1 New Beginning

Zeref P.O.V

The same bright day as usual I walk around the woods just to kill some time. How long I have been here? It has been so long until I have forgotten. I have also forgotten where am I? Sigh.....

Oaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

What is that sound!? It comes near Mavis's grave. It sounds like a baby cry, but there is no other people here. What's happening ?

I walk slowly to the uncertain sound, I don't really know if I am allowed to go near it. I bring death to others even if I don't want to. I stop to think about it, 'Am I going to kill it if I go near it?'

Oaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

The voice becomes louder and louder. If I don't go and look for that voice the wild animal will come and might eat it. This thought makes me even more worried. Then after a while of thinking I have decided to go to the source of the sound.

At the front of the grave I found a baby inside a cradle wrapped with white blanket. She is so small, very delicate looking baby, I got curious and kneel at the ground then start poking her right cheek with my finger. Her cheeks is so red and very soft.

But then she grabs my finger and start laughing. This makes me scared and I pull my finger away from her since afraid to hurt her.

She starts to cry without opening her eyes. I began to panic, I got confused and she start crying even louder. Those make me start thinking to go away from her. But then I got the feeling that if I touch her again she will stop crying.

I really don't know what's got into me. I know that I made the people around me died, but now I held this baby in my arm and she stopped crying then she begins to laugh and try to reach my hair.

Watching her so closely makes me paying attention at her face details and begins to describe her appearance. She has big beautiful eyes, a perfect round face, her light blue hair that is so unlikely soft for someone who was born in the forests, her tiny yet healthy body and for odd reason she has never opened her eyes at all, I begin to think if there is something wrong with her eyes.

Then I try to talk to the baby, for some reason I have a feeling that she understands what I say.

"Hello there little one. May I see your eyes?"

Hearing me say that she stops laughing and starts staring me with closed eyes. After a moment she gives me a cute kind smile and she starts to open her eyes.

It was a breathtaking view of her eyes. The colour of them is a magnificent crystal rainbow and even brighter than a pure diamond. She looks at me with an adorable bright smile.

At this point I know if she shows her eyes to those greedy humans she will definitely suffer, but she looks stunning with those pretty eyes. She must learn to protect herself so someone won't take her eyes.

At that moment I, Zeref Dragneel decides that I will make this child mine, raise her and protect her. It all started when I took the child away from Mavis's funeral and that time I didn't know that all my actions have been watched by the ghost of first guild master of Fairy Tail, Mavis Vermilion.

It has been a week since I took her with me and very interesting thing happen. She has passed far from the expectation I give to her.

She starts to learn to stand with her two feet at the evening the day I pick her. Then she learned to walk by herself by watching me walk around her four days ago and now before me a week old baby running around the forest with unlimited stamina to catch my intention. Sigh.....

If this continues what is the thing that I will teach to this child without knowing that she already master it days or maybe years ago because her unbelievable fast learning skill. Sigh.....

"Ze!"

That sound behind makes me jump a little startled from the sudden sound. Thinking that there's no person living in this place beside her and me, I look at behind me to see what is the source of the sound but find nothing there.

Confuse from what happen I began to search my surrounding but found nothing. I begin to think it was suspicious and start to build my guard up. "Ze~" Then that sound came again but this time sound like someone whimpering and it come from bellow me.

I look down and shocked. I found my child under me clinging into my right leg whimpering my first word name.

"Zeeeeeee~~" she said it with a pout, she look so adorable even if she didn't open her eyes.

I smile at her a little thinking how proud I am that she's already learned to talk. For a baby that age a week she is really fast learner I begin to wonder how big her magic core inside her.

Too focused on her I didn't notice that wolves beginning to surround us. Their nasty bark echoed through the forest birds on trees near us fly away from the sound.

Leaving us here in the middle of the forest alone with many wolves surrounding us. I begin to think that if I use my magic here, it will kill not only the wolves, the plants around us, but also my new precious child.

Seeing that I didn't do anything to attack them, they begin to run toward us with mouth wide open.

In an instinct I bring myself hugging the child and protect her from the harm that may come. I prepare for whatever pain that will come, but before the wolves even able to touch me my magic come out of control and kill anything near me.

Seeing this make my heart ache and then I remember the child in my arm. She seems sleeping, but her skin colour became to pale. She is dead. I killed someone precious to me again. With this I begin to cry hugging my baby dead body.

As if the sky hear my grief it begin to pour soaking me wet. I don't care, I just make a life disappear again and this time she already grow in my heart. I hurts to lose someone important to me.

I am too busy grieving that I didn't notice Mavis ghost is standing in front of me wearing a sad face.

But then something unusual happen. The time suddenly stop, the rain stop raining down at me. It's like the time has been stop by someone, Mavis is the first one that notice and look around, she shook my body to make me realise this situation.

Seeing Mavis appeared in front of me make me shocked only for a moment. Then I notice my surrounding is strange.

"Mavis why did you did this?" I ask Mavis the only person here beside myself.

She look at me fuming with anger "I didn't do this!" She shout at me face red with a pout.

"Then who is did this?" I ask to no one thinking out loud my thought.

After I said that my baby body begin to glow. It so bright that make me and Mavis closed our eyes. Later the light begin to dim.

We open our eyes little by little still adjusting with the light. When we open our eyes fully we get shocked from the scene in front of us.

My baby body fly at the sky, majestic white wings with a tiny black dot at the edge of the feathers. Soon the black dot disappear leaving a pure white wings glimmers with light.

The time begin to start again but the rain suddenly stopped. The wings that appeared at the back of my baby gone make the baby fall from the sky. I catch her from the fall, her skin colour coming back she start breathing again.

A huge wave of relief wash me make a smile past on my face. Mavis seen this with a smile. My baby begin to stir, a prove that she is waking up.

She open her eyes, stare me with her beautiful orb, then she close her eyes, cuddle closer to me and back to sleep. I watch this with a smile plastered on my face.

"It seem you have found an angel."

I look at Mavis when she said that. Thinking to what she said, angel already extinct before my birth, they live with us as a tale for children, but they are real and the prove is in my hand.

But why they sent her come now? Why is she alone? And then again why she in this forest? If the God give her a mission then why entrusted her to me?

Many question past by in my mind and none of them are answered. With a sigh I just keep it a while until I have the answer.

"Yes, I believed it's true. My daughter is an angel."

Mavis P.O.V

It have been a while since that incident and I have never seen Zeref cried like that, that child is really important to him. Oh! Silly me She also my beloved child!

Two days after that incident she start to know more vocabulary and to my surprise she can see and understand me. She look so cu- No! Adorable, absolutely adorable!!

Zeref is really a meanie, I just playing with her cheeks and he take her from me, the frown in his face really visible. And that is the reason of this situation, I have been pouted ever since he is so meanie.

The child glance at me every once a while looking at me with curious look. Then she come to me asking if am I okay.

This make me squeal and not notice that I iron-hugging her. Her skin become pale, Zeref that have come back from looking food notice that her skin become paler than usual.

So, he drop everything that in his hand and rushed to see his new found child.

"Mavis stop! You are choking her to death!" He shout

I immediately release her, she begin to take a deep breath. Zeref come to her patting her back to make her relax. You ask where am I ? Well, I stood in front of her head down from embarrassment.

Zeref P.O.V

I sigh in relief, Mavis nearly hug my daughter to the death, but it seem that my daughter didn't have the heart to really hate someone even if they tried hurt her. Like right now, I see my daughter trying to make Mavis feeling better after what she did to her. My daughter is to kind for her own good this will be a problem in the future.

She doesn't know other people beside us, she will grow ignorant to the world outside if this continue. I really have to fix this, but I wonder what should I do?

She really need someone that will stay by her side all the time, It's not that I don't want to be with her, sometimes I really have a bad feeling that I may not be at her side when she grow mature.

A friend? That is! I will make my creation to accompany her, he will be my shadow to watch her when I gone and protect her from harm.

"Zeref what are you thinking?" I look behind me Mavis looking at me with her big green ayes.

"I have been thinking if we can't be with her, then who will be with her and protect her she to kind for her own good, she will be used by other-"

I pause this with a frown visible in my face thinking that those stupid creature might use and hurt her.

"So I decide that I will make a creature to be my shadow and protecting her always." I said the end with a smile.

I look at Mavis, she seem to think the possibility of my word. After a while she give me a nod and ask.

"What creature you will make?"

That actually make me think what creature that my child won't afraid and also look frightening to others. That is when I look at my child drawing a picture in the ground.

I amaze at her drawing skill she manage to make an exact replica of the topic of her drawing. There is me, Mavis, tree, bird, wolf, bear or ape?, an apple, and finally a dragon.

She look at the dragon with an amazement while she touch it. It seem that she admire dragon. Wait! Dragon that it! Dragon look very scary to most of human and she doesn't seem to afraid of it.

"Mavis I have decide it's a dragon." I said to Mavis.

She look at me and pouted. "Whaaat! That's not cute! Pick bunny!"

She make me deadpanned at her attic and have a sigh. "Mavis this is not funny." I said in heavy sigh. She look at me still pouting and have a little tear in her eyes.

I leave her alone with my daughter and go a place alone to make the being.

Mavis P.O.V

While Zeref make a dragon for this child. I wait here with her until he finish. She still drawing in the ground, her hair grown under her knee almost reaching the ground. She grew a habit to close her eyes and the fact that she really blind.

Zeref might not know this, he thought she can't see because her eyes are closed or maybe he knows but just didn't say anything. Her eyes so bright that the light of her surrounding cannot be in her eyes that make her cannot see the world, but she can feel her surrounding and her others sense is very sharp.

She can go around without bumping at thing, she can draw to express what her heart see, she didn't even sad that she can't see the light of the world, she very happy at herself, and this a prove of an angel.

The fact that they must feel other and judge them not by the appearance, but by their soul or heart. And to do that they must not see the world only judge them with feeling.

This kinda sad, even if many human is corrupted like what Zeref said, but I can still feel the light of my guild shining very brightly.

This child need to feel with herself, maybe she is what God sent to this place to live with me and the famous evil magician.

She don't judge Zeref for his magic. She see him as himself and a father. This is the thing that make Zeref like this child. I stroke her hair this make her stop drawing and face me with eyes close.

"Mama what's wrong?" She ask opening her eyes.

This make me slight jolted, she see that my heart full of worry and called me her mother, it make my heart so warm. So I return her with a smile that is sincere.

"I am fine my dear."

She look at me confused for a while but then give me a bright smile and close her eyes again. She then begun to play with the birds that perched near her body.

I watch her with a smile. Then I hear Zeref sound from behind me. I turn around and find him with an egg in his hand. It have a color of white and little snowflakes at the edge.

"Are you done?" I ask him

"Yes, I am." He said that passing me and walk toward his daughter.

Zeref P.O.V

"Child I have something for you!" I said walking towards her. She stop playing with birds and start coming to me.

"Dad what's wrong?" She ask me while trying to look up to me with curiosity. Hearing her voice calling me her father make my heart really warm, I smile at her cute face. I sit down in front her and give her the egg.

She accept it and become confuse. "Dad what is this egg?" She ask me while observing the egg that she nearly unable to hold because it's size.

I smile and answer "It is a dragon egg, I make it for you."

She look so happy, she hug the egg, after that she was running and jumping around us happily. She stop when she feel the egg begin to shake, she put it down in front of us and start to stroke it gently.

The egg begin to crack and a baby dragon is born. It begin to look it's surrounding and it's yellow eyes fell to my child. She name him Ryuu. Making us remember that she doesn't have a name.

It's already night and today is a special day when once a hundred years a blue moon will rise to the sky. That blue moon light make my child look very beautiful, so I decide.

"My child your name will be Aoi Luna." She look at me and give me big smile. I hope this day will continue forever. I almost forgot this happiness that I once upon a time felt.

Aoi Luna P.O.V

I have lived here in this island for a long time, I don't remember how long is it, but Dad suddenly started to teach me about magic. He look little stressed along with Mom, it's looks like that their specialized magic didn't match with my aptitude. With some exceptions of Dad's Magic Lock and Mom's Rebound Barrier Magic.

Dad's Lock Magic is an ancient magic that seals enemies magic techniques and I given it to me so can used it as long as I remember the correct magic name and formula used to construct the magic circle. But it can only used at one object or a person and at that period of time I can only used that magic that I lock. It wasn't a very good magic to use as the time to cast is very long unless in a desperate situation. Dad gives me a lectures on how I should only use it as a last option in a battle. It also drain the magic of the user very fast if used in very long period of time. It can kill the user if they're not not careful.

Mum's Rebound Barrier Magic is a high level barrier magic that protect me from enemies magic and rebound the attack back two times. Thought less costly than Dad's magic it was very difficult to maintain without constantly focused at the task. So, Dad and Mum made me master this magic even during sleeping or distracted by suddenly attacking me at random time. Mom and Dad also want to make me learn to not let my guard down even when I am asleep.

They also teach me some self defense material art, so even if my magic is empty or somehow unable to used magic, I can still fight without one. This actually make my Mom so proud that a kid like me can sometimes beat my Dad the so called most strongest magician by being smart and innovative. Dad was also proud at me but he sometimes sulking for a while because he lost to me that not even a teenager.

Ryuu my best friend is a shape-snifter dragon. He can change his appearance to anything. He is a little meanie always loves messing with me, when Dad and Mom isn't around me.

Both of us always having some argument every time and when he win, he always make it as a new bully material to annoys me. Because of him I become very patient person.

I always wore a plain white dress that reach under my knee. Mom always like braid my hair on each side of my head so I leave it like that besides I also like them. My odd parent usually got to an argument about my appearance like that.

Mom like me to wear pretty dresses, but Dad like to give me shirt and pants because its more easy to move around (note: overprotective dotting father don't want boys to notice how beautiful his daughter is).

So, I stop their bickering and decide to wear a simple white dress that easy to move around and not that revealing for my Dad.

Today Dad gone to look for foods, my Mom is a ghost so she didn't need to eat. I have been left here alone with my best friend. We're wondering around and found a portal in the middle of the forests.

Ryuu told me it's suspicious and we should wait for Dad. Because Dad would know if it's a threat or not. My curiosity got better control of me, I ignore Ryuu's yelling and enter the mysterious portal.

Ryuu P.O.V

Aoi entered the suspicious portal and then blinding light happen, when the light fade away the portal also vanish this make me fall into panic, I immediately called my creator Aoi's father, through telepathy that ingrained into my magic core when he created me as Aoi's bodyguard slash playmate.

When he came I immediately explain what just happens, he then said it's probably the portal to Spirit World and Aoi will come back a bit later because the different time and space between Earthland and Spirit World.

This make my heart stop pounding heavily, that time I swear that kid will give me a heart attack in the future because of her curiosity.

Aoi Luna P.O.V

After entering the portal, I found myself standing at the middle of a flower field. The atmosphere in this place is very sweet making me want to running around the area.

What I didn't notice is that since I somehow manage to come here, my action have been monitored by six powerful being. But they just stand in the shadows and observe me for a moment.

After playing in the flower garden I finally notice that several auras hiding in the trees, but their auras didn't say that they will do me harm. So, I stop playing in the flower field and decide to visit them.

Their auras tense when I go near them, this make me shout that I come in peace. They finally come out from hiding.

I feel boys older than me there are five of them and the last one is a big old man. I smile at them always keeping my eyes closed. And introduce myself.

"Nice to meet you my name is Aoi Luna."

The big old man ask me "Dear child what are you doing in here?"

I answer honestly "I find a portal when I was playing in the forests near my home and when I entered the portal, I suddenly being transported to this place."

After I said that, they look surprised probably because I'm still young yet my grammar is right and very polite for my age, but then the boys sending a glare at one of them. The boy that have been glared laugh nervously and look away in guilt. And they begin to argue with each other.

"How many time I told you stupid!? To make sure that portal is gone when you're done using it?" Yell the one with blazing aura.

"Why are you mad at me!? Mizu usually forget to make the portal gone to!" The one that have calm aura shouted back.

"Shut up! You blundering fool! Stop make your blaming your mistakes to others!!" Snap the one that have a cold and very demanding personality.

"Everyone stop! You are in front of guest!" Said the shy one in a quite voice.

"....." That is the silent one.

"STOP THIS INSTANT!!!"

They finally stop bickering when the big one shook the ground and as he shout. His voice so loud that I have to plug my ear when he done shouting my body still shaking from the sudden loud voice.

The others notice me in this situation and the big one begin to apologise sincerely. "I am sorry child. I don't mean to hurt you."

I just give him a nod because my body still shaking. The silent one come and hug my body, his warmth make my body calm. I said thank you for him, he just give me a nod and release me then he gone back at his groups.

The big one start the communication "Child, I am the Celestial Spirit

King and this place is the Celestial Spirit World."

"Celestial Spirit World?" I ask not knowing what it is.

He understand the question in my statement and start to explain to me what is a Celestial Spirit is and that Celestial Spirit World is their home. I give him a nod that indicating that I understand what he saying.

First he look at me with curious gaze that he ask "Child why did you close your eyes?"

My mouth hang open a little at the sudden questions but I smile gently at him and reply "I born blind sir."

This seem shocked them there a moment of silence before the Celestial Spirit King speak again "I am sorry child, I don't know." There is sadness in his tone.

I immediately try to make him feel better. "It's fine am used to it." He reply me with a small smile. The he face the boys and ask them "Why don't you guys introduce yourself?"

The one that have a calm aura introduce himself first "Nice to meet you, lady Aoi. We're a fairy and I am the Knight of Nature also known as Perfect General, but my birth name is Fon."

The silent one speak "My name is Hikaru, the Prince of Light also known as Chaos Hitman."

The one that have a blazing aura speak "The name is Takuto kid, my title is the Hero of Fire. But people know me as Hell Swordman. You better remember that!"

The shy one start to speak with a shutter "My n-na-name is m-Mizu, my t-ti-tle is the Magician of Water a-al-so k-known as Genius Magician. I-t's ni-ce to m-meet you Aoi." I gave him a smile that made him blush but I can't see it.

Finally the cold one sigh before start to talk "My name is Yuu, but you must call me Yuu-sama. I am the King of Darkness also known as a God of Death."

There is silence for a moment before I start to giggle. This make Yuu mad at me "What's so funny low life." I shook my head still giggling. "I just made some more friends, I'm very grateful." I said that and finally broke to a light laugh.

They look at me with a shocked face but soon change the Celestial Spirit King have a big grin in his face along with Fon. Takuto have a smirk in his face, Mizu gave me a whole wide smile, even the cold Yuu smile a bit. Hikaru just silent for a while but then he give a gentle smile to me.

This make his friends startled and start to pestering him to show more emotion, it's seem that Hikaru always have an unemotional face and personality.

When they done pestering Hikaru. Fon suddenly speak "Hahaha! I like you lady Aoi, I decide to make contract with you." When he said that a magic circle appear under me if I can feel it was the color of green the same color of his soul.

Hikaru only silent but his white magic circle appeared under me. "Hn." Yuu grunt that and his purplish black magic circle appear. "Fine! I accept you kid." Said Takuto pointing his finger at me. His red magic circle appear. Mizu poking my shoulder and ask without shutter me "Will you accept my crest to Aoi?" I give him a smile as yes. Then Mizu blue magic circle appear under me.

When all the magic circle under me react. It make my body feel so comfortable and I feel power surging in me. When all the circle gone, the boys aura also vanished this make me fall into panic and desperate to search for them but stopped by the Celestial Spirit King laugh.

"This is the first time! You really are an interesting child!" He said it along with laughing. The first of what? What he saying make me confuse. He see me confuse and start explaining what happen.

"They are the most powerful fairy in the world because of that. Humans hunt them for their power, but they can't live without having contact with human. This garden is the last sanctuary for their own protection. They are planning on dying here, I tried to make them sign contract with human, but they are to stubborn for their own good. They make every human I sent to make contract with them ran away in fear. I'm glad that you have come child, It's seem that you caught their interest and you have make them trust you. You don't know how hard to won their trust. Even I took 2000 years to make them somehow able to rely on me. It's practically a miracle that just happen for all of the willingly sign a contact with you."

The Celestial Spirit King praising me non stop, he make me blush red from head to toes. But then I remember to ask where are they. He say that they are inside me recovering because they are in state of dying. The Celestial Spirit King then make a portal appear once again, the one that connected to my home forest and sent me home, he also said that I can visit him as many time I want. He felt quite lonely even if the Spirit World filled with many spirits, he as the King has to act perfectly in front his subject this make him unable to conferences normally. Her presence is truly the exception as the only contractor of the fairies after such a long time.

When I return at the forest. Ryuu is the first one that hug me, he is crying, he have worried about me for 4 month. This make me realize that the time in my world is faster than the time in the Celestial Spirit World.

Dad is happy that I am home, Mom is practically squeeze me to dead that make Dad pried her from me and start another argument. Even so, I really happy and very satisfied here.
