6 Backfires

Nara, who had almost given up hope because of her phone that had not been picked up, finally breathed a sigh of relief after her last call was picked up by her twin brother, who was none other than Nate.

"Nate! Where are you, and why did you just pick up my phone now, "Nara snapped explosively when Nate finally picked up her phone call.

Silent ...

No answer was immediately answered by Nate from across the phone. It was apparent that Nate was quite annoyed when he received a call from Nara.

"You tell me now about your whereabouts, or do you want me to report it to Dru?" threatened Nara trying to bully Nate.

Instead, Nate chuckled softly on the other side of the phone.

"Why are you laughing? I'm serious, Nate," said Nara, who softened a little this time.

"Alright, alright, I'm not sure you dare to report me to Dru. After all, if you report it to Dru, then you will be the one who will lose, and you will end up regretting it."

Hearing Nate's words, thoughts of thoughts that Nara had previously denied are now increasingly popping up in her head. She imagined the possibilities with what she thought before.

"Bro ..- you met Louis?" Nara asked Nate nervously.

A small hum was heard from across the phone.

"Nate, aren't you angry? You didn't hurt Louis, did you? Is he fine? I was in the wrong, Nate, don't blame him, and don't you ever tell Ed and Dru about this. "

Thump!

Nate, who was across the phone, seemed unmoved in his place. He didn't know that just because of his hum, Nara would immediately respond like that.

'Has she been pressured by our always protective attitude to him?' Monologue Nate in his mind.

"Honestly, I'm angry with you. It bothers me that you didn't tell me. You can rest assured I'm not that bad, Nara. It's just that if I think he needs a special warning, then I'll take action myself, instead of telling Dru and Ed, you know yourself, they are worse than me, aren't they? "

Instantly, Nara's heartbeat, which had previously rumbled violently, now subsided. She began to be able to reduce the excessive worry she thought about before.

"Thank you, Nate," said Nara hesitantly, biting her lips softly.

"You have to tell me everything so that I can be neutral. I'll be home soon. Please help me to get into the house without the other knowing, I'm sure Dru has come home, and soon Ed will arrive home."

"Okay, I'll help you. I'll give you a code if it's safe," replied Nara quickly.

Be thankful that Nara has a twin like Nate, who always makes unilateral decisions.

Among others, it was Nate who did not always judge anything from only one party.

After that, Nara hung up on Nate.

'Luckily, Nate is not too angry and did not just corner me. Otherwise, I will always feel guilty to him.' Monologue Nara silently.

***

Louis is now in his car. More precisely, he is driving his car to his residence, which takes 40 minutes to reach his house.

Louis's eyes seemed to focus towards the front, it's just that his soul and mind seemed not in his body.

The image of Nate, which he thought was Nara, seemed to dominate his mind.

Somehow after Nate's words at dinner seemed to make him think hard.

Flashback On

"Let's eat," Louis said politely.

Nate just nodded his head slowly and enjoyed the food in front of him.

There was no chat at all while enjoying the dish.

Only a few clinks of their cutlery were lightly intertwined a few times.

For a moment, Louis seemed to be staring fixedly at Nate. He thinks Nate, in the form of Nara, according to his expectations, will be noisy during dinner, or maybe like other girls who have an interest in him, will try to steal glances at him.

But the opposite happened!

The girl was completely silent and leaned towards him with an indifferent look.

"Don't look at me like that. I feel uncomfortable."

That cold sentence actually came out from the girl in front of him.

'Did I make a mistake? Or is she in trouble' That was the first time Louis immediately asked himself.

There is not the atmosphere that Louis expected.

"Do you have a problem?" asked Louis, trying to break the ice he felt was getting tense.

Nate let out a deep breath and stopped his movements to eat his food again.

"Yes, I have a problem, but don't think about it," said Nate nonchalantly with a glance that glanced at Louis.

'Ah ... it turned out that my timing was not right,' Louis whispered in his mind.

"Okay, I won't bother you. You just continue your food."

'Why isn't he angry? Isn't it that as I remember Louis is the typical grumpy and never willing to give in?' Nate's mind is honestly confused with Louis's attitude, which he thought was odd.

Reluctant to go too far, Nate chose to continue his meal.

Flashback Off

'Strange? Why am I as if I can't do anything in front of her, and why am I not angry or annoyed with her when she just ignored me earlier? Is it really that this time I'm really attracted to her? Feel the awkwardness.

"Gosh, if I really like her, means what Jack said is true, I have to prepare to face the girl's guard," said Louis quietly while gulping his saliva roughly.

Louis's intention, which at first was just trying to test Nara about her attitude towards him, now backfires on him.

From the start, what he told Jack wasn't entirely true. He is not really interested in or has feelings for Nara, but he only plays a little of his own game to have fun with a girl who can be considered relatively "rare" for him.

'Stupid! Jack's right, I shouldn't really go to her and start my own game!' monologue Louis, who cursed himself.
