1 Chapter 1

It was such a long drive just to meet up with my husband Kyle and my son Jake for our family vacation. We drove separately because I still had to finish up work and couldn't get off work early to ride with them, but I didn't have to work. I was meeting up with my lawyer to get the divorce papers so I can hand them to my husband during this vacation.

Stepping out of the car I whisper to myself that I can do this. I grab my bag and walk to the lobby to the front desk to check in.

"Welcome to Adventure Inn! I'm holly, how may I help you?" She said with a fake smile plastered to her face.

"Hello, I'm here to find my room, my husband and son are here already. It's under Kyle King."

She gave me a mean look and typed on the computer. "Your in room 206. Have a nice stay." She said sarcastically

I just grabbed the key and shook my head not sure what just happened. I walking in to the elevator pushed the second floor button and look around. I can see my reflection and I make sure there isn't anything on my face. My dark brown hair is pulled up in a ponytail and a bit of a mess, my green eyes have dark bags under them showing how tired and exhausted I really feel. My straight nose to my full lips nothing is standing out to why she would be so hateful out of no where. Letting out a sigh the doors open and I turn right to find my door. I open the door and to my surprise I find my son laying on the bed watching tv.

"Hey baby boy! What are you doing in bed? Why aren't you out have fun? Where's your dad?"

"Hey mom, I was waiting for you to get here. Dad already took off with Tim. He said I should wait on you so you didn't spend the day by yourself."

"Okay, just let me freshen up and than we can go zip lining." I turned to the bathroom. I rinsed my face and took a deep breath. I walk out unzipped my bad and grabbed my backpack, I filled it up with water my wallet.

"Ready bud?" I finally look around and noticed I don't see my husband bags. "Where is your dads stuff?"

"Ya im ready, oh he told me you wouldn't care that he shared a room with Tim while I share with you." He said getting off the bed and putting his shoes on.

"Oh okay, well gets go. We are wasting day light, let's go." I said with a smile on my face but I know he didn't share a room with Tim, he must of had another women here with him he's trying to hide. I shake my head of the thoughts, I'm not going to ruin my vacation with my son.

Everyone is getting on their harnesses for zip lining, I just get mine up around my hips when I hear my husband yell at me and my son to get in line while they hang back and will meet up later. I just rolled my eyes, he acts like I don't know he's cheating on me and has his two other kids with his secretary. I look at my son and smiled, I grabbed his hand, rushing to get in line. He's 14 now but still my baby. Standing in line my Jake tells me he's goin to get in a different line because he thought a girl was cute. So once again Im alone, the line moves very fast.

We are assigned one guide the whole time, so I finally get to the desk for a guide and a man that was at least 6'4, wide shoulders and narrow hips and has sleeve tattoos. His features are strong if not precisely chiseled, his nose is long and bold, his mouth wide with a full bottom lip. His chestnut hair hanging over his forehead, while his ocean blue eyes are shadow by his long dark lashes. He looks me up and down, he walks forward, said your with me. His deep voice that sends goosebumps all over my body. His hand reaches out and zips my coat up, just grazing my nipples. He attaches the rope to me and grabs me. "My name is Gray, Grab ahold of me and wrap your legs around me, okay?" He said! As he squats down and I wrap my legs around him, I look around and lock eye with my husband while his hands down the guides pants. I just shake my head lay my head on my guides shoulder and squeeze him for him to start down.

It was fun, I've been before but never had to hold on to someone, we got to the bottom.

"Thank you" i said, "that was different and fun"

He said "no problem let's go get something to drink before the next course."

He pulls headphones out and hand me one and he had the other. I found that we have the same taste in music so we start a conversation around music and bands.

We get our drinks and snacks and sit down at a bench, before to long we started getting crowded by women wanting to talk to him, I slowly started inching away. I needed some alone time to myself to think how I'm going to hand my husband divorce papers with out drama. I started walking up the hill and found a old school yard and small school building that looked abandoned. I slowly walk up the school buildings and see a door is opened. As I take a step inside I get jerked back in to a hard body.

Gray turns me around "why did you just leave! You can't just walk off!"

"I'm sorry, it's not like I went down a line, I just went for a walk, you seem busy enough with all the girls around you. I'm not one of them, I'm not going to sit around fanning over you, I'm married woman."

"So you got jealous because I had woman all around me so you left? Wow! I know your married that's why I picked you, but than I seen your husband fucking a guide just like you did and I felt bad and pissed off he would cheat on someone so as beautiful as you! I wanted to show you a good time to get your mind off him. "

"I'm sorry I yelled at you, I was just worried something happened to you". He said in a gentle voice.

I stand there looking at him and not sure what to say, he seen my husband with another woman and yet he thought it would be safe to have a married women so I didn't try to jump his bones, i don't know I'm so confused by what he said.

"I'm sorry I should have done that but I need to clear my head." I said ignoring everything else he said.

I walked in the school building in awe, it's dirty and dusty but nothing is broken but it looked like someone lived here at one point but left everything. There was a piano, couch, dresser with a box on top, it had a small Kitchenit and a bathroom but you can see the school chalkboard on the wall, you can see school chairs pilled up in a corner.

We take off our harnesses, I walk by the dresser and run my fingers over the box on top and open it, it's a jewelry box, it still had rings and necklaces in it. I pull one out that's beautiful and Gray grabs it from me and places it on my ring finger on my right hand.
