1 Chapter one

My older sister 10 minutes older left with my dad. Leaving my mom and me to take care of the taxes on and very annoying neighbors. By the way who wanted everything to do with us. We lived in a small apartment complex on Oceanview Lane. There were two small bedrooms a kitchen sofa bed bathroom and window seat.It was small but it was home.I was always at school events parties school board meetings it was boring and took up a lot of my free time I was called teachers pet and golden girl maybe it was because I always got good grades and always helped the teacher.My mom was almost never around. So I had to get a job, so I could move out as fast as I could. I was working at a little cafe down the street. I got payed 16 dollars every hour. I worked 12 hour shifts everyday. I made 192 dollars a day. Yeah I know that's not a lot of money, but it's good enough for me. I would soon have enough money to buy an apartment a state over so I could settle down and have a fresh start. I grabbed my car keys and ran downstairs. "Mom, I'm going to work now",I said. I got in my car and started it. I pulled out of the driveway and drove down the street. I parked in a parking spot . And turned off the car. I walked out about to cross the parking lot when out of nowhere a car came speeding towards me. I froze and just stood there like a deer in headlights. Then something crashed into me. I hit the hard ground with a thud. I swear I could see stars. " Are you okay", said a voice. I turned my head and saw that a guy my age was laying right next to me. Then it hit me like a load of bricks this guy had risked his life by helping me. " Thank you for saving me ", I gasped. " You're welcome", he said. Then he offered me his hand and helped me up.
