9 Ch. 9 Car Crash

At the scene he saw that one car had been hit head on by another vehicle. The latter with less damage had a person exit the drivers side. An annoyed stout little man came out in the easily recognizable construction uniform. The large man appeared fine but the other car had no motion within. In a panic Mr. Sandman leaped forward and with incredible strength ripped damaged driver side door. A panic stricken face slowly turned towards him with wide eyes and an agape mouth.

The shocked individual was still holding onto the steering wheel with whitened knuckles and his seat belt still on as the sudden releasing of the airbag hit his face. The sight although scary seemed comical. With the persons hands still clasping the wheel with outstretched fingers their face was smushed against the head rest still facing Mr. Sandman. His glasses were set askew across his brows allowing Mr. Sandman to see his eyes clearly. With the left eye in a light green tone it offset his pale face with red freckles splattered here and there. His right eye in an icy blue tone it complimented his curly red hair at the very top of his head. Finally letting go the person looked at Mr. Sandman tearfully, "Please help me escape this air fueled torture device?"

Spurred into actions by his words Mr. Sandman pushed back the airbag with a light force and unbuckled the persons seat belt and helping them out of the car. Dusting themselves off Mr. sandman could clearly tell the person was a male though he barely looked it. Setting his glasses straight across the bridge of his small nose the man- no boy, asked, "Sir, could I request your name in order to thank you for your assistance in helping me escape my vehicle."

"It was no biggie and uhm... my name... is..." Mr. Sandman responded quickly but began to hesitate as he struggled to make up a name. Then he came up with one and quickly spit it out. "Spencer. Spencer V. Maier at your service."

The scrawny red-head had a small smile and responded joyfully, "Issac John Stewart at yours-"

"If ya'll are done lolly gagging I need your insurance card so you can cover the damages *YOU* caused ME." A gruff voice interrupted. They both turned to look at him. Spencer spoke first being a confrontational being,

"Pardon me, sir, however I believe that you crashed into young Isaac here." The rough looking man frowned and muttered to himself, "Damn, stupid witness!"

With the help of Spencer, Isaac got the man's insurance and contact information and called his own insurance immediately to report the incident. After getting everything solved they called the auto shop to tow his car to the shop for repairs. Isaac seemed totally capable of all this himself but Spencer felt the need to look after this young man. He seemed the type of person others would easily take advantage of. People like that- Isaac and Lila- they needed to be protected from people like that gruff construction worker. People that would walk all over them.

After everything was figured out Spencer looked at Isaac in a sideways manner before asking, "So where do you live? I don't have a car myself but I would like to walk you to make sure no one else crashes into you and tries to blame you for it." Isaac looked at him quizzically before looking down and pushing up his glasses. Sheepishly and blushing as though embarrassed Isaac pointed to the house left of Lila's and said softly,

"There." Without thinking to much about it he smoothly responded,

"Well then, Hello Neighbor." with an easy going smile.
