26 Ch. 26 Ringing

Spencer had made Dr. Smiles ( Dr. Yangkei's new nick name) do the regular check-up procedure. Then Spencer carried Lila to the x-ray room and helped all the set up with her that he could. He had just left the room to stand in the hall when his phone rang. He smiled and checked his watch. 2:30 and they had started at around 11:00. Spencer found himself smiling. He wanted to go find Isaac at that moment, but he had to watch Lila. Plus he promised her a date. Spencer thought to himself. He needed Isaac's help to be able to get into Lila's life. Perhaps he should play hard to get he thought to himself. First date right now might be weird, because she is in pain and preoccupied with her injury. Spencer decided to just take her home under the pretense that something had come up and he needed to go.

There was a click behind him as they finished up the x-ray and the doctor came to fetch him. Spencer carried Lila back to the room and watched Dr. Smiles wrap her ankle and write the prescription. Time seemed to pass slowly to Spencer who needed to find Isaac ASAP. He felt it was his duty to prove how fast he could find Isaac. He carried Lila to her car in sort of a rush. He drove less slowly as he had on his way there. The stopped a pharmacy and he patiently waited as she picked up her prescription.

He told her his excuse for them not getting ice cream and drove her home. He helped her out of her car and against his ego he even helped her set up her leg and the ice packs. When he was satisfied that she would be okay he turned to leave.

"Thank you... a lot." Lila said to his back as he was leaving. He paused and turned to look at her with a smile.

"No problem, anytime you need anything don't hesitate to call me." He left her his number and left afterwards. The instant he was out the door and it was closed behind him he went invisible and got out his tracker. He walked in the air as fast as he could and followed the tracker's directions to the target. The location was across town. Spencer sighed and quickened his pace.

Man I wish I had the ability to teleport! He thought to himself, gritting his teeth getting ready to run in the clouds all the way there, when suddenly an arm reached out and pulled him back as he followed the tracker.

Who else was up in the clouds?
