10 Base number three is not fun!

He laughed happily and after he finished his drink he leaned a little towards us with excitement. Ok...He seemed to be enjoying the subject of our conversation!

"All of him annoys the shit out of me! His short legs and his girlish body! His blue eyes...that damn smile that he keeps on his face all the time...just all of him! Some days I really want to destroy him but..."

He paused and I became more curious ... so he had a reason to stop himself when he could easily hurt him!

I leaned forward a little to continue our conversation in a low and calm voice so he could feel a warm and friendly surrounding between the two of us and spill the beans!

"But? Is there a problem that holding you back?"

He stared at me for a few moments then chuckled and leaned back in his seat...

"I don't even know why am I telling you this stuff...I just met you! Whatever...it is nothing!"

Calum tried to ask something else, but when I gently tapped his thigh from under the table, he quickly got my hint and continued to laugh and joke with Zayn's cousin. It was one of the first orders that the boss gave us! We couldn't ask him so many questions on the first day, otherwise, he would have suspect us.

We sat in the cafeteria with the boys for a while and then went back to get to our next class. The worst part of this mission was studying, but we have to put up with it. We could not disappoint the boss for the second time. Until the evening, we had three more classes, which were shared all of them with that midget and the same two friends of him and in all of them, he was taking notes and reading the thick books on his desk very intensely... pathetic!

Calum and I were sitting next to Zayn, and in the meantime, something was annoy me so badly ... If Zayn hated that boy so much, why did he always go and sat right next to him? Was he a masochist?

He kept looking at him with a frown and was making fun of him in a low voice, but the shorty would not show any reaction and kept smiling... or maybe he was a sadist!

Boss had said that two members of the pack were also monitoring our midget and my heart was burning for them. What a boring goal the poor people had! It was true that zayn's morals needed a bit of fixing, but he wasn't boring!

After the last class, I was gathering our books and Calum was talking on his phone when Zayn came towards me…

"You don't have another class, do you? Gather your things and let's go!"

I took a look at Calum and tried to look surprised. It was so great that he was accepting us into his pack this soon!

"Where? You are going somewhere specific?"

"Nothing special! We are just going to have some drinks and hang out .lets go, it's going to be fun!"

Zayn explained and I was just waiting for him to finish his sentence so I can finally accept his offer! We have to use all the opportunities we have to get to know him better. Boss wanted an answer and we didn't have much time.

When he finished, I wanted to accept his offer but Calum came towards us with a smile and jumped in the middle of our conversation like a rude kid!

"No thanks, we have to go!"

Stunned, I turned to him and wanted to give him a hint to not spoil our position when he slowly blinked twice and shook his head ... he had a reason!

"Jesse is not feeling well ... we have to go and check on her."

We had a problem! I reacted quickly and asked sadly. "Really? Again?"

He nodded slowly and stared at me with his serious eyes. When Calum gets serious, then something definitely happened that was worth losing this opportunity. I turned back towards Zayn and shrugged with a shallow smile.

"Sorry man! Our friend is sick and we have to go...next time?"

"Of course! It's not a problem at all... If you needed any help just let me know ok?"

He smiled and clapped my shoulder softly and went towards his group. I felt warm inside that he wanted to make sure we knew he had our back and that made me feel good.

"I like his support ... it makes me feel good."

I nodded my head with a deep breath and glanced at the crowded hallway. I motioned for him to follow me... we needed to find a more private place because I did not want anyone to hear us.

I glanced at the parking lot to relieve myself that no one was close enough to hear us, it was a big university, and finding an empty place was hard as hell. When I made sure no one was around, I frowned and looked at him.

"You better have a solid and convincing reason for ruining a beautiful chance like this!"

He nodded quickly and then stared at me after a glance at the parking lot…

"Boss wants to see us!"

As soon as he mentioned the name of the boss, I realized that we screwed up because boss would never visit us during our missions!

"Did he call you personally?"

He rubbed the palm of his hand on his jeans nervously and shook his head. Of course, he should be scared ... An angry boss was never a merciful boss!

"No, it was Leo ... he said boss was furious!”

I rubbed my forehead tiredly and took a deep breath. It was better to prepare ourselves for a severe punishment because when he gets his hands on us, he wouldn’t give us a chance to breathe!

"We messed up already!"

"But ... we didn’t do anything wrong! We entered this college with the mission to approach Zayn and gathering information from him and so far our work has gone well! Did we miss something?"

He said with stress and started rubbing his left elbow unconsciously... there were few people who could forget the memory of any high ranking's punishments in our pack!

Boss Ashford has trained all the base's top and powerful rankings himself and all of them were just like him. Strict with dreadful punishments! He is the Boss!

"Why in the hell are you smiling?"

I almost laughed out loud when I saw his terrified face and funny reaction but I contented myself to a small smile and shook my head…

"I was thinking that we are so lucky that boss Ashford is not our direct superior! Otherwise, we would be six feet underground by now!"

I laughed softly when I saw him shaking with fear ... he was right! We were lucky to be under the supervision of boss Simmons because even thinking about the direct supervision of boss Ashford over everything we do was scary! But apart from all this, Boss Ashford was the best leader we could have at the moment and his only problem was his harsh behavior!

"Where we should meet boss?"

"Hmm ... Leo said that boss ordered us to stay where we are and don't make any mistakes until he arrives."

Confused, I rubbed my temples, then leaned against the wall behind me and went through our whole day in my mind. The situation was very strange ... Why was boss so angry? Why did he want to see us?

"Do you think...?"

Calum's question was cut off with the sound of his phone's ringtone and I somehow felt that boss was close. I could have felt his power...

"Hello...yes boss...yes...yes …understood...ok...we..."

When I realized that boss hang up, on him, I stood up straight. Boss was much angrier than we thought!

"What did he said? He was talking too fast..."

"He ordered us to see him tonight ... he said we should go to the base number three for now and we shouldn’t even think about moving an inch until he says so..."

When I found out that something had happened that made him change his mind with that amount of anger , that was when I started freaking out... The situation was getting really odd and unpredictable!

"Well, we must had ruined it so badly, that we have to be imprisoned in the Omega's base for the next few hours!"

"Hey! Be careful about what you say ... we're still new here!"

I nodded as I stared at the other side of the parking lot. He was right... We were new and we didn't know what was going on around us and that was making me nervous!

"What are you staring at?"

I nodded towards the same dwarf that Zayn didn't like. He was standing on the other side of the parking lot with an armful of books and was waving at us with a big smile.

"Let him be! Let's go ... it's getting late."

I nodded and looked away from him. What makes him always smile at everyone?! Even those who bother him and do not like him ... His smile was one of the most confusing things about him!

Without paying any more attention to him, we got on our motorcycles and Set off to base number three. After about an hour, we reached a large and abandoned property that no one knew how boss Ashford had found it and is using it without any trouble!

When we entered the main building, I frowned at the earsplitting sound of newly turned werewolves who still didn't know how to fully shift. I could not understand how poor omegas could always endure the horrible noises of new groups every few months!

"Shut the fuck up! It's not even dark yet! Ew! What is wrong with you? You sounds like cats in the middle of mating!"

I glared at the locked bedrooms and Calum laughed and led me towards the couches in the main hall.

"Don't bother yourself so much, buddy! We were here before and you know what is going on! Don't you remember? That body ache we had before shifting... fuck! How much bone ache we had! We were at this stage too, Luke ... I don't like this too but we have to try and understand them a little!"

I rolled my eyes and picked an apple from the dish on the table and bit it hard…

Deal! He was right again and that was a record for him! Normally I was the reasonable one but it seemed today that I could not control my anger and that was probably because of my direct connection to boss and...Fuck! He must be so angry right now!

I took a few deep breath and tried to calm myself down but I still hated their voices ... damn! There were seven or eight of them in total so why were they so loud?

Few hours? Boss had chosen this place for us with a clear reason ... mental torture!
