5 Ch.5 Meet me for lunch

Lila studied Mr. Keilel's expression intently, wondering his feelings regarding the matter. He seemed to think that it had been her duty to clean those papers for him and not just something nice that she did. His face was expressionless. She felt an unspoken annoyance form in her throat before swallowing it and letting it fester in her stomach. 'Best not to cause a fuss on the first day.' she thought to herself. She let the practiced professional smile play across her face.

"Yes sir, what can I get started?" she responded.

His brows furrowed. He gracefully approached his desk and then shuffled through the papers for a moment before handing one to her. She took it quickly as it fell out of his hands. She read it thoroughly the anger in her chest whirling into a dark cloud. She looked up to see his hand waving insistently for her to leave. The corner of her lip twitched in uncontrolled rage. She turned and left his office, her forehead creased in extreme agitation.

The paper was a 46 part list of her tasks to complete for the day. Grabbing her purse she got back in the elevator clutching the paper roughly and creasing it. All the way down all 30 floors she muttered to herself in annoyance. She was way overqualified for this job. An assistant? She used to be a high executive just under CEO.

She stomped out of the elevator her heels going *CLICK CLACK* across the tile lobby. She drove obnoxiously fast to the high class tailor shop across town. She spent practically all morning running around town on misclenious errands. For odd things like duct tape, shoe wax and even batteries. When she finally got to the 46th task she was already exhausted. She had been muttering all day about how she wasnt a dog to do his bidding when she noticed that she was at the end of the list.

She read the last task without comprehending it at first. After several attempts the task still didn't make sense, untill she sounded it out in her head. "Meet me for lunch." Confused she plugged in the restraunt's adress into her phone and drove there according to its directions. Arriving at the restaurant she parked on the side of the street and shoved a couple coins in the parking meter. Walking into the restaurant her jaw dropped in awe.

The enterence was richly decorated with red velvet walls and well oiled dark cherry wood floors. Tall bamboo stood confiendently in copper pots. She approached the marble front desk that had dragons intricately carved into it, and shakily asked, "Has a Mr.Keliel arrived?"

The hostess greeted her kindly and told her to follow her. They walked through the main floor of the restuarant, weaving through the occasional onyx column with jade and gold accents in the intricately carved faces and scenes. Lila was prepared to see Mr.Keliel at a table at any moment yet they didn't pause their gait. Unexpectedly they entered a short corridor and then an elevator. The hostess smoothly pressed the top floor button.

Confused, she anxiously played with her purse zipper. It was normal for her to go to lunch and even dinner with Vivian, but she was worried. This place looked like more than four digits expensive, and Vivian always took her places where she could comfortably cover her own meal. Doing that in this place might be a challenge.

The soft ping from the elevator snapped her back to reality as the hostess walked out of the elevator and pulled out the chair at the table in front of the refined looking Mr.Keliel. Turning towards her with his eyes half shut in a lax expression, he smirked lightly.

"Ms.Peaks, you made it. Let's talk."
