33 Ch. 33 Do you really mean that?

Spencer and Cole escorted Isaac to his home silently, gliding through the fluffy clouds. It was dark now the stars littered the sky above them, but not around them. Cole was quiet and patient with Isaac, while Spencer stubbornly glared at Isaac every once in a while. When they finally made it to Isaac's house, they set Isaac on the cool grass of his front lawn. Isaac moved ahead and angrily unlocked the front door and opened it. Spencer and Cole went to follow. but they found a door consequently slammed in their faces.

Cole only stared blankly at the front door. Spencer's shoulders rose in anger and his fists clenched. With a small click the door locked before them. Angrily Spencer phased his head through the door, and shocking Isaac on their other side, there was a thump as Isaac hit the floor. Spencer with a cruel smile walked over and through Isaac's body into the home. He tried to seem casual and relaxed, his shoulders lowered and his hands buried in his pockets. Isaac was white in shock and he quickly gathered himself and scrambled to stand. He pushed up his glasses and moving forward he pushed Spencer from behind. Not surprised, even expectant Spencer let his body remain solid and even stumbled forward. He smiled wider to himself and his anger only strengthened him.

Before Isaac could react he found the house empty once more, Spencer disappeared into thin air. Spencer shoved Isaac who only limply fell face forward. Shocked, Spencer caught him instinctively as well. Isaac, whom got what he wanted, stabilized his body then stomped on Spencer's invisible foot. He had estimated Spencer's moves once he fell forward and Spencer yelped in pain from behind Isaac. Suddenly a loud and deep laugh from another corner surprised Isaac. He had somehow forgotten about Cole, which could have been a grave mistake. Cole didn't fight though. Only laughed at whatever Spencer was doing. Isaac analyzed the sounds of Cole's laugh to discern Spencer's current direction -until the laughs suddenly quieted. The floors didn't even creak as the two mystical, invisible, and mysterious beings moved freely about the house.

Isaac gave up as he lose track of Spencer. All he could hear was enduring silence for a few moments. His heart pounded loudly in his ears. The instinctual fear comforted him. All he could do was stand ready. He heard nothing as he found himself completely enveloped by something. His arms were crushed to his sides and he felt himself lifted easily off the ground. He struggled for a good few moments before he realized it was pointless. He gave up, falling limp. Spencer let him go, and Isaac slumped on the ground lifelessly.

"All I want to know is... how you could drop me like that?" Isaac croaked from his slumped position on the floor. Spencer let the invisibility slip as confusion overwhelmed him.

"What? I caught you! You were struggling with us! We couldn't keep hold of you." Isaac looked up at Spencer with angry tears leaking from the corners of his eyes. Spencer realized this was about something else, cautiously Spencer crouched before Isaac to hear him better. "What is this really about?"

"I don't want to share my house with you!" Isaac lied uneasily. Behind him, from thin air, came a serious tone,

"Bro we can tell when you're lying." Isaac sighed and he felt the anger in his chest leave. The hollow cavity filled with sadness. He didn't know how to feel. He had never felt this way about anyone before, and he clearly knew what it was. He found himself denying himself the truth. Frustrated at his new feelings he wanted to keep them to himself to continue learning about it. Unable to come up with another excuse to explain his anguish,

"I like Lila... but I know you like her too, Spencer." He explained.
