100 Jealousy (2)

Iris struggled to keep her calm throughout the banquet. However, as soon as midnight striked, she was glad to be excused and didn't hesitate to return to her chambers. Still, the events at the garden earlier kept her awake even after her attendant had left to retire for the night.

She paced in her bedchamber, clothed in a silk nightdress. Iris knew her priority was to find a way to break the bond between her and Lord Kieran, and be reunited with her family. This ugly jealousy she was feeling shouldn't cloud her judgment and make her lose her focus on her goal.

A knock on her door pulled Iris out of her thoughts and she slightly opened her door, revealing Lord Kieran outside her bedchamber. He was still dressed in the ceremonial clothes he was wearing earlier, looking uneasy.

"Is there something you need, milord?" She asked.
