere else. After he finished washing and dressing and having his breakfast he headed out.

"good morning young silver"

"good morning to you as well Ms. McKoy" Toby was an orphan and didn't accept many people's help. His mother died when he was twelve and soon after his landlady Ms. McKoy helped him find a job at a local smith and rented him her cheapest apartment at a discount. Tobias was very grateful to know such a wonderful woman.

"Off to Sostyx today are you"

"Yes Ms. McKoy, if I'm not there on time I'll miss my job placement"

"Have you eaten today young man?"

"Of course, how could think a growing young boy like myself would miss out on breakfast. I wouldn't make it two steps out my door before I collapsed" he teased, Toby and Ms. McKoy would often poke fun at each other

"I'm excited to see what [Job class] you get, let just hope it's not a ballerina" she teased toby knowing her did not like to dance and was a terrible dancer as well.

Since [The Awakening], everyone is able to pull up and see a screen like system that allowed them to view their stats and convert world energy, commonly known as Exp, into their own power. On top of that people will get a [Job Class] assigned to them, this will determine how they can use their exp and some jobs will grant you extra stats for each level gained

"well run along before I kick your ass for being late" Teased the old lady "you better come back and tell me how your day was later"

"I will Ms. McKoy"

He waved goodbye and proceeded to run to the nearby bus stop. In the last 500 years, the development of technology continued to progress in an unending stream of discoveries and insights. Because of this public transport has become more and more available and more commonly used. Allowing hundreds of people at a time to get on or off comfortably at every stop. The rich still had their own private transport.

When he stepped off the bus, he was facing the from gates of Sostyx Academy, two grand pillars 10m tall carved from giant bones acted as the doorway. Each pillar had words carved into it, on the left it says, 'Weak or Strong, it does not matter' on the right it says, 'Only the brave may succeed'. Toby felt a shiver down his spine and a bad premonition.

Shaking his head and clearing his thoughts he walked into the front gate, green sprawled across the front lawn of the academy. The front lawn was roughly 500m long and nearly 200m wide. Is was covered in perfectly manicured grass. Large Beautiful willows placed around the lawn acted as shade to hide from the sun. A bloody crimson path cut across the field gave a grim reminder of why he was here.

He marched towards the main building. He had got an email a week earlier telling him to head straight to his designated training room. He walked into a large 30m by 30m room. The floor was hard ironwood, a wood known for how hard it is to break. The walls were 6 inches of steel, but they were covered in scratches and cut marks.

Standing in the middle of the room was an imposing figure. Close to 7 feet tall and looking like an oak tree stood a man. He was bald with a large scar running from below his eyes to the underside of his chin. He was a huge man covered in bulging masses of muscle and flesh. He stood straight like a pillar and had a menacing air around him. The rest of the people in the room stood on the edges not daring to look at him.

"excuse me, is this the first-year class." Toby said as he walked up to the man

Suddenly a very warm smile spread across this scary man's face. "Yes, it is young man, may I get your name." he said in a southern drawl. "Tobias Silver or Toby sir, May I get your name" Toby replied with a smile.

He glanced around the room and noticed many of the people listening were shocked, 'I guess no one checked in' toby thought as he watched these young men and woman hesitantly make their way forward

"I'm the Instructor for this class, Clayton Bull" 'The irony of this man is, he looks like he could kill a bull with his bare hands' thought toby as this man introduced himself. "However, you can all call me Clay, now everyone gets into lines of five after you have checked in with me while we wait for your [Job Class] assignment time.
