11 CHAPTER 10: Free Light City MC's POV
Just as i was browsing the manual, my dad walk in.
Edmond : here you are son, I've been looking for you.
James : Dad you came just in time, here's the blueprints i have finished, take a look.
Edmond : hmm... Let me see... Free Light City. Is that the name we are calling the settlement.
James : Yup, Free as any one can enter the city may it human, synt, super mutan or ghoul are long as they are not feral and will follow the rules of the city.... Light as i want our city to be the light in this dark and dangerous world., a plce where any everyone can feel safe and comfortable.
Edmond : what a nice name, suitable for our settlement.
James: Dad i want you take those blueprints, and i want you to lead this operation if that's ok with you that, Order some adults to help with this. I will also try to make some helper drones to help you with this. The worker drones will be finishing the outer wall soon after that i will also asign them to help you.
Edmond : No problem son. I can take care of this.but before that let us go outside, the feast is starting soon.
James : ohh... Ok.
When we exit Babylon i notice that it's already dark outside, we start walking towards the site, arriving there I saw that all them are already here, there's also a large table with lots of foods and drinks on it, and a makeshift temporary stage.. When i was looking around my dad drag on the the stage, i also so my mom and aunt there so i walk beside and greet which thet reply with smile, while dad dad walk in front of the microphone and star talking.
-Edmond's POV-
I look to the people as I am currently in front of the stage with microphone, after a moment i start my speech.
Edmond : Greeting to you all, you must be wondering why we are gathered here toning. Well... We are here to have a feast as a welcoming ceremony to our new brothers and sisters.... This city is built to be the light to the people who are losing their hope in this forsaken and broken world, to give them a place of belongings, a place where children can play, laugh, and attend school without worrying about the raiders and monster will attack them or that a slaver will capture them and sell them off for some few caps, a secured place with proper order that will make people feel safe,,, A place where anyone are welcom as long as they follow the rules and don't cause any trouble may it be Humans, Synth, Ghoul, or Mutant..... My brothers and Sisters this is going to be your new home from now on, here you will be feed 3 times a day, you will be protected, will shelter you and give you clothes, you will be given a payed Job and your children will be be given a proper Education... I only hope that you will do two things, to protect this city and to follow orders... Aside from me there's still 3 people in charge of this place, My wife Claire Storm she's the Head of Medicine , My sister Christine Storm she's the Head of Military and lastly My son James Storm the Head of Creation he's in charge of all the creation, don't undermine him as he have created a lot of things here like the turrets, the security Robots, even the guns is made by him, thats right he's the creator of the famous Dragon Branded Guns..... Now before we start the feast I want to welcome you again... Brothers and Sisters welcome to your New Home.... WELCOM TO THE... "FREE LIGHT CITY".
And after that i saw all of them clapping their hands even my family. Then I head towards my family.
James : nice speech dad, almost make me cry hahaha
Christine : You really let loose there.
Claire : You did great, You made me proud Hon.
My wife kiss me after the compliment.
Edmond : what to do now?
James :now we enjoy the PARTYYY. Haha.
My son shouted and start headIing for the foods.
Claire : I like seeing this side of him.
Said Claire in my embrace while looking at our son.
Edmond : Yeah me too. No matter how he thinks and talk like an adult he still a child.
Claire : you raised him well.
Edmond : no... We raised him well.
I look at my wife eyes and kiss her.
Christine : ok you two lovebirds... Get a room will ya.
We saw her heading for food too, we laugh ather and follow her from behind.
MC's POV
as I am eat with few of the people, I notice one particular person, she's a ghoul eating in the corner . I start walking towards her.
James : i didn't know ghouls still needs to eat.
??? : haha no we don't, but i just like to eat.
James : My name is James, my know yours?
??? : My name is Heilga. I know who you are boy, your one of the heads. I won't lie, i did not thought that the creator of the famous Dragon branded Guns us genius child, you've also created alot of incredible things here. I'm very impressed.
James: haha I'm flattered with your compliments miss Heilga.
We talk more and i get to know more about her. She told me that she was a teacher in Washington Dc before the great war and afer surviving she and her husband start traveling to find a place they call home. But they got attacked by raiders which resulted her husband to die saving her, and although she escape, she unfortunately tripped and fall to an radiated place.
Heilga: I thought I was going to die there aand meet my dear husband in heaven but instead i became a ghoul i don't know if it's a fortune or course. I want to kill myself back then, but i will just throw aways my husband's sacrifice in saving me.
James : I'm sorry to hear that.
Heilga: no it's ok it's nice letting my built up frustration sometimes.
James : well since you said you were a teacher back then, why not teach here afterall we are planning to build a school for children and we lack teacher. Of course it's a payed job.
Heilga: Why not, I also miss teaching childrens. I'm at your service boss.
James : well I'll be counting on you miss Heilga.
-FRANK POV -
My name is Franklin frank for short 12 years old. Im with my little Sister Abigail, She's only 4 years old, we are currently eat delicious foods for us this is most delicious food we ever tasted.
Abigail : Big Brother tase this one it's so delicious, and this drink is also sweet and tasty, what kind of drink is this brother?
Frank: Haha you just eat all you can there's a lot of it where it came from. The nice aunty in the big table called it Orange juice before handing it to me.
Abigail : should why hide some for tomorrow?
Just a my Sister said that a woman approached us.
??? : haha you don't have to hide some, you don't have to worry about food anymore as the city will provide you with everything.
I look the the woman and was surprised. She one of the head that the uncle on the stage introduced earlier.
Frank : I apologize for the thing my little sister said maam as she just a child.
I bow my head towards her Nervously as i don't know if we offended them.
Claire : haha no need to be serious boy, i was just making fun of you. By the my Name is Claire what about you guys?
Frank: thank you maam, my name is Franklin and this is my Little Sister Abigail.
Abigail : muuu... Big Brother I'm big girl now i can introduce my self. Hello Aunty my name is Abigail.
Frank: Abby you should call her maam, she's one of the leader her.
Claire : haha don't listen to your big brother little abby you can call me aunty anytime. So where's your parents?
Frank : our father left us while our mother died a year ago. Since then I'm raising my sister on my own.
Claire : I'm sorry to hear that. But you don't have to worry, now that you both are here we will take care of you.
Claire : Now let us forget about the gloomy felling and go eat, how about you little abby did you like the foods here.
Abigail : yes aunty it's verry delicious.
Claire : hahaha I'm glad you liked it. Why don't you come with me and go get some cakes.
Abigail : what are those? Is it delicious?
Claire : verry delicious.
Abigail : then what are we waiting for lets go.
And i saw my sister holding Claire's hand while the both of them walk towards the Table.
I smile as this is the first time my sister looks really happy since mother died.
Frank: mother if you are wathching over us, you don't have to worry we finally find our Home.
I said those while looking at the stars.
