Kieran continued his mission and paid attention to where he was going. The thought of seeing and being with Iris was enough to motivate him to continue. No matter how many monsters he needed to slay, he would do it as long as Iris could return to him. He was probably foolish to believe Killian's words—that they would return Iris to him—but he could feel that his brother was only tolerating it for a reason.

'Whatever it is, I just need to make sure that he will never be able to separate Iris and me.'
